Rootborn Defenses is the only one resembling heroic intervention that I know of that tokens may like. Generally they either go for selfless spirit, or trust in their hand control / attempt to play smartly around board wipes.
Have you checked out the B/W tokens thread in the Developing Competitive (Modern) forum? There are lots of good people playing and practicing there who can give great advice.
Legacy - Sneak Show, BR Reanimator, Miracles, UW Stoneblade
Premodern - Trix, RecSur, Enchantress, Reanimator, Elves https://www.facebook.com/groups/PremodernUSA/ Modern - Neobrand, Hogaak Vine, Elves
Standard - Mono Red (6-2 and 5-3 in 2 McQ)
Draft - (I wish I had more time for limited...)
Commander - Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build) (dead format for me)
Thanks for your guys' answers. I played MM3, and spaced out on Rootborn Defenses. I just recently put Gideon in the deck, so I'm confident now.
I know playing intelligently is the key- ie when you see a turn one celestial colonnade your prepare yourself for what's to come. Some times it's hard to work through every board wipe
I'll check out the tokens thread!
Splash red for a better deck while also getting some sweet SB cards? Boros Charm is main deck able and provides reach and sweep protection at the same time... While also allowing a creature to mess up combat math with double strike.
If you want to be proactive you can play Sin Collector/Tidehollow Sculler to take the cards out of their hand before they can even cast it. This slows them down by a turn at least which can give you enough time to find a win.
It'd be nice to have a heroic intervention type of effect as maybe a 2 of in my SB.

Other than that, I think Tokens just relies mostly on discard, so maybe upping that to include some Collective Brutality would be a better option.

There is also Make a Stand, though it probably isn't better than Rootborn Defenses.
