Yeah I currently have just one copy of Coalition Relic and it's in another deck, but I might be moving it to this deck soon to replace Obelisk of Grixis.
Got a lot of games in this weekend, so new thoughts:
I've gotta lower my curve a bit. I got hit repeatedly by Ashling the Pilgrim and didn't have an answer until turn 4.
Thoughts:
You should probably up the off-color basic counts. A second Island would help your overall problem with double blue mana. This would also increase the value of Burnished Hart. Terramorphic Expanse and Evolving Wilds are also very budget friendly and decent ways to fix your colors. I consider them standard equipment for a budget list. Trinket Mage could be of some value as well. The addition of 3 artifact lands (Vault of Whispers, Great Furnace, and Seat of the Synod) would allow him to function as a Civic Wayfinder of sorts in addition to his usual targets.
You could also look into some of the other 5-color lands. I'm only listing budget friendly ones, for the most part. Vivid Creek - You already run one, why not the other 2? Vivid Crag - Ditto. City of Brass - The down side is negligible in EDH. Bad River - You really should have the other one. At least get the on-color mirage fetches. Flood Plain - Even with only 1 land type in your colors, this is still useful because it can grab either of 2 of your shock lands. Mountain Valley - Ditto. Exotic Orchard - This is quite useful in the early to mid game in multiplayer matches. With 3+ opponents, you should be able to get all of your colors, or at least most of them.

Notes: Dictate of Erebos has been fantastic so far. I'm beginning to feel a little creature-light, so moving forward I might try to cut a few non-creature cards and throw in a few more creatures. Once I get my hands on an Undead Warchief he'll go in - any other gotta-have zombies that I don't have in here?
Okay, those were some lands. Here are some good cards to consider (if you wanna take a quasi-stax route in order to be able to maximize Lord of Tresserhorn's efficiency at being able to go do some damage:
With so many creatures you're gonna be sacrificing (and your opponents too), those cards become painfully brutal. Also, while sacrificing so much, you might as well enchant Lord of Tresserhorn with Sadistic Glee

Regarding my mana base - yeah, unfortunately the mana base is still a work-in-progress, since a lot of my other decks borrow some cards that I do not have extra copies of.
Specifically regarding your suggestions:
Mana Confluence, City of Brass, Reflecting Pool, Forbidden Orchard - my deck is mostly black. I have five red mana symbols throughout my whole deck and twelve blue mana symbols. This is the primary purpose for my mana base being so heavy in black and so few on the rest. In terms of lands with drawback (painlands, granting extra benefits to opponents) I try to stay away from them, when possible, because my deck needs so little of the off colors that there are better options for me to have access to those colors without having a drawback. This is the same reason I do not run the karoo lands you mentioned.
Yup, I have definitely been meaning to add the other 2 vivids and the third scryland that are on color.
I addressed Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and Cabal Coffers in my original post, under "Would like to add". Once I get an Urborg, I will add them both in.
Yeah, I can tell your deck is practically all black ;). Thing is, the Lord is only 25% black. If you wanna cast him as soon as possible you need to have all colors early on. If you wanna keep it that way, then you should definitely add Chromatic Lantern. Best mana rock ever, in my opinion.
My YouTube Channel: The Commander Tavern - a channel I just started where I'll post deck techs and gameplays. Please support by checking it out. Maybe you'll like its content and subscribe! Thanks!
No problem! Tolaria West is basically a land tutor for 1UU. Like I said, very important. If I can help it, I never use Tolaria West as a mana producing land. If I'm manascrewed or have no other choice, I can always bounce it back into my hand with the Ravnica "karoo" lands. They're more useful than people give them credit for. Not only do they bounce an ETB ability land, they give two colors at once when tapped.

Yeah, it would be great to get another use out of Tolaria West, but my meta has plenty of land destruction, so a deck like this, which needs a high mana base, would be punished severely for using the karoo bounce lands.

