Horse tribal or not this thing is still a brick house of goodness. Putting out a 5/5 every turn is great, especially when to just get rid of them they have to get through the one making it all.
I'm... guessing this is a reference to Egyptian mythology that I'm not familiar with? A bizarre but fascinating card.
The Ancient Egyptians was one of the first people who tamed the horse, of course, they only used it to pull chariots into battle, still...
On topic, love the card. Good to see some of the lesser tribes get some love. Now to break out the Armored Warhorse and Hipparion...
Looks kind of like it was a jackal that they turned into a horse at the last minute (hooves and nose). Alternatively, it could be some kind of weird Set reference.
As weird as the animal is, I really like the dust/shadow horse in the background.
Early Set was depicted with a Snake head, later with the head of an Aardvark. He was never associated with Jackals or Horses. Also, it was first after the conflagration of Horus and Ra into Horus-Re that he started to be associated with evil, before that he was a deity of protection. Specifically, he was tasked with protecting the Sun Barge on its trip through the underworld from the predations of the Chaos Serpent Apep/Aphophis.
Speaking of which, I see clear parallels between Nicol Bolas in Hour of Devastation and Apep/Aphophis.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).
Can they just errata pegasi and unicorns into horses now? This just needs to be done. Also I find it highly ironic that only three of the twenty-three horses currently in magic are white, meanwhile nine of the twelve unicorns and all eleven pegasi are white- but its the horses with a mono white lord. Furthermore of those 23 horses, nine of them are rare and this new one will be mythic, meanwhile there is isn't a rare unicorn in all of magic and the only rare Pegasus is Vryn Wingmare.
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
A lot of people focusing on "horse tribal".
Its pretty plain that from a design & development standpoint, the card wasn't meant to have serious tribal applications, that its meant to be an insular effect. Boldwyr Intimidator wasn't meant to be a hoser to coward tribal.
Its a supercharged control finisher and has a good chance at being a constructed powerhouse
Aerial Responder has been seeing play unless you are strictly talking about whatever meta dependant decks they keep spewing out at the pro-tour and GP levels. I love the card and already have it in my standard deck.

"Sees play" 99.9% of the time means that a card is in a deck that is actually at a GP or Pro Tour because literally anything can be played at fnm

Who cares about the tribal interactions, sheesh, why try to force this card into a contrived janky Horse deck? Playing it on its own without any other horses still gives you a respectable beater, and getting off even just one activation is immense value, TWO indestructible 5/5s? That's some serious horse...er firepower. This guy deserves at least some testing as a Wx Control finisher. And if you're really set on building around this card, lifegain is the way to go, just maximize those token triggers.
It's other horses get indestructable. The horse producing engine itself isn't indestructible, otherwise we'd basically have a turn five 10 power card that can't be removed unless someone is running exile cards.

Do you care more about what decks get played at the GP / Pro Tour, or more about what decks actually work and can win? Just pointing out that depending on the GP and pro tour to tell what is good in a set is like buying snake oil. Most cards are pretty easy to spot as being good as they almost always are cards that are good just on their own. Aerial Responder is just a strait up good card and the same can be said for this horse.

Usually the decks that are played at the GP/Pro Tour level are the decks that actually work and can win. I think most pro players put more time into the game than most of us, so I'd say it's more like getting free snake advice from a herpetologist.
I've tried using Aerial Responder (I was a big fan of Vampire Nighthawk), but it just didn't line up well against the top tier decks that are being played even at the local level.

That's only been the case for the last few seasons. The primary reason is that the decks that the pros ended up discovering were basically too flexible to deal with or were bullet answers to the deck that was too flexible to be beaten. When that happens, it makes sense to go after the pro-tour deck lists because even if someone played a deck that was stacked against one deck, it was basically impossible to deal with the other simultaneously. Once BFZ-Oath rotates the meta is going to be a lot more open from what I'm seeing right now. The only blight left is really Kaladesh block as the cards there are so pushed it will be hard for anything new to really shine, which is kind of sad because Amonkhet and HoD are the return of Cycling, something a lot of people were waiting for since forever.
However, I'm going to say this right now that Crested Sunmare is probably one of the most pushed cards in this small set. I'd definitely try it in modern soul sisters since it is potentially 15 power on the board turn 6, and that is one deck that can actually survive to that point in the game thanks to all the life gain and stalls. There is definitely a deck in standard that can use this guy as a curve topper since there are quite a few ways to get instant speed life gain, so we'll have to wait and see what happens with it. I got far more faith in this cards value going up in the near future vs Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh. What on earth were they thinking when they printed him? It takes something on the level of Ugin, the Spirit Dragon to make those high CMC cards worth it and that is only if there is a way to ramp to it or cheat it into play.

Can we have 5/5 bears now too? I mean, we needed 4/4 Zombie tokens because 2/2's didn't really define Zombies after all.
Also, this card could be a harbinger of Horse Tribal in UnSTABLE, not Ixilan. I'm half serious. (Barnyard theme anyone?)

Horse, 5/5, makes other horse indestructible, make horses. There's obviously a flavor I'm missing here.
Plus, have you seen the art? Those ears? I think they mistook the creature type, it should have been a horse hare.
Well great, thanks for spoiling the "twist" in the Return to Amonkhet storyline.
If alternate art, I could see this one being used with MLP characters
They're going to be silver-bordered cards.
