Commander - Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build) (dead format for me)
Four of the tribes in Innistrad block got lords, but humans never got one, and it would have been GW. UW was spirits, UB was zombies, RB was vampires, and RG was werewolves.

Mayor of Avabruck is kind of a human lord, although he's a werewolf lord when he flips. But yeah, no 1GW "other humans get +1/+1 and an ability" lord.
I never understood people's fascination with wondering about "cycles" that don't exist. The first one is not a cycle.. it's just the most powerful creatures that cost 2 in their respective colours. They were not planned that way and there is no red creature planned to "finish the cycle".
I can't even begin to wonder what the second one is supposed to be. At first I thought it was 3-mana non-creature spells that do one basic thing, but Naturalize doesn't fit there. Maybe it's supposed to be cards with the fewest text? I honestly have no idea what it's supposed to be.

Those who fear the darkness have never seen what the light can do.
I was also amazed that this cycle wasn't continued in GTC. And honestly I think that most of those guilds lost quite some good cards because of that...
They wanted to change things up between the sets, plus they couldn't justify giving Orzhov one, since there is zero justification for the ability in either white or black.

Hamlet Captain is supposed to be the human lord. Speaking of Innistrad, I miss my legendary werewolf.
The selesnya x spell..... Like 9/10 guilds get an x spell.
Four of the guilds had one X spell at mythic, but Gruul/Dimir had two (a mythic and a rare), Golgari had a rare, and Simic/Orzhov also had two (a rare and an uncommon). So, not really a cycle.
I can't see the connection. Stone Rain is old, the rest is standard legal. Casting costs are different. I don't see a cycle here other than that the cards have 3 words in text.
If these are cycles then there are hundreds of cycles around.
Basic idea is to have a cycle for the core sets that are color-specific and unconditional.
I'm not sure if it counts, but in Return to Ravnica the five associated guilds all received an uncommon dual-colour one-drop creature that fit the theme and colours of the guild: Judge's Familiar (Azorius), Rakdos Cackler (Rakdos), Slitherhead (Golgari), Dryad Militant (Selesnya) and Blistercoil Weird (Izzet).
They tend to be pretty decent in casual guild-themed decks, and I was looking forward to seeing their counterparts in the remaining five guilds in Gatecrash... but they never appeared. I was pretty disappointed.
Boros and Gruul could have really used these too. I think they were concerned that printing that many pushed one-drops in the same standard format could have negative repercussions.

Snapcaster Mage
Red gets ... ??? Goblin Piledriver?
Cancel
Murder
Stone Rain
Green gets ??? Naturalize is the purest green I can think of...
White gets ??? Devouring Light matches what I'm thinking of, though Reverse Damage and Second Sunrise are pretty purely white.
Torchling
Thornling
And no black or white version so far. They made another blue one, though.

You can pretend that Vampiric Tutor from the following set was the black one, but there's still no red one.

I think Gamble much later completed the cycle.

Red: I'd say Mage's Contest or Puppet's Verdict. Possibly Shunt if you want to use newer cards
Green: Early Harvest, Reincarnation, or Rending Vines
White: Reverse Damage, Debt of Loyalty , or Morale
That said, this isn't really a cycle in the first place

Yeah, I remember reading somewhere that Gamble (or something close to it) was cut from Mirage, so they tried again a couple years later.
