Even with the life loss, this card is too powerful for black to have... Life loss is nothing if you could potentially destroy a gamebreaking artifact... Black is not supposed to touch artifacts or enchantments... That's the main reason why Nevinyrral's Disk was so useful... (Besides synergy with Necropotence)...
I would splash red in there to make it less broken... But then it wouldn't be "Moriok..." Think about this: most artifacts which are of any real threat cost cc2 or cc1 or cc0... Moxen, Isochron, etc... Losing 2 life and a simple tap is nothing if I could potentially destroy that HolyDay-Isochron... Black isn't supposed to be able to do that...
Sacrificial Homunculus :symb::symb:
Creature - Demon (U)
Whenever a cost requires you to sacrifice a creature, you may instead sacrifice <this>. "... then add one part homonculus and BAM!"
Saboteur: Black doesn't get artifact kill. Period. I'm just gonna erase those little black symbols and psychologically condition my eyes so they appear red.
There.
As a red spell, it makes sense to reverse the card so you lose life when hitting a non-creature, and also make it damage. I like the concept though.
Insomnia
:1mana::symu:
enchant creature
Enchanted Creature cannot be tapped. The current time is 3:18 A.M., and I'm still going strong.
One of the key tenets of black is that it can do nearly anything for a high enough price. Moriok Saboteur might be extreme, but I don't think it violates the color pie by any means (although it could also be a red card).
Insomnia-Okay, a creature that can never be tapped....I would need to see a rulebook about what that means for the creature....Otherwise, if the way I am thinking of it is correct, then it would be a good card for lockdown on abilities.
Endless Violence 3RRR
Instant
Until end of turn, all creatures attack if able.
If at the end of the combat phase, there are still creatures that the attacking player controls, there is a second combat phase that follows the second main phase, followed by a second Main Phase.
Endless Violence: Major problem is if all the creatures are tapped, then the turn would never end. It would have to untap the creatures, or only activate if there were creatures untapped. In either case, it could become quite insane. Imaging having Khonda attacking again and again and again. That it costs 3RRR could stop that, but i don't like the possibility of that happening.
Æther converter 5
Artifact
Cumulative upkeep: Tap two untapped permanents you control
X, remove an age counter from ~this~: Untap target permenant with converted mana cost X or less
Aether converter- kinda weird. personallly, I don't like removing age counters as an ability cost in this case, because you can simply remove an age counter for to untap a land, or you can just remove an age counter each turn to untap a creature or something while only two tapped down permenants, thus negating any drawback (Which it doesn't really need IMO). which makes it essentially: :xmana:, tap two untapped permenants you control: untap target permanent with converted mana cost X or less. Which is kinda boring I would prefer if removing the age counters had an effect that encouraged you to wait as long as possible before removing all of the age counters or sacrifincing for some big, splashy effect. for example:
Temporal Dam
artifact
cumulative upkeep- tap 2 untapped permanents tyou control.
:symtap:, Sacrifice Temporal dam: return X permenants to their owners hands, where X is the number of age counters on temporal dam.
And now for my card (You can critique that other one if you want as well)
Concealing mist :2mana::symu:
enchantment
Return Concealing mist to its owner's hand: return target permenant you control to its owner's hand.

Try not to become hynotized by the downward spiral of your life. Curisosity Kills...
Concealing Mist - A nice way to save stuff or return Eternal Witnesses for repeatd use. I can't really figure out the correct cost for this one, since it's weaker than Boomerang, but you can use it many times. I think it should be fine like this.
And just for the fun of it....
Phage, Cabal Ninja
4BBB
Legendary Creature - Human Ninja
Ninjutsu 4BBBB
Whenever Phage, Cabal Ninja deals combat damage to a player, that player loses the game.
4/4
Oh, the joys of using Ninjitsu for future cards. Phage, part deux, seems fine
Also, on concealing mist, I think it could be fine as is, or as UU. It's like Broken Fall and Gossamer Chains for blue. Good stuff! (And with Ninjitsu, it can become even more fun).
As for my card:
Temple of the TRUE Gods
Land
T: Add 2 mana of any color to your mana pool. Use this ability only if you have 2 mana in your mana pool.
comradery: i wouldnt play that even if it cost 1 6 creatures it too many perhaps have a cost of 2 and 4 creatures... that would make it good in WW.. any more then 4 is gonna make it unreliable at best..
Blasfemic Sliver W1
Creature - Sliver
All slivers have: When this is put it into a graveyard, you may pay 1 to return it to play, tapped, at your next upkeep step.
1/1
That would make slivers playable nono to board sweepers ^^

