My god, they keep making that Edgar Markov deck better and better. It is weird because there are some cheap vampires and some very expensive ones in this set. Some suggest a token theme, and others a more value theme. Maybe there will be two vampire archetypes? Feels like a lot to fit in a set.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I feel like that replaces Barrage of Expendables in my cube, though admittedly I'm not totally sure it's even in the cube anymore. I should slot this in even if I don't. Artifact support and sacrifice support in red are things I badly want to cover better. I love cards that serve as an intersection of archetypes.

Check out the thread for my cube if you have the time, and tell me how terrible it is.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)
Why, when EDH has Krark-Clan Ironworks? Sure it doesn't do damage, but it's still way better for spine combo.
Because this also works with creatures? Ironworks requires a dedicated artifact deck, whereas I have decks that already care about creature death. So far the only options to get both (in red) have been like Magmaw and Claws of Gix and not much else.
Not a fan of the second card, I guess it has it's uses, but not my cup of tea... ^^
It's a bit of a tossup for me. Vampires have a surprising amount of good 1-drops, and Pulse Tracker is teetering on the edge right now. I'm not sure if I'll be playing this guy once all of Ixalan is out as there are more 1-drop candidates...

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
But seeing as the only time I ever played Pulse Tracker was in my Pauper Rogue Tribal deck, maybe not so sad after all.
There's room in the world for both!
I had a fun casual vampire tribal deck back in the day. Pulse Tracker did a lot of work for me in a group setting. With all the fun new vampires coming out recently I think it may be time to revisit that deck.
Lannery: "Kari, have you seen my Treasure?" Kari: "I think Ragavan took it. Oh, there he is, near the...cannon...uh oh."
Ragavan: "MWAK!" *stuffs the Treasure into the cannon*
Kari: "Ragavan, no!"
Ragavan: *fires the cannon*
Kari: *facepalms* "Oh, blast..."
Lannery: "Right, then. Since your monkey fired my loot across the sea, he can go fetch it." *stuffs Ragavan into the cannon and fires*
Ragavan: "MWEEEEeeeeee...."

Kari: 'Oy, Lannery! I've got a brilliant battle plan! Lannery: Aye? What be it, then?
Kari: You remember how Ragavan fired your loot out of a cannon?
Lannery: Aye, and I rewarded the little scamp with a quick flight for the trouble.
Kari: Well, that gave me an idea. You see those Sun-Crowned Hunters?
Lannery: Aye...
Kari: What if we fire a cannonball at their bums, then watch as they maul the nearest unfortunate bloke?
Lannery: It's contrived and ridiculous...I like it! Just one suggestion...
Kari: What be that?
Lannery: Let's fire Ragavan at them instead. He be far more aggravating than any cannonball.

Edit. Guess it would have been even more crazy in limited with treasure tokens though.

And we have a more versatile Barrage of Expendables. Pia's Revolution loves creative artillerists.

"We named the monkey 'Jack'."
I want to see that deck be a thing. Kari Zev, Skyship Raider and Makeshift Munitions. Add in Captain Lannery Storm while you're at it.
