fatal push might be a great addition to our deck without even being in the 75. if the format starts to slow down and decks like grixis control become prevalent, then i think we're in a good spot.
THIS!
This is what I am most excited for. I really think this will have a big impact on the format and I am excited for that.
Unconditional, recur-able removal of any permanent than can be tutored with Fabricate and Trinket Mage. Not sure what exactly I would use it against, but if we ever have a need to remove a late game Enchantment, Creature or Planeswalker, maybe this could be interesting. BIIIIIIIG Maybe. After all we have Oblivion Stone for that role and it hits all non-lands.
I tested Gearhulk, Padeem and Endbringer on stream. Gearhulk is bae, Padeem and Endbringer too slow/durdly but still nice value cards. In a way slower meta they might be ok. Also since shok managed to delete all his replays I am looking for people to send me their mtgo replays. More info
Is it necessary for the guy to get all pumped up like that? He sounds like a real moron... That was pretty savage though. Rumor had it that tron player couldn't win a match in the new year.. The tide has turned boys!
Good bans for us. Not obvious how things will look in a few months but infect and dredge were both popular and tough to play against. Infect will clearly still be around just less popular and a bit less good, dredge on the other hand should be dead, which means all of our sideboards just got 2 free slots

I wouldn't count on Dredge being dead. I'm currently in the process of building Dredge which Ive been doing ever since SOI release before it became tier 1, but I did it slowly because I just wanted to trade for the pieces instead of spending money. So yeah, the ban kinda frustrates me as I never even got to finish the deck, but I can tell you from over on Dredge's page that the deck still has options. Golgari Thug is the most obvious one, but there are others. I wouldn't be shocked if Dredge only drops to tier 2. Of course I like to be optimistic because no matter how far it drops I'm still going to finish building it if it's the last thing I do!
Incoming hot take: Previously new Emrakul was too expensive for me to consider toying around with. Now, with it being banned and the price heading towards the dumpster I'm asking for everyones opinion on the cards. Is it better than mindslaver? Maybe as a replacement for sundering titan which has really struggled with the inclusion of the new fastlands? Is now the time to pick it up??
Definitely not better than mindslaver, being an artifact in a deck with ruins and treasure mage and thirst is huge. I'm still liking titan a lot, but I could see testing an emrakul in that spot.
If valakut decks start to gain more traction though I'd definitely not shave the titan.
yeah bans are def good for us. two of our worst match ups just got nerfed a bit. i will say that gx tron is poised to take the top spot, so we should prepare accordingly.
would it really hurt dredge that much? they still have stinkweed imp and golgari thug..maybe they should've banned Cathartic Reunion instead, i could be wrong..but hey, just my 2 cents..

Went 9-1 today on stream. Earlier this week 8-2. Makes 17-3 this week! Currently sitting at average 72% winrate over the last month. And this is before bans! I am testing Crucible of Worlds and Ghost Quarter in the side against Tron and Valakut decks.
atta boy pierakor..very nice... the bans in modern have been due for months. I've been against gitaxian probe for years now. Awful cards like monastery swiftspear, become immense, deaths shadow, thing in the ice, can all be what they are meant to be again.
And infect is a lot more difficult when you don't get to look at your opponents hand.
Pierakor. Big boy pants yet or still in the kiddy pool?
