I have a fondness for Equipment like Captain's Claws and Moonsilver Spear that create creature tokens whenever the equipped creature attacks. So, I figured I'd design a cycle themed around the iconic creatures: Angels, Sphinxes, Demons, Dragons, and Hydras. Yes, Moonsilver Spear does already produce Angel tokens, but that was designed as a standalone rather than as part of a cycle.
With this cycle, the creature token requires paying a cost generally involving the appropriate color of mana, but as a tradeoff each weapon also does something appropriate for the associated tribe and color.
Heavenly Blade3
Artifact — Equipment
Equipped creature gets +1/+1 for each creature you control.
Whenever equipped creature attacks, you may pay 3W. If you do, create a 4/4 white Angel creature token with flying.
Equip 3
Staff of Riddles3
Artifact — Equipment
Equipped creature gets +1/+1 for each card in your hand.
Whenever equipped creature attacks, you may pay 3U. If you do, create a 4/4 blue Sphinx creature token with flying.
Equip 3
Demon's Scythe3
Artifact — Equipment
Equipped creature gets +1/+0 and has deathtouch.
Whenever equipped creature attacks, you may pay 3B. If you do, create a 4/4 black Demon creature token with flying.
Equip 3
Dragonlord's Halberd3
Artifact — Equipment
Equipped creature gets +2/+0 and has first strike.
Whenever equipped creature attacks, you may pay 3R. If you do, create a 4/4 red Dragon creature token with flying.
Equip 3
Hydra FlailX
Artifact — Equipment
~ enters the battlefield with X head counters on it.
Equipped creature gets +1/+1 for each head counter on ~.
Whenever equipped creature attacks, you may pay XG. If you do, create an X/X green Hydra creature token with trample.
Equip—1 for each head counter on ~.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I wish there were more variation here. Hydra Flail is a very big departure from a very tight cycle. The mana costs and token stats and abilities could stand to be different. As, frankly, could the bonuses.
Yep. Sphinx should be 3/5 or 2/5.
Demon doesn't need flying and could be a 5/5 for that effect. I'd make the dragon a 3/3 with flying and firebreathing. Angel is fine. Hydra looks fine. But don't like the equip cost. Leave that as 3.
And rather than making them get crazy bonuses. It seems more elegant to just give +1/+0 and the color ability.
Blue gives +1/+0 and flying
Black gives +1/+0 and menace
Red gives +1/+0 and firststrike
White gives +1/+0 and vigilance
Green gives +1/+0 and trample.
White is fine. Perfect even. Sigil something equipment does similar, exalted style. Ill remember the name later
Blue gettimg huge amounts of P/T from cards in hand, or rather Blue getting huge amounts of power from any reason feels off color to me. The overbeing of myth effect of huge power is moore green than it is blue i think.
Black has the weakest static buff. +1/+0 death touch? What is this gorgon's head? Who needs a little deathtouch if the others in the cycle grant huge amounts of P/T.
Red is fine, not as powerful as white but really printable.
Green one looks out of place. I suggest "enchanted creture doubles +1/+1 counter or something" needs to cost 3 and 3g like the rest of the cycle

MtG is where you can hate white players or black players, and still not be racist.
The tokens' sizes are based on past cards that make tokens for those tribes. The 4/4 Demon is perhaps the one exception; most so far have been 5/5.

I mean, X/X hydras and 4/4 sphinxes only appear on one card each anyways. That's far enough from a "standard" token size that it makes about as much sense to use embalm tokens as inspiration instead. I'd use this opportunity to either make your tokens more diverse or more uniform than they already are. For the former, dragons tokens exist at every size between 1/1 and 6/6, with 5/5 being the main size outside of Alara and Tarkir, you have more flexibility with hydras and sphinxes, and demons could be 5/5. For the latter, making 4/4 hydra tokens isn't exactly the craziest idea in the world. Either way breaks from the weirdness of 4 of the same and then wildly different hydras.
