Hi guys, im working on a markov deck and had a quick question. A bunch of my cards have triggers that activate when I sacrifice a creature. Do i have to sacrifice a creature for each card or will one sacrifice trigger multiple effects? Thanks
If they are truly triggers, they don't "activate". If they are activated abilities, they don't "trigger". Unfortunately, it is best to provide actual card examples so an accurate answer can be given as the answer can change depending on the cards in question.
When you do provide the cards, please use card tags.
You are dealing with a triggered ability, if it uses the words "when", "whenever", or "at". Triggered abilities that trigger on a ceature dying or being sacrificed will all trigger of of a single creature's death/sacrifice.
Activated abilities always use the template [cost]:[effect]. They have to be activated seperately, one at a time, and have to be paid for individually. A sacrifice, that pays for one ability will not pay for another.
An activated ability, that has a sacrifice as a cost, will trigger any triggered abilities that look for the event of a creature dying or being sacrificed.
