I saw a thread like this a while back and I thought it was a fun look into the lore.
Who do you think is the best swordsman in the multiverse? Mostly from what we know of the character, not necessarily their Power/Toughness and keywords.
Perhaps divide up the best by color, plane or block?
Sorin uses a Sword often enough and deals a hell lot of damage in Sorin's Vengeance, which nicely combos with his Sorin Markov ultimate to insta-kill a player.
But he is just powerful, not really dependent on his sword skills.
As he is incredible old, you can be quite sure he is fairly skilled in his use of the sword (bunch of thousand of years give you some practice).

Blademasters are known for the skill they have , without being overly powerful to begin with.
Toshiro Umezawa fought off some highly skilled Moonfolk with his Jittes. Nahiri, the Lithomancer - Her and Sorin duel, twice. Odric, Lunarch Marshal & Thalia, Heretic Cathar in the story pretty much own the other Cathar's during their escape. Arlinn Kord was once a pretty skilled Cathar in the story. Nissa, Worldwaker has some epic sword skills with her staff that turns into a sword, indicated in The Teeth of Akoum and the latest Kaladesh storyline. (See: Sword of the Animist) Elspeth Tirel fought in the pits with Koth, murdered Phyrexians blender-style with Koth and Venser, and fought alongside Ajani. She killed Polukranos and Xenagos with a really big sword.
Many of the characters you've mentioned don't have any specific evidence in cards or the story that indicate they have any particular sword skills in fairness. Gerrard Capashen was notoriously useless at everything during the entire storyline tbh.
I feel like these guys should be honorable mentions. Even though there isn't much known about them, I feel being a blademaster has got to mean something.
It's most likely whatever Innistrad vampire has been honing it for the longest. Vampire swordsmen are devoted to the art as read in Markov Blademaster, but I doubt it'd be Sorin since he has blood magic and a planeswalker's mana resources so I don't see him putting all his eggs (not even most) in his swordsmanship.
