So let me get this staight
All because it's just 1 Weasley mana source exspensive being strictly better is off limit?
I'm sorry but your the one who needs a vocabulary not me.
It's just 1 mana more that's it and it's because of flash and a +2/+2 more powerful than fungusaur
This is strictly better despite being one more and you know it get over it.
Strictly better has a specific definition, it doesn't mean "more betterer". It doesn't matter if it costs 1 Weasley mana more or 20 Granger mana more. If it costs more mana, it is not strictly better. End of story. Another poster was nice enough to explain it in great detail for you and you're still arguing about this like a petulant kid? You're wrong.

Sorry but that's just mean dude
I don't know about strictly better but now that I do from both of you I can say this
I don't care, look I understand it has to be identical cost to be called this but If it's just one lower/higher on the mana cost and it does the same as another card but better I call it strictly better
My favorite dinosaur species! Wish it wasn't limited fodder.
Meh, maybe I'll be forced to use it to fill out Dinosaur.EDH anyway. I bought a Fungasaur for that purpose. I just wish these Enrage dinos were a little bit better. I see a really fun EDH deck coming together running stuff like Pyrohemia and Rite of Passage.
I think this card is the perfect power level for the casual dino deck. I wouldn't blame dino fans for putting one in a standard deck either. The opponent would never expect it haha. If you're running an enrage package with some of the support spoiled, you have a decent card overall.
It's an ok card. The problem is my interest lies in EDH. Sadly this card is just not that impressive there compared to many of the other insane cards you can be casting at the same mana if you're not trying to make Dinosaur tribal work.

Yes. That's the difference between something being strictly better and just better. I mean, MtG vocabulary aside, even a normal vocabulary suggests "strictly" as an absolute term. I mean, is it really that hard to understand? If you have just 4 mana and need a blocker to survive a turn, Sailback won't do you any good.
I think mtgs should impose a filter that changes strictly better to better. That they get to say to use their hip mtg slang and we don't get triggered. Everyone wins.
as far as the card itself It looks like it could be one of those mythic uncommons. Ambushes a creature and then is a 5/5 on your turn and only cost one colored mana. I will be be first picking this in draft.

@Rhyperior: Hey man. I totally feel you on the power difference between fungusaur and our cool new spinosaurus here. However, Strictly better is almost like a scientific term for many in the magic community. Like the word "theory" in science. It might sound like us forum goers are just being pedantic, but the term "strictly better" signifies something about the growth of the game in general. It's a more loaded than X is better than Y even though they do similar things. Imagine for a moment you were making a casual deck centered around enrage. For your curve, you might have Fungusaur at 4 (maybe just one because it's classic), then Snapping Sailback at 5. These two cards can both be played in the same deck, and a whole turn worth of difference is not trivial. Join us, and maybe you can school a player someday about what strictly better means
TLDR, yeah Fungusaur is WAAAAY worse than Snapping sailback, but this community expects you to use the term "strictly better" correctly.

I told you guys I understand now
I just think this spinosaurus is a better version of fungusaur
Even though strictly better is not allowed to be use
But to say it to everybody I will use strictly better in the right way.
Aaaand let's make that the end of the 'strictly better' argument.
