I'd like to talk about Untaidake, the Cloud Keeper. lands that tap for 2 seem very powerful, even with drawbacks. is it playable? Specifically I'm thinking about the new planeswalker rule. are turn 3 ajani vengeaent and gideon, ally of zendikar good enough? is a combo with oath of nissa in some sort of planeswalker ramp deck playable? does the fact that it comes it tapped make it hot garbage? are there any non-planeswalker uses for it? let's discuss!
The second biggest problem is it's legendary, so you can't conceivably get 4 mana in one turn off two lands. Looking at Tron/Eldrazi, their sol/dynamo lands act as regular lands outside of their special conditions. They don't even CIPT, so you can still get your T1-2 plays out before completing Tron, or use the Temples to get a Chalice on 1 before you power out Smashers/TKS. With Untaidake, you can't even use it to cast anything else, so you're basically time walking yourself to get a Gideon a turn early.
Everything just seems to be going against Untaidake, unfortunately.
So is this now Mardu Planeswalkers? What does black add other than Urborg? Both playable Lili's are 1BB, so Untaidake doesn't help. You're still relying on yet another Legendary land to make your not good land slightly less bad. This just doesn't seem viable.
I found an Aetherworks Marvel deck that had Top 8'd a Modern tournament and tried sneaking an Untaidake into the mana base (note that it can pay for all planeswalkers and the Marvel). Sadly, it still disappointed me, mainly because it doesn't tap for regular mana.
Urborg is pretty much all that black adds. Lol. At least you can have BB on turn 2 to play non legendary spells while still running the land to boost your legendary spells. Lilly isn't the only legendary spell you can run.
I think the lands holds a lot of potensial if you abuse it.
There are two ways I can see it.
1. Use it in a green black super friends deck. The deck would include oath of nissa to get out planewalkers fast. A key card would be Garruk Wildspeaker. Once you run him you also runn Utopia Sprawl. Garruk costs 4 mana, you have 2 lands that can make 4 mana, so casting him is free. Black had discard spells and good sweepers to keep down combo and creature decks. Add black planewalkers. I also think Oath of Liliana would be very good to generate blockers keeping your planewalkers alive.
I wonder if this could slot into some kind of 5 color legendary creature deck. Can use the 5 color land that can only cast creatures. That 5 color land that can only cast gold cards.
The biggest problem, previously, is there is no guarantee something can be cast when you draw it. Now you do. Since decks using companions generally build around it, resolving it one turn sooner seems like there is potential?

I still say the best possible use is to play it with Urborg. I can see the two working quite well together as one will allow you to tap this painlessly and this can help ramp to big bad guys earlier than expected.

Combos with Urborg to get a Legendary Swamp, hell yeah!
When I see Untaidake I think about Yawgmoth's Vile Offering for some reason. Card never really got any respect. Maybe it's bad but I love it
Pretty sure every legendary land combos with Urborg to make a legendary swamp... Even Urborg combos with itself to make a legendary swamp. Lol. 1 card combos are the best. But I tend to think a little deeper than that and go for something a little larger in scale... Like actually winning games of magic. While this combination isn't strong by any means. Is it possible to have a deck packed with lots of legends that already uses Urborg and put one or two of these in it? I don't think this deck actually exists currently, but could possibly have some Planeswalkers some kami and then some typical legends.

2. Place the land within a amulet of vigor primeval titan deck. (You know the one that got banned.) That deck already play 4 Azusa, lost but seeking. Change Ancient Stirrings with Oath of Nissa. You can add Reki, the History of Kamigawa for card draw. Find some other legends that fitt in there. Go to town.
Does The worst-rated land in the history of Magic work well with companions?

I've tested some Companions in Modern (Lurrus of the Dream-Den, Jegantha, the Wellspring, Kaheera, the Orphanguard, Zirda, the Dawnwaker), and I'm currently finding that the deck-building costs either might be a bit too much for the card to be a Companion (Jegantha in Niv-Mizzet Reborn decks, possibly Lurrus in Abzan Traverse the Ulvenwald Midrange, Lurrus has been hell on Infect's mana to boot) or the Companion needs only 1 generic mana and therefore Untaidake, the Cloud Keeper is a waste (Lurrus/Kaheera/Zirda).
