Thanks for the breakdown and kudos for pulling off the match win where you had to deal with Chalice in every game; I'd have flipped the table and left before round two started...
It helps that I've played this girl now 4 times and she's won 2 of them. I've come to expect the play of Eldrazi Temple into Eldrazi Temple into Chalice of the Void or Thought-Knot Seer. I am one of those very superstitious players and I always expect her to play a 1 drop into Chalice of the Void on 1. Then I expect to draw only 1 mana spells and lands, leaving 3 Spirit Mantle, 4 Daybreak Coronet, 4 Kor Spiritdancers, and Unflinching Courage. So anything short of that will make me happy. This is one of the players I fear the most because her draws have been so consistent in the 4 matches I've played her (small sample size is part of the reason as well).
and no, it did not go well. Won't ever do that again, Hah
Please tell us what happened and why. Although I believe that GW is the best, I was going to give some other "versions" a spin after the next big tournament for myself.

I found that having to add 4 Battle Rage, kind of diluted the deck a wee bit much. I didn't like how it took out Paths, as Infect is already a bad matchup for us.
Also, I didn't find it to even fire off once. Only ended up with Temur in my hand once and I didn't even have a chance to cast it.
Round 1 vs. Grishoalbrand. Turn 1, Faithless Looting, turn 2 Goryo's Vengeance Griselbrand. He had to Nourishing Shoal a Borborygmos, but then went to discard. When I put lethal on the board with a Spirit Mantle, he Nourishing Shoaled a Borborygmos Enraged again. He won a few turns later when he his Worldspine Wurm was big enough to barely trample damage over an 11/11 NON LIFELINKed creature. Lifelink would have won the game at any point. In the next game after Gaddock Teegs and Rest in Peaces came in, he did turn 2 SSG X 2, Desperate Ritual, and Through the Breach Worldspine Wurm. I decide whether to cast Rancor or Hyena Umbra on Kor Spiritdancer in case I draw Daybreak Coronet. I do draw it, but after a triple block leaves my Spiritdancer without any gear, I have to chump with it. I top deck a Bogle, but only have 3 total mana to play Bogle, Aura, and then be 1 short of putting another Daybreak Coronet that I drew. 0-2.
Round 2 vs. 8 Whack. This was the first time I saw this newer player. She drew pretty terribly, which was the first time I'd seen this happen (usually I squeak out wins vs. this deck, despite a seemingly amazing matchup). She flooded in game 2 while I drew Daybreak Coronet both games. 2-0.
Round 3 vs. Jeskai Queller. This is our resident UR player. In the first game, I get a big Bogle quickly. He runs Cryptic Commands, but fails to find a 6th land to Snapcaster Mage another back. In the next game, I get off to a good start again and he just doesn't have enough. He had Runed Halo for my Bogle, but I had Nature's Claim in hand. By the time he got another Runed Halo, I have another Gladecover Scout with Ethereal Armor and it's big enough for lethal. I drew 2 Gladecover Scout and 4 Slippery Bogle this game. 2-0.
Round 4 vs. Kiki Nahiri Chord.. I am unsure about the composition of this deck since this guy likes putting his own spin on things, but I know he has the Angel Feeder Combo. In the first game, I get 2 Kor Spiritdancer by turn 3, and then draw enough Auras to go all-in on it since I lose to Path to Exile anyway, especially with Restoration Angel on top of his library (Courser of Kruphix in play), 5 mana, and no Path to Exile for me in hand. I go all-in and luckily draw enough Auras with Ethereal Armor for game. In the next game, I draw a nutty hand and explode while he does Chord for Reclamation Sage to hit my Rancor to keep any damage from getting through. He tries the same thing with Restoration Angel off Chord of Calling next turn, but I had drawn a Path to Exile and the Rancor tramples for lethal. It was a super quick hand with double Daybreak Coronets. 2-0.
Round 5 vs. Mono Black Rack. I am deathly afraid of this player. He always seems to draw super well, drawing discard early, then Smallpox and Ensnaring Bridges midgame, and then Shrieking Afflictions and the Rack like crazy in the end game. He beat me before a bit back in games 2 and 3 when I opened on Leyline of Sanctity. The games at that time were not close and this time was nearly the same. There is a card that will help him in any situation and that's the card he got. Yep, I'm pretty salty that I have not ever looked at a Mono Black Rack deck list, yet I can guess what he will play nearly every turn. 0-2.
I get 3-2, which is good for 6th place. I only dropped one place that last round, but it's frustrating to know that if that opponent drew the same way as he did against you, he'd probably never lose a match at FNM. Two more days until the RPTQ!

