Without Emblem:
My buddy s Playing Ruhan of the Fomori and I have Gideon Jura out. i use Gideon;s ability make creatures wing at at him next turn. Would Ruhan's "Random attack" ability override that?
If the above is true...
With Emblem:
My opponent goes to attack phase, he rolls to select target. (but hasnot declared attack) before he declares attackers, could i force his ruhan to attack my gideon by activating the ability now?
There are now two effects stating the same thing; a creature must attack a specific player/object. As such, the player must try to adhere to both requirements. Since they obviously can't and since both requirements are essentially the same (that is, they only change what Ruhan is attacking), Ruhan can either attack Gideon or the player chosen at random. All other creatures must still attack Gideon.
The same situation applies no matter when Gideon's ability is activated.
Both Gideon and Ruhan set up an attack requirement. If they don't match up (which they shouldn't), the creature required to attack can only fulfil one of those requirements. Since that is also the maximum number of requirements that can be fulfilled, the attacking player gets to choose which one Ruhan is going to attack, Gideon or the player randomly chosen by Ruhan's trigger. The emblem does not change this.
