Hey gang! I'm in the market for a new laptop. Currently I have a rapidly deteriorating MacBook Pro that is 8 years old. I'd like my nxt laptop to be a PC so I have easy access to MTGO. I've never played MTGO, having had a Mac, and not being tech-savvy enough to work around that. I lead a rather low-tech lifestyle, which is why I had originally gotten an Apple, but I'm pretty over Apple and their dubious behavior, and I really want to play more Magic. Not being able to get to my LGSs often enough, I figured MTGO would be the next best thing.
I just need a laptop that gets me onto the internet, can run iTunes, and has word processing. That's all I would use it for outside of MTGO. I'd like to leave open the possibility of one day recording myself playing games, or possibly streaming.
What sorts of laptops do people use for MTGO, and what would be a good laptop for a low-tech guy like myself who just wants to play more Magic?

If you buy one on sale you can get a mid tier gaming laptop (especially last years model) for the $500-$600 range. That should be overkill for MTGO, but if you would like to leave open the possibility to stream you'll be glad to have the extra power when you do that.
I play on a DELL optiplex 745 (work pc), literally a decade old and it runs fine on Windows 7. One of the reasons I'm not excited about Arena, too many bells and whistles may hog this dinosaur's resources.
