Could they give us a new and actually "good" Werewolf Legendary for Commander purposes in this?.
There's no chance that FtV would have new cards. It's sold as a product made for collecting older cards.
While I agree with your conclusion, FTV has featured non-reprint cards before (Mikaeus, the Lunarch was featured in FTV: Legends before Innistrad was released), so if an upcoming set were to include such a werewolf, it wouldn't be unprecedented (just very unlikely).

The only three cards spoiled this way were Hellkite Overlord, Sword of Body and Mind, and your aforementioned Mikaeus, so that policy has clearly been discontinued for a long time now. The other fellow hoping that this product would contain a new legendary werewolf lord is the absolute height of wistful thinking. It would also be a complete travesty, since we are talking about a product with a high price tag and a rock-bottom print run.
It feels like they're really stretching their From The Vault themes . . .
Maybe, but there are limited chances to do DFC's due to printing complexities. It feels like they're just using this as a chance to reprint DFC's that they can't easily put in other masters sets. I'd wager next year we get another broader theme.
I suppose but FtVs tend to be expensive and otherwise difficult to get your hands on and that seems incongruent with the main purpose of reprints.

With this one, and the one last year, at least you will be able to get them at MSRP. Granted, I don't mind playing over MSRP when it's worth it, but it's nice to add to the collection for cheap

That's true, but Wizards might be rethinking how to weaken the power of hoarders/scalpers with regards to products like these. It wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing if they created a FTV that actually just hovered around MSRP due to lower-value but still necessary reprints.
Read the Productpage again. With the last sentence in the description: "Each card represents a different aspect of the power that comes with transformation, and each card has a story to tell." I try to give it a shot at the list.
1.+2. Meld = Hanweir or probably Brisela
3. PW>PW = Garruk Relentless
4. Creature>Creature = Huntmaster or probably Delver
5. Creature>Enchantment = Accursed Witch
6. Land>Creature = Westvale Abbey
7. Artifact>Creature = Elbrus
8. Creature>PW = Jace
9. Sorcery>Creature = Startled Awake
10. Color A>Color B = Avacyn
11. Enchantment>Creature = Autumnal Gloom
12. Artifact>Artifact = Chalice of Life
13. Equip>Equip = Neglected Heirloom
14. Artifact>Equip = Harvest Hand
15. (Given that Sword of Dungeons&Dragons is in Unstable, it would be possible to have Grimlok in this, with the whole double-side-printing issue in Unset)

I can't see this set printed without Delver of Secrets being a part of it. A lot of the cards in your list have been recently printed so I really hope that's not the case. Recent cards aren't "vault" worthy (yet).
So I can just buy a JVP for less than the box, in non-foil. Going to pass on this, and hope that the next FTV has a broader scope where they can reprint multiple staples with minor chaff on the side.

I have Delver as an option for the creature to creature next to Huntmaster.
So taking your logic, that shadows-block doesn't count and the notion that there must be enough cards to make up for the value, we would get what?
1. Delver
2. Huntmaster
3. Garruk
4-8. the origins Flipwalkers
9.-15. makes 7 slots filler with werewolfs and other transform-chaff (Elbrus and maybe the Bloodline Keeper could have a slot) but that's it. My list above is probably off in more than half the slots, but i don't think they will exclude shadows-block with "meld" and the Abbey and other contenders.

Q) mgmegadog asked: Why don't the flip-walkers count as transformers? They use the transform mechanic, after all...
A) They technically don’t.
In your opinion can this answer reduce dramatically the chance of having the Origin's walker in this FTV? Or do you think it's only "Grimlock" related?

I can`t imagine this set not having Jace. I believe it`s the number one wanted flip card by a huge margin. A FTV: Transform without Jace would inevitably suck. Then again, FTV sets have sucked something fierce lately, so who knows.

Maro was simply wrong with that answer (and was corrected on a later ask). Jace, Vryn's Prodigy et al all use "transform" in their rules text and therefore are both eligible for this release and for use with Grimlock.

Just wanted to point out (hope it is no repost) that the set also includes ONE Token.
This means that a card like Bloodline Keeper OR Westvale Abbey OR therelike is highly probably included, but just
one of these kind of cards which produce a token.
It's probably from either Arlinn Kord or (more likely, IMO) Garruk Relentless
(although I guess that, counting emblems, both of those make TWO tokens).

"The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again"
Given all the transform cards in Ixalan, I fully expect the new green "Gaea's Cradle" enchantment and maybe the map or the ship. Hell, I wouldn't be shocked if they decided to put Grimlock in there too (despite being a HasCon promo).
I can preorder it from my local grand-distributor as being myself a dealer. In my description text it reads:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From the Vault: Transform assembles fifteen of the most pivotal and sought-after double-faced cards in Magic history.
wow, that is good news, foil token are always welcome hoping its not a typo or some copy/paste error from ftv:lore

I hope that Bloodline Keeper makes this FtV as it shot up to $16.49 after its expected absence in the new Vampire commander deck.
I do have a theory that a card from Rivals of Ixalan will appear in this, as they've used From the Vaults before to preview cards in upcoming sets, and it could even make the token that's being put in this.
