Thanks for answering my questions Shane. Your build is awesome. ( your first post wasn't up when I began writing) Be sure to let us know where you get your analysis report published. I think a lot of us would really like to read it.
I'm Shane- Terastodon is only in there for Tron. Relic is difficult to play through, but that's what Stony Silence/Abrupt Decays are for. You can still perform that fulminator plan through a gifts package for ghost quarter/tectonic edge/life from the loam/raven's crime, with Surgical Extraction locking them out. I'm writing a tournament report today, then seeing if/where I can get it published.
Oh that is cool congrats on the top 8! I was rooting for you and sad you didn't advance for a pro tour slot. Definitely want to read your article on the deck, great to have you on the thread and good luck in the future.
I don't think loam and shaman are that anti synergistic. You can dredge stuff and then exile to get the same effect if you've already cleared out their yard.

Yeah, I agree with this. If anything I think that Life from the Loam helps feed Deathrite Shaman. If you are on the Raven's Crime plan (or mode), I'm not sure that you would want to be using shaman's first ability anyway. It's all situational, but Loam helps Shaman more than hurts.

TCG is a good site IMO and they just pblished the Tron quarter finalist. If you want my honest harsh (and drunk) opionion S C G are a bunch of wanker "Australian expletives"...
Loam is so powerful on it's own and the death rite acell bump is not needed every turn from shaman.

He said he didn't think Channel Fireball would publish his article since he knocked LSV out of the top 8
I'm guessing SCG has more readers, so I don't blame him for going there first, he said he's try out TCG and CFB if he got rejected.
1 Linvala, Keeper of the Silence: Against Pod's deck, and Splinter Twin.dec
2 Obstnate Baloth: Against Burn and some decks with Liliana. But i think replace this with Loxodon Smiter
3 Fullminator Mage: Against Tron
1 Creeping Corrosion: Affinity and Artefact Based decks
1 Surgical Extraction: Fullminator+Extraction on a tron land is GG. And is the better grave hate actually
3 Extirpate: Read Extraction
1 Zealous Persecution: Affinity, Twin, Weenies
1 Maelstrom Pulse: More Removal
1 Dispel: More Counters
1 Stony Silence: Against Eggs together Extraction+Extirpate
I've toyed with forbidden alchemy, but it felt way too slow, unfortunately. I like Dispel against any decks with counterspells, plus burn and storm. I'm home for Thanksgiving right now, but I'll probably try to stream when I get back to my apartment. Internet sucks here

Good read, and it's definitely nice to see control do well in modern.
A few questions:
1. I've played a lot of random gifts decks, and my biggest problem with 4c gifts with a lot of separate "engines" is that they always seem to get a lot of useless cards stuck in hand until it can assemble the full engine, which often is too late. How often did you find yourself with a dead rites, iona, or elesh norn in hand? Or how often did you get loam without raven's crime? Did Liliana play a big role in being able to ditch useless cards in hand here? And did you give any consideration to playing cards that could potentially trade dead cards in hand for draw (compulsive research, thirst for knowledge, see beyond, etc)
2. Did you give any consideration to Terastodon to help out against Tron? I had tried the idea a little while back in a sideboard gifts / rites package, and it worked *okay* but I felt like it somehow wasn't the right answer. I had seen a few other people have success with it however, so it's difficult for me to say if it was just me getting unlucky or not.
3. If you had to change anything in the deck, what would you do going forward?

1) In your report you listed that you sided in ghost quarter vs storm. Was that a typo? If not could you please explain?
2) You said in the comment section that you might cut vault. What land would you put in its place? I played vault in the b/w tokens deck and it was hardly relevant. I could see cutting it.
3) Someone made the comment that you always sided in decay and that you could cut 1 snapcaster to put in they 3rd decay. What do you think about adding a 3rd decay main deck?

I'm not sure if I understood your comment, but there's a Terastodon in his sideboard in his GP Chicago list (2nd list).
I've been using a Fulminator mage also in SB against tron, it works pretty well if you can play him and surgical extraction it's game over for tron.
Also when do you use dispel and what alternatives are there to it?
Thoughts on forbidden alchemy? It seems to cynergize well with the deck
Fulminator Mage feels like a slower GQ, but it's possible I'm being too dismissive of it.
I like Dispel against basically any blue decks- delver, storm, UW all have more than a few instants I don't want resolving, and it's great at forcing through a gifts on turn 5. It's also a healing salve against burn.
I toyed with Forbidden Alchemy at the beginning, but the card feels wayyyyy too slow. We're already playing four cards that don't immediately impact the board, and adding in more can lead to too many hands that don't do anything.

Ghost Quarter comes in instead of Vault of the Archangel because Vault does absolutely nothing, and there are corner cases where you need to GQ yourself to fix your atrocious mana.
In the vault comment, it was for Academy Ruins. That's the only card I could really see replacing it at this point.
Right now I'm playing third decay over third mana leak.

3. If you had to change anything in the deck, what would you do going forward?
1. Elesh Norn ends up being hardcast more often than you'd think- this deck does a pretty good job stalling out against the midrange decks. I've shamelessly cast Unburial Rites on both Deathrite Shaman and Snapcaster Mage. However, these cards more often than not end up being Liliana +1 fodder, which I am perfectly fine with. Drawing loam without crime is actually fine against several decks- Lingering Jund only plays three basics, so I've had a couple games where I just GQ lock them without the crime.
2. Terastodon is in the SB. It's fine, but not great.
3. Abrupt Decay over Leak, Beast within in the SB slot from decay.
its not recurrable, and exiles itself and does not provide a body. I think that one mana makes a lot in this case.
How is witness recurrable? Rites? the list only runs one copy.
I know treasured find doesn't provide a body, but the abilty to do Snap, Find, Card A, would mean you could always get Card A from gifts.
I'm going to try it out over Lingering Souls number 4 as I foten find I ahve too many Souls, it's a dead card in several MUs, though I could put the 4th souls in the board for certain MUs.
Bad case of deck envy for this list. Costs so much
If was to play it, I would try to develop Life from the Loam synergy a bit more. In a meta of three and four color decks, being able to GQ stuff every turn seems really powerful.