Blasfemic Sliver: I'd like to see this as a white/black card....1WB cost for a 2/2?
Wording: All slivers have "When this creature is put into a graveyard from play, you may pay 1. If you do, at the beginning of your next upkeep step, return it to play tapped.
Nice, but pretty powerful....that's one of the reasons for the multi-cost.
Probitious Knight WW
Creature - Human Knight
First Strike
At the beginning of any turn, if ~ isn't controlled by its owner, remove it from the game and return it to play under its owner's control.
2/2 Loyalty to the extreme.
Probitious Knight- Strong anti-blue effect. I would of gone with an effect more towards cards in red like "grab the reins," so that Probitious Knight counters instant steal control effects. Otherwise, very nice.
Loyalist Militia 3W
Creature- Human Townsfolk
Vigilance
Whenever a spell that targets ~ changes it's controller, you may pay W. If you do, remove ~ from the game until end of turn.
2/4
"Loyal to the rightful ruler, but most importantly, loyal to their homeland."
Deceitful Vampire: Simply overcostet and not very usefull. Its uninteresting.
Gready Goblin - R1
Creature - Goblin Rouge
Whenever ~ does damage to a player draw two cards and then sacrifice a permanent.

Gready (Greedy?) Goblin: Couple of questions. I'm assuming it's a goblin rogue (not rouge, as in blush)? And p/t? As a 1/1, it would be pretty powerful.... Maybe if it were "Whenever ~ deals combat damage to a player, draw two cards, then discard a card and sacrifice a permanent." I could MAYBE see it as is if it were legendary.
Greshnak the Greedy RR
Legendary Creature - Goblin Rogue
Whenever ~ deals combat damage to a player, draw two cards and sacrifice a permanent.
1/1
Nice idea though...I like the concept of blue drawing & discarding, but red drawing and sacrificing. Fun.

I'm trying to keep this thread as positive as possible...
Casual, your card is nice, but I'd agree with nan...it's a little overcosted. Sengir Vampire is no longer considered efficient, so I could see this as a 4/4 with the same abilities (esp. since the "extra" ability requires you to go into a 2nd color for the benefit).
Pryte's Despair 2W
Enchant Creature
Enchanted creature can't attack or block.
Creatures that share a creature type with enchanted creature can't attack or block.
Hmm.. I do like it.. It seems like taken out of a onslought designers ideabook ^^
Its balanced and playable, but it looks kindof boring. like a filler card. But definitvly powered corectly and so on
BBB - Demons prayer
Sorcery - Arcane
Gain 1 life for each creature put into a graveyard this turn.
Sacrifice any number of creatures.
Your opponent then sacrifices the same amount of creatures.

