As the days go by, fewer and fewer people are running basics in their decks, you know? But I do wonder if an almost vanilla 3/3 for 1 is even worth it anymore. This is basically Rogue Elephant in a different flavor.

I suppose if you know they're not running many (or any) basics, this might be worth it. But the thing is, its advantage (big body for its cost) is so completely and thoroughly negated by its drawback that the whole venture is counterproductive. The idea is to get an advantage through having a big body early, but you speed up your opponent so that they can immediately match or exceed what you're doing.

Well, you can build a deck around Tocatli Honor Guard and some creatures with ETB drawbacks like this dryad (?)
