When Aether Hub enters the battlefield, you get e (an energy counter)
t: Add C to your mana pool.
t pay e: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool.
If anyone out there is still running tendo ice bridge, this is basically a strict upgrade. Even if you aren't running ice bridge, if energy ends up being good enough, this may be worth a look.
Strictly better Tendo Ice Bridge. For those who run colorless cards (including me) this is an interesting card. Also, in case other cards with energy will be playable, the card becomes even a little bit better.
Public Mod Note
(Cythare):
Just realized there were still 2 of these floating around.
Definitely better than Tendo if energy becomes a reasonable thing in cube. Otherwise it'll probably hang where ice bridge currently is, which is not in my cube.
I thought of Tendo right away, too. Seems decent, depending on how deep energy runs. Hopefully this ends up as at least a plausible option in bigger cubes.

Oooo, I could totally use this in addition to Tendo. Also, Tendo is like $11 so this can be a nice budget friendly replacement if you can pull it in a draft.
Even without other energy support cards, there are interactions that already exist in the cube that make the Hub better than the Bridge.
How so? The only thing I can think of is getting an extra energy with Strionic Resonator, which isn't exactly cube-worthy. I see Hub as marginally weaker without energy support because your opponent can respond to the trigger (e.g. giving them a last chance to play an instant before you get Drain mana up). I guess there is the upside of being able to bounce/blink Hub and then tapping it for colored mana multiple times later on?
Lets say you get it wastelanded before you use your energy, and then get it back with a Regrowth or Loam or whatever. When you replay it, you can make colored mana from it twice.
Same goes with bounce and flicker effects. If I only use it for C before it gets bounced/flickered/replayed or whatever, I generate a second energy when it comes back into play, and I can use it for colored mana twice later on in the game.
Neither of those interactions exist with the Ice Bridge.
If I include any energy cards in my cube, I am definitely going to swap out Tendo Ice Bridge for this. If I decide to keep my cube energy-free, I'll obviously keep the Bridge.
I am pretty amazed that this is an uncommon. Looks like they really want to push energy.

Great points, I was just thinking about things that directly deal with counters. Regardless, I think I'm going to cut Tectonic Edge for this and run it alongside Bridge.

Why would you keep the bridge if you don't have any other energetic cards? As wtwlf has detailed, hub will still be stronger, and as an uncommon it will be trivial to acquire.

I primarily play limited, so most of my spoiler season comments view cards through that lens.

I don't think it is worthwhile to include such a quirky mechanic as energy just for some very, very minor advantages on one or two card swaps.
The way energy works is that each individual energy card becomes better and more flexible the more energy producing cards you run. If I happen to run half a dozen or so, there is a realy chance for some nice interactions. If I only include Aether Hub, that won't be the case. I'd just make an existing card more complex without adding any upside 95% of the time.
So, I just wait until the whole spoiler is up before I decide if I include any energy cards or not.
Hmm, interesting. I guess I don't really view Hub as any more complex than Bridge -- actually feels slightly more elegant to me somehow, since you don't need to put a counter on the land itself. I'd be perfectly happy to run exactly 1 energy card because they work just fine as self contained systems (although right now 3-4 look likely). That said, obviously different people can have different senses of aesthetics, and your's has a lot more bearing on your cube composition than mine

Just realized that your opponent can technically respond to the energy counter trigger and Wasteland you or something before you even get a chance to tap for colored mana, Bridge does not suffer from this dilemma. Not a dealbreaker, but it's a situation to keep in mind.

Tendo Ice Bridge is from Kamigawa block which has a special place in my heart, so if I had to pick one it'd be Bridge.
