Thanks. I think there is room for Ulamog/Ugin lists and Stevens-like lists then. Shows the resiliency and flexibility of our deck.

Warmachineprime, good to see you still on here! I fondly remember brewing and playing this deck during eldrazi winter and you were a large part of that! Cheers to a badass deck being built organically by the community.
I've been back on the deck recently and been loving it. GR Valakut is rather troubling and UW Control (land destruction heavy variants) are tough also. What have you, or anyone else, been doing in these matchups? I'm curious to see plans vs G/x Tron also. None of these feel unwinnable, i really just want information on maybeboard cards that arent in the stock list and sideboarding advice. There has been an influx of titanshift at my local shop lately and I can't let it go unchecked!
Much love to team tentacles!

Was interesting to hear he used Ulamog because he didn't want to pay for the 2nd Karn. Deck really feels like it needs 2x mindstones.
Haha, a few days ago I saw a weird deck using Eldrazi Mimics, tried it, hated it. Was hoping to see more turn 1 mimics into turn 2 Reshapers, but it didn't happen much.

I also don't think Mimic is good enough in this deck. The other cards are just better.

Welcome back and glad you are enjoying it. The deck has changed quite a bit over its run. And I would think that if some decent artifacts come out in the future will continue to do so.

Mimic was great back when Eye of Ugin was legal. After that, it really doesn't have a place right now unless you want to rework the creatures and manabase to make it decent. I found that you had to run the ramp package of 4 Simian Spirit Guide and 3 Gemstone Caverns so you could drop Mimics turn 1 and TKS or Smashers Turn 2 with greater regularity. Reshapers got dropped in that list too and Karn as well(as he doesn't trigger Mimic). Its doable but not as good or consistent as the current configurations out there. Plus with one toughness, Mimic is far more vulnerable to removal than larger Eldrazi. If EoU ever comes back though, watch out.

I actually don't ever use Ulamog in my LGS (well, one of the two where I play), which is all combo and fast aggro. I'm playing tonight, have the deck tuned for it, including a main deck Hangarback.
FWIW, I went 2-1, won a couple packs. Lost to Burn 0-2. I thought I had game 2, swinging with Batterskull... then he Skullcracks me and then topdecks Lightning Helix with me at 3. Actually, he was in topdeck mode both games and won with Helix both times. Sometimes you're the hammer, sometimes you're the nail.
I play an eldrazi tron build without any of the Eldrazi Titans and i do really consider running either a one of Ulamog, The Chaseless Hunger or Emrakul, The Promised end. But i am unsure what might be the better option and fyi. If i go for one of them i`ll cut an Endbringer for one of them
And i have also considered a single Ugin in the sideboard against tribal decks mainly. But the reason why i have not done this is because adding a 10 drop and an 8 drop i feel wil make the deck less consistent because i am more making the deck need a Turn 3 hand way more important due to a higher curve
Mimic in my opinion is the strongest card behind TKS. because with Eye of Ugin it in alot games is just a free Reality Smasher, but it has no Place in Eldrazi Tron since the deck does not have the speed due to having lost Eye of Ugin to abuse Eldrazi Mimic`s power
This is what I'm planning on playing tomorrow at GP Birmingham. What do you think? http://imgur.com/a/QKC7q
I'm playing maindeck Wail because of GR Valakut and because of small creature decks in general. Should also help in the Affinity matchup
Ulamog says he wants into that 75 instead of the stack to the side. I'd listen to him, he's pretty big and if you don't I think he could probably smash your car and house and make life pretty miserable for you. He says take out the extra Wurmcoil and pop him into the SB and he won't have to do any of those things and may even bring you an ice cream cone.

Looks like Musser is in the Final 8 with EldraziTron at Richmond SCG today.
Not sure of his list yet. Hopefully it will be posted up soon. Looks like Stevens made 21st but not enough points/wins for the final 8. Not sure what he was running today.

How is the Gx Tron matchup? Do you leave chalice in?
Can't be much worse than 55/45 in their favor, especially if you've got 2 surgicals in the side. They will win slightly more often because their bombs are bigger and they get their mana more consistently, but we can go under them the same as against Valakut with TKS and/or smasher, and chalice on one is huge to shut off their engine, so keep chalices in. Hopefully lead with your own Expedition Map on T1 so you can chalice for X=1 on T2.
Consensus seems to be Gx Tron is bad for us but I have a winning record against it. It is quite awkward though. Chalice on 1 shuts off tons of their deck, but there are a lot of scenarios where it does nothing as well, like if they get a Map down first, or by casting Sylvan Scrying, or by blowing it up with Ostone. The other awkward thing is we want Pithing Needles and Surgicals post-board too, which are 1-drops that get countered by Chalice. Overall though it hurts them more than us so it's still good. Beyond that we're just trying to kill them as fast as possible. TKS + Smasher. Obviously landing Karn (before they do) is basically the best thing we can do.
On that note, Dan Musser had 3 Karns in his SGC top 8 list this week. That's in addition to the MD Wurmcoil and Ulamog he won the last tournament with. 0 Mind Stones. That is a lot of beef. It seems crazy to be relying on getting Tron that much. I assume he was expecting a lot of mirrors with all those fatties, plus the MD Collar.

My son plays a budget mono-green Tron, and I have trouble beating him, but I don't use Chalices since it's friendly and Chalice is a rude card.
Do you ever mull to 6 for a chance at Chalice in this matchup?
Tutoring for GQ is key. They have so many ways to get Tron that it can be hard to keep them off it without GQ + Surgical Extraction. If Gx Tron became more popular, that would be a good argument for running a couple Surgicals and maybe a 2nd Needle too.
Also, game 1 we have some dead cards like All is Dust and Dismember. And game 2 they get artifact hate. It's a tough matchup but very winnable.
Yeah, obviously destroying their lands while applying pressure is the other key thing I didn't mention. Hitting a Tron piece with Surgical is nice, but it's not a slam dunk either, because it sets us back a land and a card, and they will inevitably just get to 6 and 7 lands naturally and play Coil and Karn anyway. Also Thragtusks on 5. So applying pressure is really key.

I absolutely hated his list, it's so freaking slow and clunky, you may as well be playing BG Tron at this point.
other lists did fine playing mindstone decks. Musser hit top 8, but overall E-Tron was not a good choice this weekend. E-Tron is still a great deck, I think perhaps it may need to wait for Affinity or Scapeshift to be on a downswing though

That is the tradeoff for more power in the deck. Its a BIG jump from his list to BX Tron. Play what you want and what fits your style. But just like Stevens you can't argue results and Musser has put up back to back 1st and 8th place results. Modern is in a fairly decent place right now, you can't win every time out it appears. We are in a good position in the meta still although more Affinity could keep us in check as you say.

Okey what do you People think about running a Sword of Feast and Famine in Eldrazi Tron lists? After all we want to abuse our lands as much as possible. Just Depends on if it is better then Batterskull or Basilisk Collar

I think Chalice tips the scales slightly in our favor. Slightly. Looking at this Jim Davis list from this weekend, Chalice on 1 shuts off a whopping 22 spells:
