Right, now that I've shaken off the coil of education and am part of the army of unemployed, I've got the time to start revamping this forum a bit. I am looking to the posters for their opinions on how we should go about revamping this forum. Here are a couple of options I've brainstormed/borrowed.
I: Another Subforum A la Casual, the Primer threads would be shuttled into a subforum of Pauper for easy access. Primer threads would only be issued to competitive Pauper decks (see Decks of the Week, Pauper Daily Events) or archetypes that are consistently popular.
Pros: Easy to navigate all the really competitive options. Doesn't clog the main area.
Cons: I have to ask the administration to put out another subforum, which may take time.
II: Main Area Sticky The alternative would be to simply sticky the competitive threads in the main area and have all the other posts come after it. While I'm not entirely against that, we've had this problem in the past (with Casual) where the forum received constant activity and the stickies would simply clog the first half of page one, leaving new threads constantly dumped to pages two and three.
Pros: Little work necessary.
Cons: Cluttering the main area to hell and back.
IIA: Singular Sticky As a modification of the second idea, I could simply make one stickied thread with links to all the competitive threads (would be updated if new archetypes gained popularity/relevance). The threads would remain in the main area unstickied, and people could find the one they wanted by simply accessing an index of Pauper threads.
Pros: Little work necessary, everything in one place.
Cons: The actual threads don't stay in a clear place, leaving a lot of room for people to make threads on "where's [archetype X]?" or ignore the singular sticky thread entirely.
III: Suggest! I'm all ears to other ideas you guys might have.

Plan I followed through. NOTE:Do not post in the Primers subforum unless given permission. Posts will be deleted and infracted.
I choose you "Another Sub-forum". As for suggestions go I would like this moved back over to MTGO section or a copy of it with new modifications. Pauper events or much of anything pauper doesn't really exist outside of the kitchen table if it happens at all unlike MTGO. Different ban and restricted list for classic and different events. I don't think it would matter a whole lot here but, I would like it have it more broken down and better looking with the different formats and deck Tiers sub-forums like you have now for Standard instead of lists threads everywhere that you have to did through.

I am against it. I stumbled upon pauper with the forum revamp that put you where casual was before. I really like it. Gives fun decks that can be used casually and still win often. I just tend to take the decklists and see what rares would add. You get really awesome decks. I never venture in MTGO though.
Right. Hannes has provided us with the Primers subforum now. Before I start shuttling threads here and there, I want to get a feel for the generally accepted top-tier archetypes.
Twiddle/Familiar Storm
Mono-Red Burn
White Weenie
Mono-Blue Control
Blue-Red 8-Post Control
Mono-Red Goblins
Mono-Green Land Destruction
Mono-Green Beatdown
Mono-Black Discard
Green-White Beats
WarrenStorm (Invasion sac-lands) and variants (Mono-Red and Blue-Red)
Affinity
If I've missed anything, please post away. I would like some Community input with regards to the creation of Primer threads for said archetypes. I should have time to field the Mono-Red Burn one, but I would like others to also chip in their two cents and the like.
I think you've got pretty much all the tier 1-1.5 decks there. My only suggestion is that mono-red and the other inferior storm decks should be separate from TPPS (the classic ritual storm deck), particularly the mono-red as that one has a weird Kiln Fiend dimension.
That said, I'd be glad to help out with any of these threads. I tend to monitor all the top decks at the daily events from day to day, and I think it would be fun to compile some of that information. I have play experience with UR Post (though I hate it), mono-black control, burn, goblins, and blue control.
I have no problem splitting the normal Warrenstorm thread from the Mono-Red/Blue-Red variant.
Anyone who wishes to volunteer to put together a Primer thread, please PM me when you have a sample ready (you may use Testing Grounds to test/view the thread) and I'll review it when I get a chance. If it's clear, we'll have it posted in the Primers subforum.
I plan to do the Mono-Red Burn list when I can, because I'll be out this weekend in Rhode Island and have less access to Salvation than normal.
EDIT: Due to Pauper Dailies paying out poorly, I'll be a bit off from Pauper. Probably wait until M12 comes out and value is there again. T_T
Sweet. If I ever got off my ass and finished that Affinity Primer, we'd have a decent array. We still need Infect, Storm, Affinity (which I'm working on, maybe 35% done), Goblins, Delver, and White Weenie to have a complete picture of the tier 1.
Hey guys, I just saw this Sticky after posting on the forums for quite a while. I'll admit my stupidity at not seeing the thread until today. I happened to post a White Weenie Primer without asking for permission. I did not intend to upset anyone or break the rules in any capacity. I simply wanted to help people out by providing information on the deck, and hopefully open up some discussion. If it's alright with everyone, I'd like to humbly ask for the thread to be left open, since I did put time and effort into making sure the information was solid. Thanks for your consideration.

It's fine. I really prefer if a draft is privately messaged to me first, so I can green-light it, but the thread looks well-formatted and properly tagged, so it's good.
If others wish to volunteer to put up other primers, feel free to message me once those drafts are ready (you can use Testing Grounds, I believe, as long as you watch out for the monthly purge).
if the original question is still valid... Why arent there seperate pauper areas under the other sub-forums.
Pauper is played under lots of different guises...
Different sub forums are needed for pauper standard, pauper modern, pauper classic, etc. Makes sense to me that these would be in their respective sub forums already (aka under standard, but seperate from budget.) However if the main pauper area is to be maintained, then it still needs sub divisions.
This would also provide areas for a combined pauper (commons only) and peasant (commons + 5 uncommons) which would be more organized.

There are only 2 seasons each year... summer and hockey, and summer lasts too long.
This subforum is about Modo Pauper (Classic Pauper), which is the only sanctioned format type of Pauper. It consists of all cards released as commons in MTGO, minus Cranial Plating and Frantic Search. Pauper Modern, Peasant, etcetera are effectively casual formats.

On average, Magic players are worse at new card evaluation than almost every other skill, except perhaps sideboarding.
Yes, i understand what this forum currently is, but the question was about forum reorganization.
Im pretty sure PDC holds SPDC tournaments on MTGO, and many local game shops hold competitive tournaments for prizes as well.
A subforum for discussion about this tournament meta and decks is needed.
This is neither casual, nor budget. Whether that subforum is to be under this forum called pauper, or a new subforum is created in standard, under budget, a dedicated area is needed.
can i ask why boros is in primer??? if u look at any tournaments in 2012 there's no boros deck... no one... and why instead mono green (infect o stompy is the same) that many times wins tournaments is not in primer ??? also i believe we should make 2 storm topic one for WUB storm with familiars and the other one for depletion storm with masques lands.
Regarding why some popular archetypes aren't in Primers, I think it's just that they haven't been written yet? Primers require some effort to provide in-depth and concise information about these archetypes, and no one has gotten around to providing them for some of the more popular archetypes, including Goblins and Infect, and even Green Stompy could be there.
Someone step up to the plate!
EDIT: Adding smilies to display the good nature of the statement.
