Thanks! I think I had it the easiest, since token themes have a lot of design space to play with. Smile
I had fun this month. Un-design is very challenging and all the rounds had something different.

I won't have internet starting today until the weekend is over. So if anything is required by me for the final round of last month it'll have to wait until monday. But I guess it's only voting now. I'd suggest not quoting our entries in the listing, as that'll turn everything italic. Best of luck Hemlock and Subject16

@Host: That's some memory issue and quite complex mechanic for a common. Especially on a host creature where it's likely to happen multiple times. It's a good choice for a mechanic to use, but I don't like it on a common like that. A good choice for colors though. Feels very red-white.
@Augment: Augmenting +2/-2 is a fun idea. But paying 4 mana for it? That also makes the haste very hard to use. You certainly make the player overpay here. Putting this storm-like mechanic on an Augment card is asking for trouble, as Augment is not a spell. People will get this wrong a lot. Again, the colors are on point and I like the concept, but not so much the execution. It is a cool way to get the storm mechanic back a little bit though.
@Host: That's the wrong way to bring back clash. It's high on the storm scale for a reason. You even made it worse. If you don't get the clash win you get nothing. Clash was designed to always reward, but reward more when you win and people STILL didn't like it. Bringing something back people didn't like and making it worse is a bad idea.
@Augment: Certainly a fun card that makes good use of the variants design space. What I dislike is the changing power/toughness. That's very hard to keep track of, especially since there's no connection between the effect and the buff. People will be able to remember that there's 4 different variants that care about different aspects of a card, but they won't be able to remember which gives how much bonus. It'll end up confusing the board state, because you'll have to check all the time and can't just remember the card.
That being said, it's a fabulous build-around me uncommon.
@Augment: For 4 mana granting double stike I guess this would either give +1/+1 or +2/+2. Not the interesting part of the card. Caring about Equipments that way is a bit problematic to me, because you'll most likely never have more than 2 of them in your limited deck, which is very relevant when we're talking two-colored build-around-me uncommons. This should have read "Whenever an equipped creature you control attacks,"
@Host: How about haste, so it can work with itself? Also Frenzy is high on the storm scale for a reason. Just including it like that is a bad idea, or else they'd have shipped it by now with MaRo trying to bring it back. I like the name and having a host dog is something we're missing.

Didn't have internet for the past 3 days. I'll do critiques in about 15 hours from now. :/

A cute idea, but really again, nothing I can see actually working. With a big enough truck (and I know they come in tabletop sizes) you just got yourself a board wipe. Then it doesn't specifiy where to start from. Also, do you get to hold on to it? Are you allowed to prevent cards from falling off? Can you just tape them on? How will my opponent feel when I roll over his prizeless cards with a truck? What do I do if I can't get my hands on a toy truck anyway? I'd suggest you'd have to pile the creatures onto the card, then shove-toss the card into the enemy. Same rules apply.
I think I'm missing the reference here. Not sure what the point of hiding a vehicle behind a 1/1 creature is, but it certainly solves the whole creature-count ~ vehicle count dynamic problem for limited, so that's cool.
Having an attack each combat clause on a vehicle seems pointless. Unless you crew it, it's not going to attack and you're not going to crew it unless you are attacking anyways. I like the concept of having a vehicle that you run along with.
That's a super cool way to care about something un-set-ty. Exiling spells post-combat-damage is a bit awkward, as that's really a super-fringe case. Maybe only activate that while it's a creature or something? Also there not much point to this being a vehicle. All of this would work well enough on a regular artifact. But the gameplay should be amazing this way.
Simple, but I love it. That whole thing where vehicles can be overcrewed kinda makes both our designs awkward. Oh well.
That's a cool way to use the crew mechanic. I think this absolutely needs to use counters, or else the memory issue is too much. I'd also keep it from blocking. Lovely combination of spot-on-flavor and cool gameplay.

Not gonna go for a flavor connection this round, so it's sufficient to know that my round 1 card was a 2/2.

    Gruesome Cruiser 2
    Artifact - Vehicle (R)
    Trample
Whenever a creature crews Gruesome Cruiser, sacrifice that creature. If you do, put X +1/+1 counters on Gruesome Cruiser, where X is the sacrificed creature’s power.
    Crew 1
Part of the crew. Part of the ship.

That's an interesting text. I wonder if one'd have to phrase it differently, maybe with copies and reassinging, but the concept works great. I don't see an overly big synergy with your first round card though. First strike? Is that it? I guess menace helps setting this up.
Very basic design. Kinda weird in that it rewards you for something you usually don't have control over.
Not sure if I should applaud the flavor of a zombie not being able to kill a fast creature or scold you for using pointless text on a removal. A solid design, not overly special though except for the cute trinket text.
That's... a really solid design. Huh. I love how it has great synergy with your first round card too. It's a bit strong, as you opponent has to recast all those cards, but they get 2/2s in return and really, for a mana more you get to bounce two of them, so how bad can this be, really.
When you pile all cards into a stack, haven't you touched all permanents already? Not very synergistic. You are already dead. And again, this causes all sorts of headaches. Do the players have to touch the cards? Because then you can just let them lose life without the extra touch clause. Do they get to call a judge and claim since you control the spell you have to deal the cards? Issues issues issues.
A sleek design that fits well into the color pie. It's a bit strong. For just 2 mana you have a combat trick that ruins ALL blocks for your opponent. Making horse sounds would have been funnier I feel like, but yelling NO! No! Noooo! in combat is a close second.
A weird thing to care about. I would have also cared about p/t changes, as those are the most frequent one's. But I guess it plays well on it's own.

