Today we bring the release Candidate. This is the version that will go live on the 21st.
There are a few things to keep in mind
X Thing I suggested is not in! - We actually have a long list of things we want to add post release - We will have small pushes throughout after the release adding more and more that you all requested. This includes changes to the DB, style changes in spoilers, and more
Taking all feedback - but only Big bugs will be fixed before launch - Any feedback about issues posted here will get put into our post launch QA sheet. However - only things that we want to focus on before release are key bugs that really hurt the overall user experience.
Just my two cents, but I absolutely hate this change. I didn't like it when it was forced upon Marriland (also recently acquired by Curse) and I think I possibly like it less here.
I especially hate underscores in my username, which is (effectively) forced upon me by Curse. Even more confusing that my user name needs them but they don't display.

Now playing Transformers: Legends. 27-time top tier finisher and admin of the TFL Wikia site.
I navigate php forums by subscribing to threads or using a quick link that does things like "show threads I posted in". As long as that functionality remains, I'll stick around. But as soon as it gets cumbersome to keep up with the conversations I participate in, I'll look for greener pastures.
EDIT: Okay, so I subscribed to this thread. It was easy enough. I looked around for a bit for a quick link to my subscribed content and didn't find one until I clicked on my own name.
It was also pretty easy to change my settings in terms of what to automatically subscribe to. Now we'll wait and see how the notifications work.

YOu need to give details other than just saying you hate the change - nothing can be changed with that kind of feedback
In fact the spaces for the usernames were added 100% out of user feedback. We take all feedback and add it to iterations.
When I click the icon next to any thread (the icon might be a thumb-tack, a conversation bubble, it doesn't always take me to the OP. Nor does it take me to the last page. It looks like it just takes me to a random post.
For example, in the Modern subforum (http://beta.mtgsalvation.com/forums/the-game/modern), if I click on the thumbtack icon next to the "Lantern IQ Season 2 Thread", it randomly brings me to the 16th post in the thread.
Howdy!
I really don't like how users who have not chosen an avatar get that "blankman" one thrust upon them; is there any way to change that? Also, can the custom user titles be placed directly under the user names again, as opposed to directly under the avatar? Some good jokes are losing their effect.

Also, when I click on the thumbtack next to the Banned List Discussion Thread, it takes me to a random post on August 13 on page 104. Is it just not registering that I have read other pages and posts?
I like the way notifications work. And I still can bookmark a direct link to my subscription page to cut down on the extra click on my name to get there.
Just wondering, is there a way to adjust the number of threads per page and the number of posts per page? I was looking around and preferences and such and I couldn't find anything, but it would be really nice to have more than about 10 threads show up on each page.

This is no longer a per user setting, so it will be up to Sally admins to change it when things go live.
The bug related to lists and colors is still alive:
Blah blah
Blah blah blah
Blah blah
Blah
All of the above should be colored, but only the first line is.

Sing lustily and with good courage.
Be aware of singing as if you were half dead,
or half asleep:
but lift your voice with strength.
Be no more afraid of your voice now,
nor more ashamed of its being heard,
than when you sang the songs of Satan.
I believe I've encountered a potentially serious bug; when I followed the link from current MTGS to the Beta, I found myself already logged in on this account, "SpacianEU." The problem is that this is most definitely not my account (my account on the original MTGS is Crashing00) and I never was prompted for a login at all. Nobody else uses this computer and the last time I logged into a Curse site was during the previous round of MTGS beta testing, at which time I was logged in properly as myself. So something strange has gone on with the session cookie, or something.
Does this happen to you consistently after you logout?
Also, maybe I missed this in an earlier version of the question thread, but there aren't a lot of threads shown on each page. Is there a way to increase that count? For example, in the Modern Deck Creation subforum, we always have about 10-12 threads stickied (http://beta.mtgsalvation.com/forums/the-game/modern/modern-deck-creation), but now those stickied threads take up the entire first page. On the current live version of the forum, the deck creation subforum has 66 threads on the page, the majority of which were updated either today or the previous day.
If I am a user who is browsing the forum, I need to be able to see as much activity as I can, not just the top 10-15 threads. This is particularly important in very active subforums. One solution might be to add a feature that lets you increase the threads per page. But that actually doesn't work If the "increase threads per page" option is tied to accounts, however, then visitors with no account won't be able to see the other threads on subsequent pages.
Honestly, I think that the new site should display the same number of threads per page as the old site, or at least something very similar.

This is a setting controlled by the admins. They can change the threads per page and posts per page.
Also, now, apparently, we have to go through an admin for every CT change, instead of having the default ability to do so at 1000 post count.
I'm unhappy with the loss of functionality...
Also, on the new version, on the main forum index, it lists the time of the most recent post as [X] time ago, but on the current live version, it's listed as the absolute time when the post was made, not in relative terms of how long it's been since the post.
Any chance of making the absolute time display a valid option? I know it does something since I see the absolute time while the page is loading before changing to X time ago when the page is fully loaded.

So far, so good.
Some forums were hidden and have odd permissions for beta. Permissions for forums will be set once live

Hey! same thing as above - its just a permission thing! It is, and will be there
looks like the job that runs and marks them as expired might be a little to picky Will get that fixed
and yes - legacy threads will still be up!
For example, in the Modern subforum (http://beta.mtgsalvation.com/forums/the-game/modern), if I click on the thumbtack icon next to the "Lantern IQ Season 2 Thread", it randomly brings me to the 16th post in the thread.
So no, I doubt being specific will help any. Thanks for trying.

Just a friendly reminder that I will drive this car off a bridge
That takes you to last unread post. If you have never read it, it takes you to first post
I can understand that
Ill talk this over with the admins and devs
I went to the Great Modern Meta thread (http://beta.mtgsalvation.com/forums/the-game/modern/511593-the-great-modern-meta-thread) and clicked on a bunch of random pages, then posted my own "test" post at the end. Now when I click on the thumbtack in the Modern forum, it takes me to the first post in the thread, not the last.
Also, when I click on the thumbtack next to the Banned List Discussion Thread, it takes me to a random post on August 13 on page 104. Is it just not registering that I have read other pages and posts?

That's a setting, just flipped that on. All users can give themselves a custom title at 1000 posts here.