Another thing about it, 8 rack is just a terrible MU for bogles IMHO. All of its draws can look pretty bleak for bogles. Bogles really is a combo deck. I started in modern on mono black 8 rack. What you are describing is just what the deck is built to do. It's also a deck that needs to be piloted similar to lantern control in that it rewards solid knowledge of the format. If he has any knowledge of bogles you're just going to feel... Well... Salty.

Thanks for the report; looking forward to hearing about the RPTQ results! Make Bogles great again

Edit: good luck in a couple days! ! !
Yes, I know. I shuffle people's decks a decent amount at FNM, although definitely not as much as I do at other tournaments. I in fact do shuffle the deck of opponents who I remember to have drawn very well against me an extra bit.
You are right. It is a terrible matchup. It may be as low as 10/90 - it's hard for me to accept that. It's just that I have a plan for beating him. It involves a Kor Spiritdancer and 3 lands, getting too many creatures and lands to hurt me with Smallpox. After side, it involves Nature's Claim for his stuff and starting the game with Leyline of Sanctity. But I have to admit that I haven't also tried to stick with this plan, often keeping 1 land hands with Bogles in them and hoping to draw the rest. So, I can accept my own fault in that, although part of that is not wanting to mull so often against this deck and this particular player. It just sucks to me that although this guy doesn't play much, whenever I am not X-0 at a tournament, I have a super good chance of facing him. I guess with 30 or fewer players, there's always going to be those players who you always face every tournament they play and others who you haven't played in months... You are definitely right. I was salty, mostly because I try to not show it much in tournament play (where I try to act like a stoic robot). I have to vent somewhere. I was salty at the beginning of the tournament because I knew I'd face him sooner or later. After I lost the first match on turn 2 (basically) twice, I figured my chances of playing him are now better. Then at 1-1, he was in the same bracket as myself. We each won the next one, then he was next to me facing Abzan Company, which I would presume to be a poor matchup. One game went good for him and one game went bad for him, but I figured he wouldn't win and when I won that round, I figured I'd face someone, anyone else. I even would have rather faced Abzan Company, which is a terrible matchup, to a really good seasoned Abzan Company player.
Thanks guys for wishing me luck. I'll try my best - hopefully my play is crisp because when I play well, I tend to do very well.