Change 9/9/14:
+Wheel of Fortune
+Undead Warchief
-Vengeful Dead
-Lich Lord of Unx
Reasoning: I finally picked up copies of Wheel of Fortune and Undead Warchief, so I'm trying them. out. The wheel seems like a no-brainer for this deck: it lets me stock up my graveyard, leaves my creatures in a safe place (the graveyard), and fills up my hand. It also forces people to ditch their hands. The warchief seems very solid as well, as my curve is still pretty high and the lord buff is significant. In terms of my cuts, Venegeful Dead was the weakest of my tax effects - it's tied for the highest on the mana curve (4), only triggers when a zombie dies, and does not gain me any life. Lich Lord of Unx was a neat card, but in play it was often too slow to be effective. I have better token generation, and though the deck makes a ton of mana, it only creatures a ton of black mana, so I was never able to abuse his mill ability like I wanted to.
It's kind of a meta call, but I might test swapping in a sword (probably Sword of Fire and Ice), I've been casting Lord of Tresserhorn more lately and he's being chumped consistently.
Hi all, sorry that it's been a while since I posted, I've been playing primarily standard since Khans dropped. Anyway, I got some games in the past 2 weeks, and Necromancer's Stockpile is been amazing! Very powerful engine to pump out dorks and keep the gas going.
I hope this is allowed by the mods, but I've been watching the Commander 2014 spoilers, and there are a lot of interesting possibilities! The black deck has been mostly spoiled, and below are some cards I would like to test out. Please let me know what you think about these, or if I missed anything you think would fit!
Malicious Affliction - great kill spell, low on the curve, easy to turn on the morbid aspect of it. Will probably test it out in place of Dreadbore, as my meta has been very low on planeswalkers lately.
Raving Dead - that ability if he connects is just too tempting! Will probably be too slow, but I might try it out in place of Liliana's Reaver.
Flesh Carver - bummer that it's not a zombie nor is the creature it leaves behind, but it's a cheap sac outlet that at the very least replaces itself. The equipment in the deck would really boost this too. I might try it out in place of Ob Nixilis, Unshackled, who has been underwhelming.
Ghoulcaller Gisa - seems fun, though probably too slow. Wish it was a zombie. Not sure where I would test it. Same with Stitcher Geralf.
Unstable Obelisk - the deck is weak to enchantment and artifacts, and this would help solve the issue. Might try it in place of Karn Liberated, who while good, gets stuck in my hand a lot. I'd rather tack the relevant ability onto a land and free up another spell slot (maybe for another test card?).
I've gotten a lot of games in lately, and have been very happy with upping the equipment count, I might add another sword here soon. The only issue is that I'm not sure which sword to add nor what card to remove.
Also, I might end up trying out Living Death, as I'm interested in a lower-cost sweeper and I don't own a copy of Damnation. My biggest concern with Living Death, however, is benefiting my opponents. Anyone have extensive experience using Living Death in multiplayer edh? How often does it backfire?
I can honestly say I haven't seen Living Death backfire too often and the only time I've seen it backfire has been when someone casts it out of necessity to survive a little longer but they wind up simply prolonging the inevitable. I run it in my LoT deck along with Decree of Pain, Toxic Deluge, Cyclonic Rift, and In Garruk's Wake (I know it's super expensive but planeswalkers are a big thing in my meta).
Got in quite a few games this weekend, definitely going to put in a Living Death. Other thoughts:
I have been unimpressed with Ob Nixilis, Unshackled. His effect is powerful, but he's easy to play around.
After seeing its power in my Atogatog deck (listed below - it's fun!), I'm considering adding Cover of Darkness. Giving all my zombies fear would be devastating in most of the games I played in.
Stronghold Assassin is strong on paper, but he has felt slow so far in practice. He's still a zombie, but gives him points, but he's very easy to play around. I'm on the fence on him now.
Black Market is good, but it's also very slow. This deck does not get a lot of attention, so being slow isn't always fatal, but as the deck shapes up, the slower cards, albeit powerful, are going to be on the chopping block.
The Trading Post package turned out too slow as well. It's cute, but I think I'd be more inclined to run that package in a more control-oriented deck.
Got in a lot of games this past week, the deck performed well. However, Narset, Enlightened Master decks have become very popular in my meta and I'm having some trouble dealing with them. So much so that I'm considering adding Arcane Lighthouse to the deck. I think my mana base can handle it, but that will require testing. Big update coming next week, where I'll test out some of the ideas from the previous posts and trim some of the fat that I've felt has been underperforming.
Dark Deal - I've been very impressed with Wheel of Fortune, and this is just a watered down version of it. It will fill the graveyard, protect me from answers people have been sandbagging, and breathe some new life into my hand. However, it won't fill my hand back up, which might be a problem.
Merciless Executioner - it's similar to Fleshbag Marauder, which has been amazing in the deck. He's not a zombie, which makes it off-theme, but I might overlook that detail on this one.
Sultai Emissary - not a bad looking zombie. I'd get at least two sacrifices out of him, and a chance to manifest into a great creature. Downside is that I might manifest an important non-creature, but testing will determine if he's viable.
Monastery Siege - amazing card draw with loot, which I like. Efficiently costed. I might give it a whirl.
Reality Shift - unconditional exile with a slight drawback, looks appealing to me.
If anyone has tested any of the above in a deck like mine, I'd love to hear from you. Otherwise, I'll report back once I've had time to play with them.

I'm considering adding Nevinyrral's Disk, Death Baron, Coalition Relic.
Tried Muddle the Mixture, great card, but that double blue is something that I'm having trouble reliably reaching given my mana base.
