Doesn't really work with the kamigawa example, spirits weren't a replacement for angels at all in that block. The spirits were just everywhere but I get what you're saying.
I'm super excited about something I wrote up today with Reyhan and Tana. It revolves around Devour and moving/preserving +1/+1 counters makes it so that Devour is usually a net gain and really takes off when tana has tons of power from counters. Never thought they'd work as a pair but the list looks great so far and makes a less common, fun mechanic more usable.
I don't really agree with the sentiment of taking from the poor and giving to the rich :/ if you're the group hug player you can choose who to give stuff to (depending on deck composition) and just help the weak or new players and promote a fun game regardless. Give the players that need it a boost
Man I'm so far off what most people in here are drinking I can't stand most of the stuff you guys have mentioned that I recognize. I love hard ciders, including Angry Orchard, but Glacial Till is my favorite. Other than that the only beers that I can stand to drink are Blue Moon (my favorite) and then stuff like Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy and Lemon Shandy. First beer I had was some wheaty crap that my dad let me try when I was 11. I generally prefer vodka and rum if I'm going to drink though, takes less to get me where I want to be. Beer is for when I'm at a restaurant with friends or anywhere else that I don't actually want to get drunk but I still want to drink.
In summary, Blue Moon is my kinda beer and pretty much the only one I drink with regularity. I respect that you guys can enjoy all that other stuff though, I could never stomach it.
Definitely not horrible and you'd probably do ok at fnm, but you could make some improvements pretty easily. I'm not sure what all of those cards do without the deck tags though, I just recognize that they don't see much play (March from the Tomb, Odric, Lunarch Marshal, Makindi Patrol, stuff like that). There's a page somewhere that teaches you how to use deck tags, but there is a little button when you're making a post that looks like a stack of cards. Just highlight your list and click on that button.
It doesn't always go three deep because sometimes you don't need too, which is what makes it better. Not to mention that it's an instant, not a sorcery. I'm really not sure why we're having the conversation at all, seems like semantics to me.
I think Preordain would be an interesting unban that could help blue combo and control a little bit. I'd like to see storm be a little better, but only because it's the only modern combo deck I enjoy lol
Kinda confused by the statements being made that the current uxx decks take up twin's former meta share. All of the current uxx decks that are control or tempo don't add up to anything near twin's 12.1% or whatever it was. Closer to 8%, but maybe my math is wrong. Correct me if it is, I'm not trying to be inflammatory or anything.
Those numbers point more to a loss of blue decks rather than any sort of gain though, I'm guessing that other uxx decks had close to that meta % or better while twin was around.
Ah my bad guess I should have looked for that, seemed a little too obvious. Sorry. The top 8 is at least a little diverse, what with scapeshift and lantern control in there.
Card doesn't seem terribly good, but might be within the context of the set/current standard environment.