Round 1 vs. Abzan Company. I mull a 0 land hand to Dryad Arbor and Temple Garden for lands. On turn 2, I made a mistake. I put double Rancor on Dryad Arbor instead of Rancor and Ethereal Armor. I felt like it may fall to Fiend Hunter, but it made my attacks tough because I lost the Dryad Arbor to a blocker, then a Bogle later on to a blocker after I put the 2 Rancor on that one. I drew a Forest, but never drew a White source and had to constantly leave up Path to Exile because he was doing Collected Company or leaving up Chord mana every turn. It became a grindy game and I still had Forest and Temple Garden in play. I eventually Path to Exiled in response to the combo, then Path on a Spellskite later, but I get comboed on that turn anyway. I win the next game when he taps Gavony Township for lethal with 2 Birds of Paradise with now 2 counters each, but I use my 1 card in hand - Nature's Claim to gain 4 life and swing back for lethal after needing to topdeck a single Enchantment (had Ethereal Armor in play with 1 off lethal). I drew Daybreak Coronet. In the final game after a mull to 6, I have a Gaddock Teeg with Ethereal Armor, but it is Abrupt Decayed. He eventually gets a bunch of Collected Company (E Witness) while I have 2 creatures, a Bogle and a Kor Spiritdancer with Hyena Umbra. He swings with 7 creatures and I block 2 of them, falling to -2. I was counting on Daybreak Coronet in this game since he had been keeping a single card in hand the whole game (and Reclamation Sage was already in the graveyard). 1-2
Round 2 vs. Bant Eldrazi. In game 1, it went like it should. He Thought-Knot Seer and Smashers me, but I Path to Exile and then get a 6/3 first strike Bogle. I get there with that. In the next game, he uses Engineered Explosives and Smashers to get me. I had mulled to 5 and couldn't find anything that could contain him. In the last game, I put Rancor on a Bogle, then go for Daybreak Coronet on the Bogle instead of Gaddock Teeg. It seemed like he didn't have a card that was possibly going to kill his Noble Hierarch, so I think he top decked Engineered Explosives to get the Bogle. I rebuild with Gaddock Teeg, but when he is about to lose to it with Spider Umbra and Daybreak Coronet, he top decks Eldrazi Displacer, displaces it, and hits me down to 7. I top deck Path to Exile after I crack Horizon Canopy and do it to the Displacer. I swing and he blocks with Noble Hierarch with him at 1. He top decks Blessed Alliance. Thing is that I drew Leyline of Sanctity on my first draw step, so with 2 Gaddock Teeg in hand, I knew it would never be played, so I discarded it to Path to Exile his first Reality Smasher. The Blessed Alliance wins it since I can't rebuild in time, only able to cast Gaddock Teeg or Bogle with Spider Umbra (2 mana in play) at 3 life. 1-2.
Round 3 vs. Infect. This player has been on the Pro Tour at least 7 times. He also has beaten me in 3 win-and-ins at GPTs and PPTQs. He also beat me in Innistrad Block at the Anaheim GP on day 1 when both of us were 4-0, then he won the Grand Prix the following day. We are friendly though, as he is a cool guy. He mulls to 6 in both games and fails to find a creature in time. He literally nearly came back in game 1 after I just put 2 Umbras on Bogle and he eventually drew a 2nd land and played Blighted Agent, but I had Daybreak Coronet and Spirit Mantle. 2-0.
Round 4 vs. Abzan Company. In game 1, I am set to beat him with a fairly strong hand, but he kills my Auras and then top decks Orzhov Pontiff to clear my 2 Bogles (one with 2 Rancor). I draw no more creatures and his next 2 draws are Collected Company, Collected Company. In the next game, I keep on Dryad Arbor and Rancor Ethereal Armor. On turn 2, I draw Bogle and go all-in on it with Rancors and Ethereal Armors. Turn 3, 12 damage, turn 4, 22 damage. In the last game, I play Bogle and Kor Spiritdancer. He plays turn 1 Birds of Paradise, turn 2 Kitchen Finks, turn 3 Melira, Sylvok Outcast and Viscera Seer. I had 2 Path to Exile in my hand and was going to leave them up after turn 2, but I'm not counting on him doing turn 3 combo. 1-2.
Round 5 vs. Dredge. Finally, the main reason that I played Bogles. In the first game, I make a mistake of casting a land instead of Dryad Arbor and I draw no lands next turn after some draws from Kor Spiritdancer Auras. This cost me and I never came back with no lifelink cards. In the next games, I basically won with Gaddock Teeg stopping Conflagrate and Daybreak Coronet doing lethal. 2-1.
Round 6 vs. Lantern Control. In game 1, I win because when he had 2 cards in hand, he couldn't draw a land to probably cast 2 Ensnaring Bridge in hand (my honest guess). He kept a 1 land hand. In the next game, I keep a 0 land hand with Bogle, Rancor, triple Leyline of Sanctity, Nature's Claim, and something else. THIRTEEN draws later, I finally find a land and then 6 more turns of not finding a 2nd land happened. It was at a point where 2/3 of my deck left was lands. By this time, he had 3 Ghoulcaller's Bell, 1 Ensnaring Bridge, 2 Welding Jars, and Academy Ruins. I don't scoop even though I know I can't win because I want the last game to either be a quick win by myself or go to time. The last game is similar to this one except I have early Leyline of Sanctity, Rest in Peace, and Stony Silence. But he has Nature's Claim immediately for Stony Silence and I don't have a creature. By the time I get some, he has 3 Ghoulcaller Bells again. Good card. I can see that the Judge is watching this game intently, perhaps wanting to give a stalling penalty for a player that is not even remotely in contention for prizes, much less top 8. So I play and watch the glaring eyes of the Judge with a bunch of players watching. He can end up beating me on turn 5 of turns by double milling both of us and using Academy Ruins since he used Nature's Claim on my Rest in Peace and made sure I didn't draw *****. So I just scoop since there's no point in us wasting time for the top 8 to start and even less point in getting a bogus stalling penalty for trying to be a darn 3-3! This is a terrible matchup anyway. It just sucks to lose this way, giving someone 13 turns with me only having triple Leyline of Sanctity in play. 1-2.
I get destroyed, 2-4. I was pretty disappointed. I would have done very well with Dredge. A group of players all ran Infect at this tournament and me and the 2 guys I came with saw 0 Jund/Junk decks at this tournament! I was happy that at least a guy I drove with made top 4 with Dredge, going 10-0 in games (2 IDs) and got the Invitation to the Pro Tour Dublin. But I was also VERY, very disappointed in myself for not getting it for myself since I was actually pretty confident.

