Hey guys and gals, the Standard Forum is looking to feature your brews to show the world what awesome deck brewers you are.
When a brew gets featured, it gets stickied at the top of the forum. This ensures that everyone can see the brew when they first visit SDC and so that the brew doesn't get lost in the mass of threads that is "Standard Deck Creation". With greater visibility, the featured brew will get more people working on the ideas and hopefully progress the list over the month the brew is stickied.
How do I get a thread featured?
Leave a post underneath the OP with a link to the deck primer/thread, the month you're applying for, and the reason why the deck should be featured that month. The thread must be submitted 72 hours before the start of the month or there is a chance that we won't see it. The standard mods will then take a look and make a decision for the respective months. We'll then add "Featured Thread Month/Year:" to the thread title and pin it for the month.
Can I nominate a thread that I didn't start?
Yes. We'd appreciate anyone submitting decks for featuring. Just make sure you follow the above instructions.
Can I submit an established or proven deck?
You can, but it is unlikely that the deck will be featured since it 1. isn't a brew and 2. is already highly visible.
If my brew didn't get featured the first time I applied, can I apply again?
Yes and we'd love it if you do. It shows that you care about your work and want progress your ideas rather than just spew and leave.
Why can't this just be a user vote every month?
This isn't a popularity contest.
What are the criteria for Featured Thread of the Month?
We're looking for creativity, well-thought-out primers, an ability to use decktags, a dedication to working on the deck throughout a period of time, and user interest. We'll also probably use the occasional theme (seasonal themes, WotC event themes, etc.) when selecting the Thread of the Month.
I still have no idea what's going on.
You should message one of the standard mods.
For March 2015, the featured thread is: Mono-Black Control. Thanks for the awesome work, MrRotten!
For April 2015, the featured thread is: Jund Midrange. Thanks for the awesome work, Tiemuuu! The primer looks great.
For May 2015, the featured thread is: Orzhov Control. The deck looks cool!
For June 2015, the featured thread is : Orzhov Warriors. The deck's aggressive and has been winning at the fringes for awhile.
For July 2015, the featured thread is: Mono-White Soldiers. The deck is super explosive and generates a ton of 1/1s (that suddenly get pumped via Obelisks).
For August 2015, the featured thread is: Grixis Delve. The deck is unique and really utilizes some of the coolest cards from Magic: Origins and the KTK-FRF-DTK block.
For September 2015, the featured thread is: GW Hardened Scales. It's had some tournament success recently so watch out!
For October 2015, the featured thread is: S.O.S.(Scions of Sultai)
Is it any good? You'll have to play some standard to find out. It's got some sweet interactions!
For December 2015, the featured thread is Borgari, the 4 color midrange deck.
For January 2016, the featured thread is Vampire and Ally Tribal. The primer looks snazzy and the synergy is real!
For February 2016, the featured thread is Mardu Planeswalker. Looks great and the deck utilizes some of the new cards from Oath.
For March 2016, the featured thread is Esper Midrange. The primer is an example of great formatting that other primers should aspire to. Also, the deck is sweet and plays new eldrazi.
For April 2016, the featured thread is UR Visions. It's a sick new SOI brew. Check it out!
For May 2016, the featured thread is RW Madrange. Sweet stuff for a developing format!
For June 2016, the featured thread is WG Enchants. Blow your slow control meta out with these hard to kill threats.
For August 2016, the featured thread is R/x Aggro. This is not your father's Red deck. An attractive and comprehensive primer offers an updated range of ways to passionately kill your opponent.
For September 2016, the featured thread is Geralf's Zombies. Flavorful (like brains) and competitive (like people trying to survive a zombie apocalypse), this deck is a doozy.
For October 2016, the featured thread is a GW Angel Toolbox deck. Check out all the cool things Angels can do when they're not getting bounced by Reflector Mage!
No featured deck for November but December 2016, the featured thread is UG Splendid Reclamation!
Anyway, get out and start brewing! Don't forget to leave a post underneath the OP with a link to the deck primer/thread, the month you're applying for, and the reason why the deck should be featured that month.
