A new deck is in town, storming the online leagues! A key idea is to stick Oketra's Monument, and then cast 3 creatures for 3 mana generating 3 tokens in addition. But there's a lot more to it than that!
In all it's a midrange deck that clogs up the ground, swings in the air, removes problem cards, and generates a ton of card draw to keep going.
Key Cards Oketra's Monument - card is amazing in this deck. It never got to shine before because this deck couldn't deal with Cat combo or Marvel. But with those gone, this option is back. It enables a go wide fast game plan, which against control overwhelms their removal, and against aggro/midrange just chumpblocks them cold until you take over.
Dusk // Dawn - almost all your stuff lives and can be returned to hand lategame. Most other decks are weak to this card. Hanweir Military Captain - either a simple bear, or a deadly 4+/4+ that generates a token every turn. Aviary Mechanic - Now THIS is fun. If you're out of lands, you can cast it, replay a land for an extra cast. Or you can bounce an inspector for an extra clue, a random dude for an extra Monument token or Bishop clue, or even an Avacyn (flipped or not) for another round of indestructibility. If you have 2 of these and a monument, you have an engine of W: make a warrior. Metallic Rebuke - between Monument and Clues, this is a great imitation Mana Leak which is better than most counters out there.
The Flying contingent These are how you get damage in against aggro/midrange decks, but they are also each have tremendous value for the deck. Bygone Bishop - standard's most overlooked clue generator. Of course it's much better when you can spam creatures with monument. You can get so many cards off of this, it's nutty. Selfless Spirit - When you clog the board, you want to keep your guys from being swept away. Spell Queller - Selfless's Buddy, great tempo play. Cloud Blazer - Draw 2, gain 2, repeat with Dawn. Card is valued because the deck REALLY likes finding all the key cards (Monument, Dusk, Abbey, counterspells, removal at the right time) and more creatures when it has monument.
It's unbeatable when it does this. Archangel Avacyn - The best angel. Can sweep the chaff, or rescue your stuff. Castable at times for 2WW. Westvale Abbey - a key method of victory. You are highly likely to get enough creatures.
Is this deck mana hungry? I'm asking because Cryptolith Rite seems almost perfect here as a way take advantage of the warrior token's vigilance and use them to tap for mana at the end of your opponent's turn and draw a lot off of your clues. It could also allow the deck to tap and sacrifice a bunch of creatures to westvale abbey while keeping most of your lands open, as well as allow you to tap out your lands to empty your hand and then leave enough creatures without summoning sickness untapped to flash in Avacyn if you need to protect your board.
I don't know what I'd take out to make room, because the deck needs a critical mass of creatures to be effective. Maybe test out two copies of Rite and remove a Dusk//Dawn and an Avacyn (assuming that you're willing to try a green splash in the first place).
There's not a lot of heavy mana requirements, and the thing is: If you have Monument, everything is real cheap and you get lots of tokens but don't need Rite. If you don't have monument, you won't have an excess of tokens to tap for rites. There is certainly room for splashing a color in the deck, just so you make sure every land is also white, because once the Monument comes down, you want to cast 4 creatures for W each, and having forests would wreck that scheme.

I hit some leagues, but I only had one Selfless Spirit. Bit me in the ass not having them.
The first league I went 2-3 and a bit part of that was the sweepers. Sometimes the hands are a bit iffy. One match I lost I kept a hand that looked golden and then drew lands and the other 3 monuments. My fill-in for the missing selfless spirits was Odric, Lunarch Marshal.....and he was pretty good. He make the tokens useful late game.
After seeing how good odric was I changed around some things. The mechanics were kind of iffy, and the glory bound initiates were as well. In their place I added a pair of Oketra the True which was really hard for a lot of decks to deal with. I figured as long as I was at it with Odric and Oketra, I might as well go deep and put in a pair of Thalia's Lancers and Gisela + Bruna. I also put a Skysoverein in the deck but it kept being stolen and used against me so I took it out.
Not that it's optimized, but the list I am on currently looks like........
The spiciest thing in there is Wall of Resurgence + Cascading Cataracts. It counts as two creatures for Oketra and captain AND has indestructible and haste which Odric likes. Many of my opponents got blown out because they wasted removal which didn't work, or expected a sweeper to take care of it. It and the wall it came with were blocking menace creatures, shrugging off energy creatures...it was solid.
Another version I've been messing around with today is kind of mono white aristocrats.
Went up to 24 lands and the deck was brilliant today with a variant of the original deck. 24 lands is valuable because it gets you to Avacyn, Dusk and Dawn sooner, but also ensures you can capitalize with an early 3/4 land board and have mana to go through all the clues you might make.
3-0 beating RG pummeler, Temur energy and Mardu vehicles. Felt great all the way through, with all variety of draws.

The Wall + Cataracts thing is hilarious. No Aviary Mechanic to target your wall and make the land a 6/6? Are you missing the additional Westvalale Abbeys?