First game on the draw. They didn't really have an answer for my hexproof creature. T3 Thought-Knot Seer taking Daybreak Coronet slowed down the game a little but the win ended up being mine.
Game 2 he is a little slow to play Chalice of the void and only gets it out on turn 3. I have a creature out with hexproof and a totem armor on it. I enchant it with spirit mantle as well as daybreak coronet and take the game.
Round 2 Sun and the Moon 0-2
Evil deck. There wasn't a way to win. Game 1 I'm on the draw. Razorverge Thicket into a creature, go. Turn 2 he uses simian spirit guide to play Blood Moon. I have no mana base, game is a loss.
Game 2 I'm careful to get a forest and a plains but I face 3 wrath spells turns 3 4 and 5 into a Gideon Jura turn 6. Game is an utter loss.
Round 3 UB Spirits 2-1 Win
First game he cant deal with my creature. On turn 4 I swing a 16/14 all the mechanics creature at him.
Second game he gets me with a blessed alliance and I can't stabilize after that. I side in Leyline of Sanctity in my path slot
Game 3 I don't see leyline but I'm very careful to play around the idea of a blessed alliance. I don't have a creature with trample but it is big and I only swing it when he taps out enough to not be able to play blessed
alliance. I end up getting a second smaller enchanted creature online and swing both at him which uses a blessed alliance to live for one more turn. He draws on his turn and then concedes the game.
Round 4 Nacatl Burn 2-1 win.
We play for fun and he ends up reporting a 2-0 victory since he was paired down against me. A win by me would maybe get me back into 3rd but take him out of 1st so I concede to him before we play. In truth I end up squeaking out a 2-1 win. It's my friend borrowing my nacatl deck and I didn't feel like taking the victory. Since it's just for fun we both dont sideboard and just play a couple games.
On the play. He seems adept at drawing atarka's command against me. Even though I end up winning he gets me down to 4 life after he uses atarka's command on the third and fourth turn. On the 5th turn I finally swing for win.
On the draw. A turn 2 eidolon puts me at a huge disadvantage. I have no path in hand to deal with it. I take massive amounts of damage enchanting my creature and cant swing as I need it open for blocks at that point. I finally get daybreak coronet on my creature, swing however his singleton atarka's command assures I dont gain any life. He upkeep boros charm me for the win.
On the play. I have 2 daybreak coronet in hand along with a rancor and an ethereal armor. He has no atarka's command , finally. I roll straight through him and end the game at above 20 life.
It's a fun deck. I ended up making the mistake of trading my seal of primordium for nature's claim because it had sounded that the people who were playing chalice of the void had traded their copies into the shop and I wanted to be quicker with the deck. The seals are going straight back in. Other than that anyone have any idea for sun and the moon? First destruction spell was saved by my totem armor but nothing could save it from the rest. Perhaps its just a loss in the end due to the style of the prison deck?
Does anybody have a link to an article/other resource that breaks down the percentage chances of drawing x card when running 1,2,3,or 4 copies? I remember seeing it a while ago, but came up empty looking back through the primer. I'm re-tooling my SB and I'm mostly curious in regards to Leyline. I notice a lot of folks still run 4 out of the side; I had to cut it down to 3 because I would get the most redundant opening hands and/or boned late game.

Thoughts on Sram, Senior Edificer vs Kor Spiritdancer? Appears that it would allow for the same amount of card draw, but instead of pumping spiritdancer, we can focus on pumping our bogles.

Yeah... but he is legendary... Spiritdancer make a big tank... both are vulnerable to almost all removal.

There's nothing stopping you from pumping your Bogles with Spiritdancer in play. This is pretty much just a smaller and legendary Spiritdancer. The upside of having 2 power when completely unenchanted shouldn't matter much because you still won't want to risk him in combat unenchanted. He does allow us to play more than 4 of the effect but I don't think we really want that anyway. Personally I'm already only playing 3 Spiritdancers.

