I've thought about this kind of list as well, I think it might actually be doable. But I think you definitely want chalice main because Angel+Chalice/Chalice+Padeem/Angel+Padeem are all good combos.
My idea would be:
cut 4 talisman for 2 chalice 2 spatial contortion
cut spell burst for ugin
cut 1 repeal for cyclonic rift

I like the Ugin idea on second thought, I've got one I can test. I'm hesitant to cut all 4 talismans because I want to consistently be able to activate padeem's draw effect. I might cut 1 or 2 for chalices though since that will trigger effect as well. I can also try cyclonic rift, but first I need to test out my current list some more to get a feel for this style of deck because I just made it.
Cyclonic rift is amazing as a 1 of, because if you cast it, overload or not, it is a massive tempo change.
I run two ugins myself, but that's because my meta allows it. I'm the prime control deck in my LGS, so I can afford to force stuff later and later and have more advantage.

Mono Blue Tron is the only deck that should be called "UrzaTron"
Modern:
Izzet Coilstorm
UrzaTron
EDH:
Izzet Shenanigans (Arjun)
Slivers (Sliver Overlord)
Jor Kadeen token explosion
I just don't want to slow down the deck, because it seems with this build the optimal game plan is to rush out angel asap. For that ramp from talisman is good, cantrip from repeal is good, and spellburst can be used early on if necessary, but it's really there for protecting the angel once you have tron. I feel like adding Ugin even though I love it and have won many games in the past with it might slow it down, and I don't want to distract from the plat angel gameplan. I can't think of too many times in this deck when I'd want to cast Ugin over angel considering I can protect angel and I have Padeem.
I've been running variations of tron, mono tron and tron with 3 emrakul, the promised end and she's performing perfectly for me, to the point that I don't even get to the point that I need to mindslaver lock my opponents to win. Honestly I think i'm about to cut mindslaver altogether.
I find that performs the best because thirst for knowledge lets you dump for delirium/card types reducing Emrakul's cost, allowing you to get to a perfect 8cc/9cc curve consistently.
Before double posting you could just edit your post from one hour ago.
How do you plan winning against infinied life with emrakul, the promised end?
I wouldn't bank on Emrakul's mind slave effect beating infinite life, but that is only 1 match up. In all the rest, she is living up to her title "promised end"
If i really wanted to shut that deck down, I'd probably bank on jester's cap to steal the combo pieces, or torpor orb.
maybe a damping matrix if there is a lot of creatures with activated abilities, but that can hurt me too. Thing is though, unlike pithing needle it locks down with a broad brush, which is what you need sometimes.
ummm... i used 2 spellskite for a bit, and it was never bad, but i never really wanted to draw two, even though you can pitch one to thirst or whatever... 3 chalice 1 skite has been good to me. you can make pretty good prisons with angel skite and chalice.
Maybe it's bit risky, but I would keep it. Island and go (can scry 2 if there is some ultra fast deck to dig for answer).
Question: What do You think about remands these days? I'm often confused about them - my local meta is way too fast (to be honest: for contermagic at all). I know that they fundamental in this deck but I'm tryin a list without them.
This deck only works if you have a crapload of counterspells that dig through your deck as you gain tempo. remand, condescend and repeal are the secret sauce that give it enough velocity to assemble tron. I would never play fewer than 10 of that package (with 2 repeal being the minimum) and the majority of the time I played 4 repeals I liked it.
@Pokken: Sure, repeals are great in every meta
Yea, it's a Great "big picture" derFeind I've got same feelings, but as You wrote: fast metas = poor remand times.
Kept playing, went 4-1 in a 33 players event, losing in semis.
Affinity 2-1, on the play. Was really rough, didn't knew I could win this without Chalice of the Void or Engineered Explosive. Remand for stalling, Repeal for bouncing and cheap creatures (Treasure Mage and Solemn Simulacrum) made it possible for game 1. Game 3, he had a slow hand and being on the play helped a lot too ; I landed Platinum Angel on turn 3 with Tron to ensure my victory.
Jund 2-1, on the play. Very midrange game. I was under less pressure this time then against Affinity. I used a lot Remand and Condescend for outvaluing 2-1. Landing treats on turn 4 was the way to victory (Sundering Titan was a gamechanger).
Storm 2-0, on the draw. Not much to say, I countered the fast mana spells and he couldn't do it.
BW Tokens, 1-2, on the draw. Too much board presence. I was I had Oblivion Stone to clear the board. I wasn't able to handle the boatload of tokens on turn 2-3... Removal also was hard for me on turn 1 IoK both loses.
Death and Taxes 2-1, on the play. Not much to say, long game of interaction. Thalia and Blade Splicer were good for him, Aven Mindcensor also while searching for lands. Eldrazis on his side couldn't match our big threats, so Wurmcoil Engine did it all. Treasure Mage was hard to use for fetching this time.
Quarters: 2-1 GW Hatebears Pretty much the same thing as above.
Semis: 0-2 Zoo Too much aggro on his side of the table. I felt heavy and really slow. The only good thing was turn 2 Remand, but then again, I felt helpless and vulnerable (very slow).
In all, here's my updated list after a couple of weeks playing the deck now :
yeah you need remands to make the deck work properlyyyyy
havent you boarded them out vs like affinty, then get stuck on top deck mode trying to dig for a wincon, with 15 mana on board, slowly dying to a man land?... idk. i've been leaving remands in on the play vs burn and affinity recently and doing well. maybe only 0-2 on draw
padeem is ight. im running 2 atm. Having more than 1 platty angel and pact to build around him is pretty dumb though. Just run an extra treasure mage instead or something. Padeem + chalice is also pretty damn good

I've taken out Remand on the draw because it's not that good vs. Affinity. In general, it's not a great card against Robots, but it does the job against other decks.
I've been glad with my sideboard, but Warping Wail is not great. I wish I had Engineered Explosives for 2 slots.

Sadly I don't have enough MTGO replays so if any of you have played a decent amount of blue tron on MTGO pls message me and I will tell you how you can send me your replays. I am hoping to get shoks replays one of these days.
