Surprised that nobody made a topic for this guy yet. I'm kind of intrigued by this but I'm not sure if I want a flying multicolor swiftspear but it seems fairly priced for that you get and it can block aggressive 2/1's. I definitely think it merits more discussion than Jori-En, Ruin Dilver though.
I guess I can see a certain kind of Izzet aggro-burn deck grudgingly accepting this card, but that's not an archetype that ever gets drafted here, and in no other circumstances can I imagine anyone picking this card. A gold two-drop that sometimes attacks for two? And brings nothing else to the table aside from being an ok blocker of one-drops? Safe, safe pass.
This is definitely the territory I like playing in but it doesn't do enough for me. As someone who drafts u/r regularly I can see myself like Jori-En. Swiftspear is so good because 1 mana is so little. I really need a Kiln Fiend boost or bigger upside with the spell like Pyromancer.
Don't get me wrong, I like it but it but the damage output will be about the same as a Gore House Chainwalker. Encouraging me to block with my haste guy is weird. Make him a 2/1 instead of 1/3 and I would be trying it.
I'm running Turn//Burn as my fifth Izzet Card right now, so I might have test this guy out. It's very well costed, but having a hasty beater with defensive stats does feel kind of weird.
I run swiftspear, am on the fence about it, and I think this card is for me.
Flying is a difference maker here. Also, I tend to prefer my blue 2-drops to have 3 toughness. I do think it's overrated, but I think it's significant and irritating enough against walkers.

I think you said it yourself: it’s a fair card, but typically (I guess depends on your cube) this is a format looking for unfair things. Pass.

Has to compete with Izzet Charm and Fire // Ice, both which I like more. It's not a bad card, I just wish this wasn't a multicolored card.

BUT, I don't think this makes it in normal cube. It's maybe 7th? in the guild?
Either way I like the design.

Here's my cube! Give it a draft!
Reverse stats and it'd be horribly unbalanced.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)