Absolutely. However, more often than not, my spiritdancer will allow me to draw maybe one card before it dies to removal. Assuming that I pump her up with anything other than Rancor, I'm wasting an aura that would've drawn me a card, but also would've stuck to a Bogle. That's actually one of the main reasons why I only play 2 of her in the main and maybe 1 SB depending on my meta; I figure I have nothing to lose by replacing one of those with a single Sram. Considering Kor is a lightning rod for removal and our only other source of card draw is Canopy (or Keen Sense for those who run it), throwing away even 1 non-rancor aura could be a game-killer. I also agree that the upside of having 2 power standard isn't anything to write home about, but I can think of numerous matches where even 1 power would've been enough to keep an early game mana dork in check, get in free damage early on after a bad mulligan w/ kor and no bogle, etc. I'm not expecting to re-invent the wheel, but kor has always been underwhelming for me, so I'm interested in playing around with a functionally-similar alternative that can occasionally provide extra value.
From a meta call, do people feel boggles may get better? Infect and other fast aggro decks will be hit by fatal push, leading to either a rise in midrange/big mana.

IMO, fatal push will be adopted by almost any deck that runs black and either doesn't currently have access to, or needs, better removal. However, I can't see it having that significant of an impact on the metagame and still think the format will favor aggro decks. Seth Manfield wrote an article regarding 5 Modern cards to un-ban and made an argument for each; I agree with what he had to say regarding Jace and I think the format needs to buff control decks in order to truly shift the balance away from aggro. Regarding Push and Bogles specifically, I would love for that to be be the case since I have a pet deck bias, but I'd imagine it would ultimately depend on what role Push plays. If it ends up being played in addition to already established creature removal (e.g. PtE), then that would definitely seem to help us simply due to our opponent having less room for relevant answers in their 75. I don't think we can really know until it's adopted, but I'm hopeful that Push does indeed alter the meta and allow Bogles to jockey for position.
won't play Sram since I am Polish and the name is kinda unfortunate but seriously I had more situations where I thanked Wizards for Spiritdancer's pump than a need of other creature with 2 power.
Ok, with dredge, suicide zoo/bloo and infect taking the hit from the bannings and fatal push getting printed to disrupt other aggro decks: Is this the time for bogles to shine?
Also still wondering about peoples thoughts on Renegade Rallier in bogles build...?
Well, dredge and suicide zoo were already good matchups for Bogles, so those being played less doesn't necessarily help us. On the next level, if the amount of Chalice of the Void/Spellskite (vs suicide zoo) and Rest in Peace (vs Dredge) in the meta gets lower, that could be good or bad depending on what people use instead. In general though, it will never ever be "Bogle's time to shine" because the deck is so easy to hate out using cards like Chalice, Spellskite, EE, or even more extreme stuff like Back to Nature/Fracturing Gust.
Renegade Rallier is somewhat interesting, but in the end I think the body itself is too insignificant for the card to be worth it. For 3 mana you're probably better off casting Unflinching Courage most of the time. You're not always going to have something worthwhile to bring back, and the condition won't always be satisfied.

and no, it did not go well. Won't ever do that again, Hah
Please tell us what happened and why. Although I believe that GW is the best, I was going to give some other "versions" a spin after the next big tournament for myself.

Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build)(dead format for me)I found that having to add 4 Battle Rage, kind of diluted the deck a wee bit much.

Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build)(dead format for me)Re: round five. People stack decks all the time. If you're afraid of this player because he ALWAYS draws insanely well... There may be a reason. Always shuffle the opponents deck in competitive play. If they take issue, call the judge.
Well... Salty.

Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build)(dead format for me)Round 1 vs.

Round 1 Naya Eldrazi Displacer 2-0 Win

Yeah... but he is legendary... Spiritdancer make a big tank... both are vulnerable to almost all removal.
My vote goes to spiritdancer

I am more interested in this Heroic Intervention
Well, dredge and suicide zoo were already good matchups for Bogles, so those being played less doesn't necessarily help us. On the next level, if the amount of Chalice of the Void/Spellskite (vs suicide zoo) and Rest in Peace (vs Dredge) in the meta gets lower, that could be good or bad depending on what people use instead.
