Frank is excellent for these types of things and is usually who I turn to when I can't figure it out on my own(aside from looking what other similar decks do and adjust from there).
According to this I need to hit around 14 black sources, 18 green and 12 red. Now I am 17 black, 17 green and 13 red.
So I could go down 3 black and up one green. But it only calculates for a 90%, having 16 black sources is probably smart. But do I need 18 green? I have 4 aether vials.
Honestly, I'd say you're pretty good as is. Remember, his are minimum suggestions. You can make yours better if you're able to. Aether Vials definitely make a difference.
I don't think I would play a basic mountain in that deck. Getting ghost quartered off red is a small price to pay in comparison to how often drawing that basic mountain is going to make a hand unkeepable.
In modern, isn't it always best to run a couple basics because of Path and Quarter?
It depends on how critical the color is to your strategy. He has 2 forests and 2 swamps already. Traditional Jund never ran a basic mountain and this deck has even fewer red spells
The reason specifically that Mountain is the worst basic is that blood moon is a huge reason to run basics, and blood moon gives you all the mountains you can eat.
Path is a reason to run 3-4 basics, which this deck has. Ghost quarter is the only real consideration but since he has a grand total of 4 spells (ravine and 3 kc) that rely on red I think I would skip it. The cost is high of drawing a mountain.
I truly don't see why (First) red is in this deck. Plenty of other cards could take the place of command and would increase his odds against burn and other fast aggro decks. (Second) Why would you play a mountain in just about any multiple color deck deck? Main reason to run basics is because of blood moon. Mountain is the exception. (Third) why not at least bolt in this deck?
Why are you even playing red. 3 copies of command is not enough to make stretching your manabase worth it lol. Throw in some Lightning Bolts and a Grim Lavamancer or go golgari. After thats done, then you can think about your manabase.
Cut 1 Mountain, add Treetop or Raging Ravine
Bloodstained Mire Wooded Foothills split go from 3-1 to 1-3
and maybe cut one red fetch for another manland
also red seems more of a liability than an advantage here
and aether vial too, just replace them with bolts
I need black mana turn 1, and my endgame needs 2 green mana. I have not considered sideboard cards yet.
19 Creatures
4 Dark Confidant
4 Tarmogoyf
2 Scavenging Ooze
3 Eternal Witness
3 Kitchen Finks
3 Tireless Tracker
4 Aether Vial
4 Inquisition of Kozilek
2 Thoughtseize
2 Fatal Push
1 Collective Brutality
2 Abrupt Decay
1 Maelstrom Pulse
3 Kolaghan's Command
My suggestion for lands are:
2 Swamp
1 Mountain
4 Verdant Catacombs
3 Bloodstained Mire
1 Wooded Foothills
1 Blackcleave Cliffs
2 Overgrown Tomb
1 Blood Crypt
1 Stomping Ground
That sums up to 17 Green, 17 Black and 13 Red lands.
The mana symbols on the cards are:
24 green, 19 black, 3 red. (If you count raging ravine it is 25 green, 19 black, 4 red.)
I would love to have one more manland, prefarbly a Treetop Village. I consider that one superior to Raging Ravine. Hissing Quagmire is terrible except for the colour fix.
Edit: Is there a good guide to mana symbols and how many sources you need?

Good luck with your deck..
