I haven't been able to get much testing in since AKH's release, so I need some help in determining whether or not the following cards deserve to be added to the Budget Cube Card List. Those of you who have gotten in a bit more testing, could you tell me if you expect these cards to last longer than the next few months in your cube, or if any of them have tested poorly for you?
If I were to remove my bias (i.e. I think a card like Samut is the literal best thing ever printed), I would expect the following to be in enough lists after X amount of time to make worth mentioning:
-Censor
Frankly I expected a bigger list here, but really everything else is just personal preference. I think Glyph Keeper is great, but I could see others not running it. I've been liking Bloodrage Brawler too, but apparently that's wrong? Vizier of Many Faces is an amazing budget option since it's borderline as is, but it's the definition of borderline--I would be hard-pressed to find room for it. Samut is a personal favorite but that doesn't mean it's good.
The one I would really note is Ahn-Crop Crasher, but even then it's not the bee's knees. I would add it after Censor but before any of the others.
Does anyone have any feedback on Ahn-Crop Crasher? It's been really impressive in limited. What makes it so versatile is that you don't have to exert it. When first reading the card I just assumed you attack and exert, but in reality your opponent doesn't always have good blocks and you get in with Ahn-Crop for free. Then when they do get a blocker down you do get to exert getting in more damage.
Goblin Heelcutter eventually got the axe because paying 3 mana proved itself too expensive every time you needed him. And paying 4 for him without the haste was bad. Ahn-Crop might have improved off Heelcutters shortcomings. I think I'm going to test him in my next draft.
Anyone have additional testing thoughts on this set? I'll be returning from my travels in just over a month and am looking forward to adding this set to my cube. From what it looks like to me reading through this thread the walkers have been awesome, the cheap creatures have been great, the gods have been mixed, and the utility spells have mostly earned their place. Any unexpected results popping up in recent drafts? Figured I'd ask before we get too deep into HOU spoilers.

Yes, he is a great card for all the reasons mentioned. I like him more than Heelcutter. Sure there are situations where all that matters is to evade sorcery speed removals with your three drop, but when you can play and not exert Crasher you are very far ahead in the game.

I tested it and it was fine.. maybe on the cusp of 630 powered, but fell a bit short of my 485 w/duplicates.
Semi relevant post, while I tested a boatload of cards from this set these are the cards that made it past the early phases of testing.
Cards that lasted:
Nissa, Steward of the elements
Dread Wanderer
Commit//Memory
Cut//Ribbons (could be cut any day)
Never//Return
Manglehorn
Gideon of the trials
Glorybringer (on the ropes due to 5 red CMC glut, but testing has been favorable)
Glory-bound initiate
Cast Out
Combat Celebrant (would only play in kiki combo)
Plague Belcher (only good in my zombie aristocrat black section, do not play in your cube)
Liliana was good, but cut her for a long list of reasons , not really related to power level. She could very well make a return.
No card in the top 60% of cube for power level, favourite card of the set Nissa.
450 card Peasant cube thread. Draft it here.
