Just realized the new XLN PW rule gives this a small buff. I've been liking it quite a bit since I re-included it in AKH and lately other drafters have been saying how it's impressed them.
It's the first colorless card on the chopping block. It's been disappointing for a while now, and I';m glad XLN is finally bringing in some good artifacts to replace it with.

interesting you've had good results.. I tested it for a while during it's height of popularity in standard and thought it was ok, but had some mediocre experiences with it.
Either with it missing too many decklists, or failing to crew it, or having it destroyed by artifact removal.
Sample wasn't large enough to make a definite conclusion, but ended up cutting it.

I've tested it for 6 sessions now. Despite me not liking the card very much, I keep getting wrecked by it. Heart of Kiran has seen play in primarily Black aggro decks, where the evasion helps bolster the archetype considerably.

I've been testing it since AKH since we had higher planeswalker / 3-power density. It surpassed my expectations, but that's not saying much. Most of the reviews came from other feedback, saying they were impressed with it. But yeah, it probably is the most cuttable artifact at the moment, especially with Sorcerous Spyglass coming in. I might cut a mana rock instead since signets + talisman variants are plentiful and I definitely want to give HoK more time to develop since it's a card that gets better over time. Still not sure if I want to cut a mana rock though (which would probably be Thought Vessel).
Cutting a rock is way less noticeable than cutting something as specific as Heart of Kiran. As much as I try to maintain balance and such, I more aim for a range and not exact number of a type of effect. Even when you're always doing 8 mans like you are and rocks are higher priority, the worst thing that happens is you re-introduce Thought Vessel and the only one who acutely notices it is yourself.
