One of the top things in my cube wishlist is a good Simic Natural Order/Maybe even Tinker-target. It'd make sense to me if Simic got a card that could be hit with all kinds of fatty cheat.
Simic Sky Swallower is a decent Natural Order target, isn't it? At least, it looks capable of winning games pretty quickly on its own. Not an artifact though, unfortunately.
As for Kiora, I wish her starting loyalty was a little higher (with her ult adjusted as necessary) as I think that would've made her a sweet card for 4/5-color, base green control decks. As is, she's simply too easy to kill which makes it really hard to get a return on your four-mana investment.
Tinker is stellar. It's only as good as your collection of mana rocks is, but a lot of cubes have enough support to make it amazing.
I get very into whatever I'm into at the moment, so if I'm bored it's usually because I've worn out whatever I'm doing. For example, I played 30 hours of Stardew Valley in a week once and haven't picked it up since, and that's pretty much how I do everything. The only thing I've never grown bored with is magic, which is the standard fallback if I get really into a game or activity or something.
One interesting dichotomy with tinker is in powered cubes the moxes > tinker (albeit, tinker is still really good). So you are more likely to pick up the mox and pass the tinker, where as in non powered cubes you are more likely to pick tinker and then have to try and pick the rocks up afterwards.
Overall a fun card. not much else to say.
Lately, i have no time to tinker around. But I can't wait for a few days off over thanksgiving
edit: and I am excited the Christmas sharing cards this year
Tinker is such a broken card, and I love it. Just a few days ago me and my brother did sealed out of the cube (it was just us 2) and I immediately went for a simic tinker combo deck to cheat out Blightsteel Colossus. It's one of those cards that is a force multiplier. By itself it doesn't do much, but makes all your good artifacts immensely better.
Tinker is great, turning signets into giant robots always feels good. It's one of those cards that does absolutely nothing on its own or in the wrong deck, but with a bit of support becomes one of the best cards around. It becomes its own little sub theme in a deck, all it asks you to drop in a few more rocks and make your finishers robots.
I do wish we had a really solid non-creature artifact that was worth tinkering as a win-con, my one gripe with tinker is it can lead to fairly similar play patterns, at least with reanimate they have to run a few targets plus ways to get things into the yard where as tinker just needs any old artifact and a big robot in the library.
When I'm bored I tend to grab my guitar and twang away on it. I video game aswell but I have a habit of not finishing games; I will get super into a game, power a ton of hours into it in a week but if life gets in the way and I don't touch it for a while there is a good chance I don't get back to it. It doesn't help my computer is terrible and will randomly decide that games no longer run.
Tinker is sick, but I'll echo groglord and say I wish there were some new target for it, especially a noncreature. Kaladesh really missed the opportunity to give us a pushed huge artifact. Even if it were a creature, that'd be fine. We've all been using Wurmcoil Engine, Myr Battlesphere, Sundering Titan, and Sphinx of the Steel Wind forever. Just something new would be sweet.
I get like 4 hours a day to spend with myself and my wife, and that's usually just not enough, so I don't get bored. Not even during the summer, when I'm not teaching. I'll bike, read, sort through bulk for buylist stuff, walk through the local park, or read.

Faerie Artisans is a pretty cool card but it seems like a big investment for a creature that dies to almost everything. A lot of fun I'm sure but there are just more things I'd rather be doing for 4 mana.
Against creature light decks you wont be getting much value and in the more aggressive matchups it feels like your artisans just eat removal. It gets better in multiplayer I guess, but the chances of someone removing it go up as well.
Music is my medium, I 'm not very constructive with it but I enjoy just playing and have some riffs kicking about.

Maybe the return to Dominaria will bring some Urza-ian artifacts, something part Darksteel Forge half Urza's Factory could be fun.
9 Urza's Foundry
Legendary Artifact
Artifacts you control are Indestructible.
Tap: Create 3 2/2 Assembly-Worker artifact creature tokens.
Its basically strictly better Dark Steel Forge, but it doesn't seem like that card is doing anything crazy (outside of commander) so it could probably be pushed a bit.
