Cool ideas, I particularly like Spellstash, although 7 turns is a lot time. I'd prefer 5 and I don't think it'd be too powerful either.
Courrupt Evocation costs too much mana in my opinion considering it can't be instant and you can only have one at a time. Maybe 2BB or BBB would be better.
This is the first time I've ever created cards. I really like lifegain and lifelink, but I feel it never has been particuarly powerful so I wanted to make some cards that are pretty good. Hopefully they aren't too strong. I would really appreciate some feedback along with general ideas on hypothetical lifegain cards.

Buy cards individually. I would strongly suggest getting them on ebay. Figure out your style of play, aggro is good for beginners, it's sort of like aggressive rush down, put creatures on the field quickly, attack and overrun your opponents, usually a type of tribe (humans, elves, zombies, vampires, etc.). But there are so many different types of things you can do, look around this board and look at decks and find out what you like. When I build a deck, I usually find a card or two I like and then build around that deck.
Some people play control, that involves locking down your opponent, stalling, countering their spells, etc.
You should really figure out which color(s) you like. Generally keep these things in mind
Black: Excels in removing creatures, bring creatures back from the dead, forcing opponents (or you) sacrifice
Green: Excels in getting land and mana out quickly, trample, tokens, reach, enchantment removal
White: Excels in exile, lifegain, vigilance, tokens, flying
Blue: Excels in control, counters, mill, flying
Red: Excels in burn, haste, direct damage
They have weaknesses, but I'm too lazy to go through all of that unless you ask specifically. Anything you have questions about I'll try to help, I'm not an expert, but I play a lot, and I have a good understanding of the game.
It depends if you want to play casually or competitively, if you want to play standard, which a lot of people are tourneys and card shops play, you can't use cards that are more than 2 years old. It's a lot cheaper to play casually, you can buy cards individually on websites like ebay, most of them for cheap, you can buy a decent casual deck for less than 50 bucks, but you can spend nearly 50 bucks on a fat pack and totally miss.
I would find out what colors you like, and build decks from scratch, buying booster packs at full retail and building from that is way too expensive.
I have a lot of decks now, and I'm proud of most of them, but they are casual and based around gimmicks. I want at least one deck that is primarily about winning in a one on one setting and I'm pretty sure I want to do Black Blue Mill. It all started when I learned about Mind Funeral, I fell in love with the card and realized how crazy it is. I want to keep things Vintage legal (or perhaps Legacy, haven't decided yet) if possible.
Right now, I'm focusing on a "Mill Kill" plan, where I mill unless a creature appears and if I do, I kill it. Here's a rough draft of what I have so far. I realize Glimpse the Unthinkable is a great card, but point blank it is out of my price range. I'm also trying to do this without Jace, although I am sort of considering Memory Adept. This is a really rough draft but a basic outline of what I want to do, pretty sure I'm not going to have a lot of creatures in this deck though. I am worried about dealing with planeswalkers to be honest so Vampire Hexmage could potentially have a role in here. Although this deck should be fast enough where they really shouldn't be a major problem. No Mercy is probably going to go. Am I off to a decent start? Help me out please.
Yeah, I guess I should focus on late game, perhaps I will put in a couple Duress or even Hymn To Tourach, Bosium Strip and Mirari aren't really my style.
You really need to get rid of your situational counters. "Counter target creature spell" really sucks when they play a non-creature spell that wins them the game. You're playing classic control. The first 19 points of life are resources to buy you time to win the game. You always need an answer or you lose.
I posted this in another thread but this still holds a relevant argument here.
Plus, considering that this deck MIGHT be used in multiplayer, Dark Ritual is even worse since multiplayer games go on much longer than ordinary duels. So Ritual is made even more of a horrible topdeck in multiplayer.
Isn't ritual also good for pumping the leech spells? Should I take them all out or just a couple, what would you put in instead?
Yeah, very nice stuff, I'm stealing that psuedo soul sisters deck totally, just with a few changes though. The coin flipping deck is fun too, might snag that up.
I like this concept a lot, pretty sure I'm going to steal this. I've had a playset of Isolated Chapel I've been meaning to use for awhile. however I might put in 4 Unearth to make sure your leechers can always come back, along with a playset of Mother of Runes probably taking out Sign In Blood and four of the sisters.

Gaea's Nurturing is perfect.

Good stuff, would you say Mind Sculpt is better than Tome Scour? Is Jace Beleren worth running? If I were to fit in Thought Scour, what would I cut?