Wouldn't Guardian of the Multiverse more applicable? I wish you had made a slight mechanical connection, but I guess there's a neat flavor here between the two. While terribly boring to look at design wise, this certainly looks like something commander players would drool over.
The only complaint I have is that the whole can't be blocked 2 power thing belongs to green and red. But I guess with blue being the king of unblockability that's a minor concern. I like this very much. The entire package. Flavor, gameplay, power. It all comes together. Neat.
    Apparently not interesting enough.
In addition to funny, an unset card should actually be fun to play. Having to stand up to excuse yourself to the bathroom every turn isn't exactly fun. It just feels bad when you get too annoyed to keep this up. So I'd take this as a starting point for a concept. It's a nice griefer card. A bit too much maybe and people will start asking about what happens when they touch cards with other cards and whatnot. Problematic, but a fun concept.
I feel like a legendary horse deserves a name. Does humans becoming horses mean they are riding them now? That's not what happens usually. See: your random card. Other than that I like this. Not sure why it's Mythic though. It's a cool human tribal commander.
Make it mandatory. Also make it passive and all at once at the end of turn. You're going to tap them before your turn anyways. Then it's a cute lifegain card.
That first line made me laugh out loud. A Starfish. Pfft. Not sure what that last ability is going to be useful for (other than turning all Anteaters to Starfishes of course), but there's probably some fun behind that. And a pen and paper. Oof.

    Quote from Hemlock »
Doomfish: I really like tye simmetry herr, althought your sidekick deviates a lot from its round 2 aid submission.
The task was to upgrade the Round 1 card. Upgrading Round 2 wasn't required, only the color matters.

I'm struggling to see how your card is an upgrade. Mana cost is similar and both are 2/2, but I'm missing the connection. Your old card was about hating on creatures with 4 or more power. Your new card supports creatures with 2 power or less. That's very different approaches. Not sure why you are using shroud. Sure, it would be nice, but players misplay that. It's a very potent card and non-interactive for your opponents as it affects itself. I could see some interesting theme decks around the card. Now the second card feels like an upgrade to your first round, but it's not the one as the colors don't match. So Skulk for your team and carddraw. I like how you found something matching both green and blue. Not sure I like ramping up the non-interactivity. The two likely make for a cool commander pair.
You were supposed to make rares, not mythic rares and the task also included upgrading your round 1 creature. I see no connection between Iris and the Canny Whipmaster mechanic-wise. To me, you failed the assignment.
That being said, I like what Alva does for white and blue. Caring about leaving the battlefield that way is a cool thing for those colors. That plays nicely with Iris, but to me Iris is too narrow. 4 mana 3/3 is already rather weak and then you have to attack to get the effect. A simple block will seal the deal on the girl and all you got out of it was an artifact removal.
I like how the artifacts get applied to both Partners. That's super interesting.
It's hard to resist that new hexproof template, isn't it? Grin I like to explore it too, but things can get confusing fast. The second ability reads very weird. It happens rather rarely that creatures enter the battlefield under an opponent's control during your turn. A cool upgrade though. Suchet is very flavorful, I like it. Plays nicely with Deirdre too.
That's a nice upgrade right there. Caring about lands with different names is cool. Even if that's something people do play anyways, that's not a bad thing to support. Yozya is in spirit of your round 2 card, even if that wasn't required. 1/6 indestructible is interesting, even if I don't know if it'll create good play patterns. I like how you can create a save environment for your creatures with this, something that'll find takers for sure.
I like how this upgrades and maintains mechanical identity. What I dislike is how it evolved into a mess of effects. Those three things happening to the creature seem a bit much.
When attempting something like that flavor becomes very important to carry the card. An assassin that somehow strengthens the victim first? I'm not even sure how that flavours as mercy. This would have done better with an evolve chamber kind of flavor. The creature becomes stronger, but it's a straining process and it might die during it. It also takes time, so it doesn't untap. Now he's just mercifully strangling himself all the time. Kinky.
Vonri is a bit too on the nose with the name. Hiring Aristocrat sounds like something that appears on a political cartoon, written over some guy's clothes, to make sure people get what's going on.
Outside of commander it's weird how this reduces Adhil's cost by 1, even though that doesn't appear in Adhil's cost. Reads like an oversight. Maybe it should have just generated some gold tokens?
The way the activated ability is ordered it seems like it cares about with how many counters the creature enters the battlefield again. Often that's none. The synergy with Adhil also escapes me. If it's about your creature you wouldn't want to get rid of the +1/+1 counters. If it's about your opponent's creatures that's a lot of effort to deal some damage.
A nice upgrade of your round 1 creature and I like how you can give up power for toughness with the deathtouch. However losing power and gaining toughness seems very out of place on a black/red creature and I really don't see the red in this.
Aiota is cool and has a nice connection to Cras. Forcing playpatterns where people who don't understand how p/t switching works within the layer rules will misplay this very strongly is a bit worrying.
I think Cras should have had Haste to justify the red part and so it can catch up to the quicker Aiota with it's flash. The overall playpattern here seems very fun.