I know the feeling. I was in your same position when I came back April of last year. Hadn't played in nearly 10 yrs and trying to decide what to play while trying to keep a budget. I did ok sticking to a budget, but now i'll have to figure it out again in a couple of months when nearly all of my deck rotates out lol.
That list looks pretty sweet, what's the problem against vehicles? fragmentize and immolating glare seem really good in the MU. Looks like when the monument sticks the deck should be unstoppable. I'm returning to standard and i'll be trying this build.
So far I still believe in the original mono-white scheme. The U splash is attractive but not superior in this metagame, and the way the deck plays out.
Tonight I went:

2-0 vs UW embalm/tokens
1-2 vs URG energy
2-0 vs metalwork colossus
for a 3-1 (7-3 games) net record. And btw, that Temur match was quite winnable, both of my losses were filled with poor decisions on my part and I could have come out on top if I were a better player.

First round BG counters 2-0. Opponent couldn't handle multiple awakened cataracts. Ballista couldn't stop the oketra + cataract beats/blocks. He even tried to kill the first one with fatal push. Dusk/dawn blew him out game 2, killing snek + gearhulk and forcing him to burn counters off of ballista. http://i.imgur.com/VzTiwGf.png
Second round BG counters 1-2. Even though this opponent ALSO cast fatal push on cataracts, tireless tracker + snek + multiple gearhulks spelled my doom. Game three he played 3x snek into double ballista and I got rekt. The first loss dusk/dawn would have saved me but never drew it, last game wouldn't have mattered.
Third round New Perspectives 0-2. I had no disruption for his combo game 1 and he cycled into the win. Game 2 I got him to 4 life but a few fogs later into new perspectives and he cycled into the win. I guess maybe I need Gideon's Intervention in my sideboard or something, all I had to bring in was a pair of cast out and 3x fragmentize...which I just switched over to forsake the worldly. Completely unwinnable game 1 unless I drew the nuts and he tapped out.
Fourth round BW tokens 2-0. Odric made the team fly over his tokens, double striking for the win both games. Game 2 was sort of close because of yahenni but eventually a hasty odric ended the game. Brisela featured in one of the games.
Fifth round grixis graveyard 2-1. Game 1 he got mana screwed for a bit but hung on with elder deep fiends and recursion, brisela ended game 1. Game 2 elder deep fiend + fliers finished me off. Game 3 oketra was an all-star, ignoring removal and sweepers, double striking in for the win.
I had notes but my internet crapped out on me during 4th round. I restarted my computer trying to fix it and didn't save the file.

Match 3. Mono black zombies. 2-1. Game 1 came down to gisela + odric giving all my dudes flying and lifelink. Was a really close match. He would have won game 3 but he was playing really slow and timed out a couple swings from the win. it seems that the deck has legs, and it's not very expensive
it worries me that it will not hold out the next rotation, militia capitan, spell queller and bygone bishop are key cards that will rotate out :/
Round 1. RG energy. 2-0. Round 5 RB madness. 2-0 Game 1 I got some weenies on the table, we trade attacks. I will likely switch out my Forsake the Worldlys in sideboard for Fragmentize I may also consider changing my Declaration in Stones for Stasis Snare. The sorcery speed of dec in stone bit me in the ass multiple times because of vehicles and Ormendahl. Also possible that I should put the skysov back in the deck as a tutor target for lancers.
As often as Odric is THE reason for the win, it may make sense to switch out the weenies for keyword creatures. Like say the mechanics/captains/bygone/inspectors all being switched out for things like Aerial Responder/Ayli/sacred cat/vampire cutthroat/lone rider/gifted aetherborn/solemn recruit/drana.
Is there any reason not to go a more human-centric route? It seems like we could maybe capitalize on the tribal synergies, or go more the flyer route as UW does. As it is, the mono-W version seems like a bit of a hodgepodge with no clear consensus on the best cards.

Planeswalkers: Gideon or Gideon are less than great because no synergy with Monument//Bishop//Captain//Mechanic, but they're still Gideon.
Anointed Procession If you run enough embalm, you can go pretty hardcore with generating tokens. With effort you could make something happen.
Angels: Angel of Invention, Angel of Sanctions for top-end removal.
Tribal: Regal Caracal if you run cats, Thalia's Lieutenant if you run more humans might be good.
Geier Reach Sanitarium - toss extra monuments, lands, Dawn, to get more good stuff.

Round 1. RG energy. 2-0. Opponent gets just short of lethal with electrostatic pummeler, my multiple captains end up flipping and keeping the rest of his dudes at bay until I draw odric which breaks the stalemate on the ground. http://imgur.com/a/d6EId Game 2 pretty much the exact same thing happens but instead of huge cult leaders keeping him at bay it's indestructible blockers, odric shows up and it's over. Round 5 RB madness. 2-0 Game 1 I got some weenies on the table, we trade attacks. I will likely switch out my Forsake the Worldlys in sideboard for Fragmentize I may also consider changing my Declaration in Stones for Stasis Snare. The sorcery speed of dec in stone bit me in the ass multiple times because of vehicles and Ormendahl. Also possible that I should put the skysov back in the deck as a tutor target for lancers.
As often as Odric is THE reason for the win, it may make sense to switch out the weenies for keyword creatures. Like say the mechanics/captains/bygone/inspectors all being switched out for things like Aerial Responder/Ayli/sacred cat/vampire cutthroat/lone rider/gifted aetherborn/solemn recruit/drana.
