Sideboards:
1 Bojuka Bog
1 Ghost Quarter
1 Vengefull Pharao
1 Gnaw to the Bone
2 Lightning Axe
2 Abrupt Decay
2 Darkblast
2 Ancient Grudge
3 Thoughseize
I play 20 lands if you count the 2 Dakmore. I'm thinking of switching the steam vents for an other blood crypt and on the sideboard I want to take out the 2 lands and try out the golgary charm.
Taking dredge to a high level event is always asking "is grave hate at a low". That part I cant really tell if it is, thats just not my forte.
But lookung at the most recent modern event, it had no dredge, 2 affinity, and an average of 3 grave hate cards in sides. When dredge is at its.most hated, that average is 5. 1 to 2 is the low point where we shine again. So it seems "ok or average" to bring dredge.
I would note affinity is on the high right now, and the more.people board to hate affinity, the less they board vs us

Yeah i think in this line too, GRIXIS is shadowned because a lot grave hate types in all decks and affinity get making a huge results but i have a liitle fear about this, in past week i play 2 small events (20 people) and get 4 matches with graf, relic and RIP for skill or lucky i guess i made a top 8 and lost at semis against ABZAN DS.
Took down a 45 man tounrament yesterday, going 9-0-1 (draw being intentional). After almost giving up on the deck, because of how badly it was performing, i came back to the primere here (to look at the lists), only to realized i was playing fewer dredgers than needed (gotta have around 900 games with this deck, should have noticed before :/). All in all, still solid deck, sad i misjudged it . Keep it up guys!

It happens. The more you play, sometimes you gotta refresh on the basics of what makes the deck good due to overthinking and squeezing in too much.
So its fun. But its really really slow. Like legacy. But unlike legacy, blue counters arent the best here. it also dies hard to any grave hate, and I never feel in control.
Overall Id say its alot worse. But there could be something there if there was more ways to sac from the yard. that element is easily missing.
oh jeez. How awesome is this?! Been wanting to build bridge versions with tymaret, the murder king, and things like Akuta, born of ash for a while. I think endless obedience is a great card. Closest thing to dread return there is. I hope this gets somewhere, although it´s probably too broken for modern if it ever became good enough
Yesh I am very interested in hearing how 19 lands play out. I tested with it but it felt like I was picking up to many 1 land openers.
Also how do you feel about taking damage from your Mana Confluence?
Dredge does not really hurts itself a ot so I think it is not that big of a problem.
Yes, I assuming it plays just like the legacy version - like you said, always on draw
If your opponent choose to start on the draw you have a dead turn
Shriekhorns are, i feel, just better than the neonates. Might be wrong to play them, but i like the added benefit of being able to flip amoebas mid combat, mill additional prized amalgams after certain triggers or surprise mill my opponent after they serum visions or scry with a mulligan. it "feels" a bit more explosive than neonate. Against a deaths shadow opponent who cast Kozilek's Return, i was able to mill 2 amoebas after putting them both on top of my library with 2 thugs who had died, so as to block the death shadow, which was nice.
19 lands is ok i feel, haven´t had any issues, as long as you can hit 2 lands. This deck NEEDS minimum of 2 lands to play, 1 of which has to be able to produce green, for loam, which is absolutely essential for the deck to work as you might know. You can keep 1 mountain + looting, for this reason. I have mulled to 5, 4 multiple times, (and even 3 once) and have won easily following that rule.
On confluence. Could be gemstone mine? It´s really up to you, i would have played blackcleave cliffs maybe, if i had any. Life loss to confluence are only REALLY relevant against burn (for which i should have more collective brutality in the sideboard). It´s just an additional source of green for early game, you don´t use it later on that much.

How is Driven/Dispair working for you?
I still have to get some of them later this week.
I play the same lands in my sideboard and they have been doing good work when I needed them but Golgari Charm looks interesting.
Modern - Burn
EDH - Neheb the Eternal
I say go but of course I love playing Dredge so I would always take it.

I thought it very interesting! playing Endless One , Walking Ballista for 0 and Ornithopter we can trigger Vengevine which triggers Prized Amalgam and that would give a lot to sacrifice to Bridge from Below on grave...
I'm thinking if it's fast/consistent enough to work well on modern
If anyone already tried it or watched it working let me know

Seems completely reliant on being on the draw and discarding, no? What if your opponent takes the draw - are you just screwed?
Interesting. How do you like the Shriekhorns? Also: only 19 lands?
Also how do you feel about taking damage from your Mana Confluence?

Does the dredge keyword outweigh the downside of entering the battlefield tapped?
