Been brainstorming a bit trying to think of a deck to abuse this guy's abilities. One that I think could work fairly well would be mass discard/hand control. Creatures such as Liliana's Specter, Rotting Rats,Mindslicer as well as the staple discard cards Smallpox,Delirium SkeinsDeathcloud, and then using tutors to get cards such as Syphon Mind, Ambition's Cost, Decree of Pain, Phyrexian Arena and the like to rebuild my hand position, while keeping the rest of the table at relatively low amounts of cards to use. Eventually the card advantage I will get from being able to cast my creatures from the graveyard should allow me to win easily.
I will be playing plenty of creatures that will be synergistic with Karador and will have plenty of disruption (Mass removal, artifact/enchant destruction etc) to deal with whatever people will have on the field. Green will primarily be used for mana ramping/mana fixing and I likely won't have too many green cards otherwise. Creatures will be Green/White/Black staples - I have most of the useful ones already because this deck will be a converted Doran/Teneb deck (neither of which were very general-centric at the time I built it because it was my first EDH deck).
I am curious if you guys think a strategy like this could work, and if you could suggest any additional cards in order to assist me in my goals. I believe I need some quality creature sacrifice outlets in order to get the above mentioned creatures into the graveyard so I would be able to recur them each turn.
Gah! I don't know. I really wanted her to have something to do with Poison, or at least recur Infect creatures. Recurring Artifacts to hand seems alright, but I'm not sure if it's interesting enough for me to want to build a deck around her.
How relevant are First Strike and Deathtouch on a General?

Well she can kill any non-striking creature, which is cool. Recurring artifacts are always nice, you'd probably be better off with sharuum. I mean white and blue play a lot nicer with artifacts than green.
I do like that she comes out early, and is pretty tough to block.

If you having burn problems I feel bad for you son. I got 99 problems but a bolt ain't one.
Kind of disappointing for Commander. The recursion ability is nice but lack of evasion, a tiny body and 2 unexciting keywords really holds her back.:-/
I like Glissa. I'm not sure how abusable she is, but she's a great blocker, and hard to block. In the GB color combination, I would more readily choose Thelon or Nath, unless you want to do some sort of Mindslaver lock with a pinger equipment.

That seems pretty narrow. I'm not saying she's amazing (I haven't tested her yet), but she is in Black and Green and then does auto-recursion of artifacts - kind of a big thing in EDH I can see a deck that uses a lot of Dredge to fill the graveyards with goodies and then kills things to bring them back. The obvious things to try would be Board Wipe Artfacts to keep the game in check, but just grabbing stuff that you Dredge seems fine too. My knowledge of artifacts is somewhat limited, but the ability to tutor up dead artifacts all the time seems fine.
I am curious about her Type 2 application since I can't for the life of me figure out why she's Mythic. She feels more like Rakka Mar etc. in terms of "Legends in the time of Mythics" NOT like Rafiq of the Many.
I like her. First Strike and Deathtouch on a 3/3 aren't super relevant for attacking, but she'll hold back any land-bound threat without first strike, and if you give her flying or reach, it actually becomes pretty hard to attack you.
Now, here's the real question: what artifacts would you run in this type of deck? I could see a recursion theme going with dredge, some good black reanimation spells, and recurring different artifacts for advantage, but what artifacts can we put in (besides Mindslaver) that sacrifice themselves for fun and profit?
Of course, I'm betting we get some relevant ones in the next block... She might make a good infect general after all when they're done with her. For example: Ichor Rats, Glissa, Damnation, get at least 9 triggers, recur Geths Thron nine times, kill everyone?
EDIT: Wait, she returns the artifacts to your hand? OK, I'm less excited.
As a connoisseur of fun, interesting matches, I still to this day have not been able to craft that "perfect deck"; the deck that I can play and have fun over time, doesn't get boring, but simultaneously is fun to play against. I honestly don't think it exists. It's like a unicorn. A ninja unicorn.

Well first strike and death touch does feel kinda Mythic in the sense that it's probably always going to get damage through and will definitely deter you from being attack. She'll definitely be a force in limited too.

I think Glissa is going to be an INSANE general. Load up on tutors in black, and creature tutors in green, play Grave Pact, Butcher of Malakir, Savra along with Bottle Gnomes, Mindless Automaton, Moriok Replica, Yavimaya Elder, S-T Elder, Pentavus, Triskalevus, etc. Good times to be had by all.
I agree, Glissa the Traitor is completely stupid. How about a mindslaver lock at 10, where all you need to do is have them crash their creatures into Glissa's open, deathtouching, first striking arms. There's the obvious combo with executioner's capsule, but what about Smokestack? If they sack creatures, you'll just return your own artifacts that you (hopefully) sacked. The list goes on and on. I'm building it.
Forbidden Orchard seems pretty tech with the new Glissa. Easily fetchable in green, and provides fodder to truly make a 'Slaver lock. I'd think Solemn Simulacrum would be a shoo-in. Edict effects, or, as stated, Grave Pact and Butcher of Malakir would be great.
EDIT: Wow. Do you know what's really good with Forbidden Orchard? Night of Soul's Betrayal. If you can find a way to untap lands repeatedly...

Damn it all. Just when Bosh becomes legal, I think I have to put him on the backburner. Glissa just looks like so much fun to make a deck around. Voltron plus artifact recursion, and you get to run Viridian Longbow and not be ashamed. Irresistable.
Hi guy i want to make the new EDH deck and the General will be Glissa, The Traitor she is the new cards from Mirrodin Besieged spolier. her ability
Glissa, The Traitor BGG
3/3 Legendary Creature - Zombie Elf
Deathtouch, first strike
Whenever a creature an opponent controls is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, you may return target artifact card from your graveyard to your hand.
so for her what cards i need to make the good combos
Thanks for the help
P.S. i am new to this website can any one teach me how i show other people what deck you have like at the bottom of ur chat???? thanks
Oblivion Stone, Nevinyrral's Disk, Excecutioner's Capsule all bring themselves back when activated.
Grave Pact, Butcher of Malakir force opponents to sacrifice a creature whenever one of your creatures die (Hint, use sacrifice outlets and self sacrificing artifact creatures like Moriok replica, Sylvok replica, Bottle gnomes.) Savra is also useful this way but more restricted.
Corpse Dance is also good with the grave pact/replica/sacrificing creature plan.
Well there is a start. I will probably try to build this myself. Good luck, maybe we can compare notes later.
How about abusing the first strike/deathtouch combo? Nemesis Mask on Glissa can result in your opponents' creatures being quickly dispatched in combat if they don't have first strike themselves.

None. Creature Type - Zombie? In Dredge colors? Sign me up.

Ok I will anyways. Thopter Assembly's pretty strong with Skullclamp.
Pretty much creature + Skullclamp is strong but this seems just saucy.
