I personally would take out the 3rd Life from the loam to put in the 4th Confidant.
I would also encourage you to give my your Tarmogoyfs.
I just realized I only have 3 confidants so maybe I'll just buy another to complete the set.
I thought about that, but then we would only have 3 dredge enablers (2 loam and 1 darkblast) which sounds pretty light to get the engine going.
With 4 knight of the reliquary I guess I can run a bunch of singleton utility lands, something like 1 horizon canopy, 1 bojuka bog, 1 tec edge, 1 ghost quarter, 1 township and 1 vault to go along with 8 fetches, 5 shocks and 4 basics.
As for sideboard, was thinking about 2 baloth, 1 thrun, some extra discard like 1 crime and 1 thoughtseize, moving a singleton pulse into the main and putting an extra abrupt decay in the side or w/e, golgari charm, disfigures, EE, a couple smiters, a fracturing gust and a creeping corrosion? Something along those lines.
Once I get the deck finalized, I'll order what I'm missing (seems to be a few lands, the 4 lotv and a confidant)
Now only if wizards would reprint cycle lands for modern!
I have decided to go ahead and put what I've got done up in OP for the new primer as opposed to having people look it over on my blog. I will continue to update it in the OP from now on. It is currently only about 30% complete.
Bojuka bog is good and all, but I wouldn't run it mainboard unless you actually see a lot of graveyard decks in your meta. Even against decks that it can hurt real bad, it can be an awful card. Against decks that don't care about their graveyard, it's basically the worst swamp ever. You don't want that kind of weakness in your main deck. That said, I'd recommend putting it in the board. I know boarding lands is really odd to a lot of people, but it's usually for the better when it has the potential to ruin a game by being a swamp that ETB's tapped.
I'm finding that one of the biggest problems I face with this deck is its lack of reach. To win, you basically have total reliance on getting points of damage in via creatures and the modern format has a number of answers to face that. UWR has a myriad of burn, counter, and similar white removal. Other BGx decks have the basic same package we do, aka tons of removal. Not to mention chumping or trading one for one which really doesn't help (which is why apart from Smiter making sure he gets on the field he really isn't impressive 50% of the time). Etc. As far as the top tier decks are concerned, I constantly find myself not able to get in the last crucial points of damage necessary to seal the game. Treetop Village is probably in my opinion the best resource we currently have to combat this due to trample, but that's pretty lackluster. Any thoughts? I realize the most obvious answer is "well ok then add red and bolt away and go post in the Jund thread" which I have considered but I wanted to hear any other opinions because Junk is still my favorite deck. My deck runs the basic Junk archetype, minus Goyf which admittedly could be one problem.
I don't feel that the deck has a lack of reach. Like you Junk is my favorite deck. Care to share your list?
Knight and life from the loam go into Junk easily enough.
Haakon, Stromgald Scourge, and the two combos with him, don't give you enough benefit for their cost. You're vastly increasing the average mana cost of the deck, or replacing things in the deck that are better for it than those cards.
I've seen haakon used in Knights tribal decks, but I don't think he fits in the Junk shell.

I agree with you that a lack of Tarmogoyf doesn't help. I see that you are running only one Tectonic Edge. I personally run three and love them. I would pick up a fourth Liliana of the Veil if possible. Here is my current lisT:
For me my MVP is usually Knight. I might be biased as it's my favorite card but it has always performed well for me. Fetching a vault with Tarmo beating down feels great and puts you back into the game. If I didn't have Tarmo I would run Doran, the Siege Tower. I would try him in your list. Shuts down Cranial Plating, essentially a 5/5 for three, out of bolt range, and a beat stick.

Yea, but even still Tarmogoyf can't get through unless he has an opening so essentially he runs into the same problem. Undoubtedly the best green creature you can ask for, but yea can't afford him. I was running 2x TecEdge but I am wary of running that many or more alongside Vault and Township. For this deck I don't feel comfortable with many more than 4-5 lands that either enter the battlefield tapped (i.e. Treetop Village and Stirring Wildwood) or run colorless mana. I agree a fourth Lilly would be good eventually.

Knight is underrated in modern because of the Ooze/DRS concern but she has definitely been the determining factor in more than a couple games for me. Plus Souls + Vault/Township is great. I tried Doran for a while and he is hilarious against Affinity but I never grew as fond of him as I'd hoped. He doesn't interact well with half the deck and doesn't give me control over his affect which sometimes benefits my opponent. Usually cards I don't have control over are a no go for me personally. If he wasn't legendary I would consider using him again.
I like your list. I dropped how many shocks I was running to pick up more basics. Life-loss is a concern of mine and I have run into Blood Moon too many times. How comfortable are you with that as well as running double Maelstrom Pulse?

I rarely lose too much life with my lands. I fetch basics when I have to and vice versa. Six shocks work for me. Pulse as a two of has worked well for me as well. Although slow it’s a great catch all to have. I have thought about running it as a one of but so far two have been good.
I really want to test Voice, but I refuse to pay the ~$30 price tag associated with it right now. Once RtR rotates I might look into picking up a few. Unfortunately he's still not as good as Goyf, but he has some nice synergy with Souls and forces opponents like UWR to check playing spells on your turn. After testing him I've found that he is good, but he is underwhelming most of the time and you almost never get more than the one token from Voice's death. That being said, he's still probably going to be what I look into to sub Goyf.
Voice is good against some decks, mainly UWR, but yeah, not worth the money as of now. If UWR, or another similar deck becomes hugely popular, I'll look into it, but in the meantime, not worth the price.
It's not bad as a budget alternative to Goyf. It lowers the deck's reliance on the graveyard, which is not a bad thing, and it can definitely pay off in my experience.

Playing modern: all BGx, storm, burn, green eldrazi, dredge.
I might face: U tron, goblins, merfolk w/u combo, merfolk, affinity, w/g hatebears, kiki pod, b/w token, bant hexproof, american control and jund.
I went 2-1 last time with my hand distruption heavy package. Lets see how it goes this time with 4 voice of resurgence and 3scavenging ooze instead of 3 loxodon smiter and 4 scavenging ooze. I really like my deck this way, but I'm still not sure on the mana base. Any change I should do to balance it? I still have a vault of the archangel and one gavony township I could include in my list.
Also, what do you guys think of my sideboard? So far its serving me well, but I might have forgoten a key card.