You always get at least 3 2/2s (a better deal than some of the other big robots being), all your artifacts are indestructible and it can get out of hand pretty quickly adding 6 power to the board each turn (more if you can untap/blink). It probably needs some fine tuning: maybe artifacts should only be indestructable when the Foundry is untapped or just other artifacts? Maybe it should make more robots? Bigger robots? I like the idea of a factory that just starts dumping out and flood the field with an army of small robots.
Doesn't seem that great. Dies to a lot, easy to not get value out of, and it's a blue 4.
I like to write, a lot. It's why every post I make here is a friggin novel. I've been published a few times for my poetry and prose, which is cool, though I have a million half-finished projects and instead just start new things over and over. But, it's what I enjoy, and I put no pressure on myself regarding my writing so I'm always going at my own speed which I feel is how you get the best work. Once your hobby feels like a job, you risk losing the heart.
My cube is a little more budget and thus a little slower than most, but the Artisans have been pretty good for us so far. Any midrange deck that's trying to win by generating value with creatures must deal with them or else risk getting buried by the value their own creatures are providing their opponent. It can also be a big pain for a reanimator or Tinker deck if it comes down early enough. It's also one of my favorite plays to make right after playing a sweeper.
I feel that the Artisans play in a similar space as Sower of Temptation, and while its worse if your opponent already has enough creatures in play that they don't need to play more into it, it does have the advantage of leaving you with the last creature it made when it dies.
It's OK, but I'd rather burn that also hits players/planeswalkers. There are a lot of decks that would play it, but they would typically prefer just straight up burn most of the time.
I still roll Mortars at 720, but it's not exactly a safe bet. I'm a huge fan of cards with multiple modes. A card that can serve as removal early in the game but a sweeper later is a nice thing to have as an option.
"Mizzium is a durable and fireproof metal employed by the Izzet guild of Ravnica. It is named after their parun Niv-Mizzet."
I had allways assumed it was a faction within tge Izzet.
I liked Morters but Overload didn't get used enough so I kept Flame Slash over it.
Not strictly fireworks, but, when we were in our teens we would occasionally make homemade fireworks/explosives by filling a 500ml bottle with match heads. You get a jet of flame out the top then a loud bang. We had loads of open fields in our are so noone ever called the police. Not so sure we would have gotten away with it now days.
You need a licence for fireworks here, though every Halloween some kids are allways letting them off in the streets or throwing them at people. When I was younger sone wee scrote allways thought he was king dick cause his da's in the UDA and give his a loads of illegal fireworks to terrorize the estate with.
It's probably the burn spell closest to getting cut. It's a decent enough spell, and I love the modality for being a one sided sweeper, but it doesn't often get used that way.
I don't set off fireworks, but I work in the ER, so I get to see plenty of the people who set them off by accident.
When I put Mizzium Mortars in my cube, I expected to see it Overloaded more often then it really was. It was a blowout when it happened, but I'm planning to swap it with Pyroclasm on my next update, to give red decks a sweeper on the lower end of the curve.
The summer before last, I was with some friends setting off some fireworks in an open area, when one off the fireworks that had been lit fell into its side and shot across the ground to explode underneath the truck we had the rest of the fireworks in! Myself and a couple others were in the bed of the truck getting the next ones ready when it happened, and we all jumped out as quickly as possible. Thankfully, no one was hurt and nothing was damaged, but it was definitely a close call.
In the Philippines we have a seemingly harmless firework named "watusi" that is intended for children. You scratch it on a rough surface like a match and it will pop and dance on the floor. It was banned eventually due to many children eating it and causing a lot of deaths. (I googled it, and just learned that it has small amounts of TNT. Great!)
I originally had it as a black card but moved it to my artifact section. great card that can make make it in non black decks as an extra beater. not unusual to have a gemstone mine or city of brass in a non black aggro deck so that scrapheap can go to work.
I cannot surf, but I've considered trying. I'm more likely to get dive certified though.
Cheers,