This deck should be the featured for the month of April. It is a deck that we as a community has been working hard on since January (in this thread) and multiple sub-threads have popped up. A sticky would help us further collaborate on it. We have had many reports of play testing and results from FNM, and have been eagerly waiting for DTK.
Although there hasn't been a lot of community involvement yet, as this deck is very new, I believe there is a great interest in the userbase for this strategy since many people are familiar with Jund from different eras of magic. I believe pinning my Primer would be a great way to cultivate interest and discussion on this archetype that tends to pop up from time to time during standard seasons. I also think the Primer's pretty good for all its purposes too, so there's that.
Hi there. I just finshed a thread, like, 5 minutes ago. You should make it the thread of the month for May because reasons. Also because it was interesting enough to get a Daily Digest article on Starcitygames. Also because BW control isn't an archetype that's really been explored at all, and getting people to shake up the metagame is fun and exciting.
The deck is super original, and so fun everyone should play it or at least enjoy their giggles looking at the decklist. The deck is also quite competitive and I'm jamming more magic than in a long while in order to tune and improve this deck. The primer is also golden standard in terms of layout.
Nominating Mardu Planeswalkers for 2/16.
Testing has provided much better initial results than I'd expected and I feel like with more people testing, tweaking, and taking to tournaments it has potential to make established, or even proven status.
Nominating <>B (now <>BW) Eldrazi for 3/16.
It's got the potential to either go beat face aggro or (as my version is) more of a midrange disruption deck. Overall it's bee a fun deck to play and it's sticking around for awhile
I would like to toss my Eldrazi Midrange out there for consideration. I have been unable to get things up to date this month since I have been plagued by illness, but I am feeling better and am eager to get back to it. It has been doing super well with multiple test groups we have running it at a casual level and decent at the IQ circuit.
I see there isnt one for April yet, so I'd like my Ur Fevered Visions deck to be considered please. Its definitely a super new deck and because of that needs a lot of testing and help. I have a primer for it already, and there are a few people that are helping and we are pretty active in posting updates. The biggest two things it needs are further testing, and an effective way to beat GR Eldrazi Ramp, however every other deck is pretty beatable. These two things are something that being Deck of the Month would help a ton with as it greatly increases visibility.
I would like to nominate my GWB Cryptolith Combo Primer for May, in order to help it get as much polishing and playtesting as possible from groupthink.
For the next Featured Deck, I'd like to see Geralf's Zombies. I think the decks in that thread are some really cool brews and interesting takes on how to use the cards, and the cards themselves are just plain interesting. Plus it'll be nice to see some decks that aren't white, green or white/green.
I'd like to submit the mono-red aggro thread. Arguably the most talked about deck in the standard forum (we are nearly reaching 1000 posts!), and sneaking in some good wins and placings at major tournaments.
I would like to feature grixis control since i did not found any post about it particulary and was a protour winner recently, i think it needs some discussing. Grixis Control
I would like to submit my deck : Boros Human Burn (follow the link in my signature). I brewed it myself, and it has so far produced excellent results (updated as soon as they are available).

I am nominating Orzhov Warriors
The link for this primer is [Primer]Orzhov Warriors.

My brew is mono white soldiers. It started as a cheap deck to have fun with on MTGO, but I've refined the list to where it is actually solidly competitive.
It should be nominated because in this standard filled with siege rhino and fetchlands its nice to see something fresh and unique.
The deck is super original, and so fun everyone should play it or at least enjoy their giggles looking at the decklist. The deck is also quite competitive and I'm jamming more magic than in a long while in order to tune and improve this deck. The primer is also golden standard in terms of layout.

Last call for the September thread of the month. We'd love to hear nominations.
Right now, I'm looking a couple threads. Mention yours to get stickied!