Inspiring Baloth - This can be very powerful. A 4/4 for four mana is nothing to scoff at, and the added ability is very powerful as well. I don't think it's too powreful though.
Vitality Force (U)
Enchant Land
Whenever an opponent plays a spell, put a vitality counter on Vitality Force.
Remove a vitality counter from Vitality Force: Untap enchanted land.
Vitality Force - too powerful, enchant this on Gaea's Cradle in 1.5 Rock or something alike and you'll have 35 mana or more the turn after, at least if you can protect your Cradle. No It should be restricted to...say 2 uses each turn.
My card, to dig a card from the pile;
Fading Glory :1mana::symr::symg:
Enchant Creature
Fading 2 (This permanent comes into play with two fade counters on it. At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a fade counter from it. If you can't, sacrifice it.)
Enchanted Creature gains double strike and gets +1/+1 for each fading counter on Fading Glory.
Forming Clouds: Sweet. Expensive, but very nice. It might be nice to have a lower initial cost with a 3/3 body so that it can be useful earlier in the game, followed by late game goodness with recursion. May I suggest "Condensing Clouds", "Cloudgathering", or "Winged Clouds" for a name? Forming Clouds sounds sorta bland.
Sated Zombie 2BB
Creature - Zombie
When ~ comes into play, sacrifice a creature. Put X +1/+1 counters on ~, where X is the sacrificed creature's converted mana cost.
2/2 Mmm...brains.
Cool card idea. Nicely priced. Some ideas: Since you have to sacrifice a creature, Sated Zombie will at least get +0/+0, but you have to lose a card in play. Changing it to may and keeping it the same casting cost is fine, I think.

"If your the sum of your experiences, what does it mean if you can't add?"
"Are you ok?"
"Does it look like I'm ok? I just fell down a well!!!"
Verdant Harmony's ability seems rather more blue than green. However, its greenness is part of its balancing factor, as you're going to need blue to get the most use out of it, and every island you have instead of a forest is one less turn to make hay. Makes GU control nasty again. And I just recently discovered that replacement effects' wording should use "if" instead of "whenever," thus "If you would draw a card, draw two cards instead."
Withering Warlock :3mana::symb:
Creature - Human Wizard (R)

Vive, vale. Siquid novisti rectius istis,
candidus inperti; si nil, his utere mecum.
Withering Warlock - WOW, this guy is a sickening offensive version of Goblin Sharpshooter I think the card can have a little more p/t, since 1/1 feels a little weak for a wizard that can squash away entire hordes of 1/1's maybe 2/3, same cost. And I think you should alter the activation cost for the -1/-1, It wouldn't help many players to see their creatures returned to their GY, yes in madness and reanimation, but I don't see anyone soon to kill a, say Hypnox with this so the uses of keeping the card removed are too little to make it part of the cost.
My card, just want to be little timmy once more :smile2:;
Dragon Caretaker :3mana::symr::symr: Creature - Barbarian
Dragon Caretaker comes into play with three rage counters on it.
At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a rage counter from it. If you can't, sacrifice Dragon Caretaker and put three 5/5 red dragon creature tokens with flying into play.
3/2
Dragon Caretaker: That is rather powerfull. At least in casual that card is pretty much a certain win with mana boost. Perhaps cost 6 and be 3/3. Or even more balanced with 8cc and 5/4
R - Horny Goblin
Creature - goblin
~ cant attack unless your opponent is female

Eternal Bliss 1W
Enchantment
W, Reveal ~ from your hand: You gain 1 life.
At the begining of your upkeep, you gain 1 life.
Return ~ to its owner's hand: You gain 1 life.
Eternal Bliss: Pretty cool. The inability to kill this barring counterspells would get frustrating quite quickly. I could see a lot of your opponent's turns ending with you returning it for 1 life, using up any extra W mana you have lying around for 2-3 life, then replaying it on their turn. In that light, the "beginning of your upkeep" clause seems slow except for the beginning of the game, where it'll sit there a few turns, gaining life and avoiding destruction. I don't think I see anything wrong with it....
Galumphing Gallophaunt 1RG
Creature - Beast
Whenever ~ attacks or blocks, it deals 2 damage to each attacking creature and each player.
5/4 The bull pales in comparison to the Gallophaunt in the crystal shop.
Metal-Melting Lava
Sorcery
Kicker :symr::symr:
~this~ deals 1 damage to all creatures without flying.
If you paid the kicker cost, ~this~ deals another 3 damage to all artifact creatures without flying.
Seems balanced, but obviously it'd spend most of its time in a sideboard rather than a main deck.
