I'm thinking a green black shell to pair discard with mana dorks. Drop Descent with a planeswalker out and then take the game state to an empty board except for your planeswalker ready to ultimate. Is it too slow? I could envision a board state where your opponent could power through Descent. If you're chumping with tokens then you lose the advantage in permanents. Thoughts?
Descent into madness pairs best with Assemble the legion, those two alone provide a hard lock. In Mardu colors, you can also then run other powerful stax cards like Suppression Field, Blood Moon, etc
Edit: Ensnaring bridge also fits well, especially since the tokens that survive can swing under it and then you can empty your hand.

Come watch me stream over at my twitch channel. I play Loam Pox, Ad Nauseam, and jank in modern on MTGO.
The short answer is that it's just too slow. It's cool as a fun janky deck, but you need to tap out t5 for something that doesn't affect the board. You'd be better off making an actual token deck in modern.

That being said it's a fun janky deck. Someone else mentioned Assemble the Legion and the two go well together. Also of note Elspeth, Sun's Champion, Lingering Souls, Kher Keep. You can also try an artifact ramp Wildfire or Death Cloud type strategy.
