Ok, I don't know why, but the cards I make that are the least creative get the most votes.
I definitely know how you feel. Thinking along those lines, the other day I posted a common, instant that put a +1/+1 counter on a creature then gave it first strike for (Positive Reinforcement) , but it only got one vote. While I definitely think people lean towards simpler cards (maybe because they're easier to grasp or see being printed), I don't think it's as easy as that. People just like what they like. Personally, I just try to vote for my favorite cards, but I give a lot of bonus credit for originality. Also, I've noticed that I tend to vote for cards that don't get many other votes. I will say however, if a card immediately makes me think "I can't believe that hasn't been printed yet!", I will put some serious thought into voting for it, creative or not.
Edit: Actually, I voted for you the last 2 days mostly for the "I can't believe this hasn't been printed yet" reason. (I think)
Edit2: The cards I'm talking about in the first edit are actually Test of Mettle, and the one that destroys a creature then let you scry (whatever that was called, I think it was yours).
Votes: Link, Rudyard (It might be too strong, but it's def interesting)
This card earned me 24 out of 25 points from Ogonomany in the MCC. Let's see what the fine folks of the DCC think of it.....

I'm not sure if I have Nut Hoarder's second ability worded correctly. Also, I originally developed Nut Hoarder as a 1/1 for 1, I'm thinking about changing him back, but I'm afraid people may think it's OP. Personally, I like it better as a 1/1 for 1. Any thoughts?
Edit: Please disregard this post. I posted the wrong version of the card originally, and have since posted a different version. This post actually doesn't pertain to either of those versions. Sorry for the nonsense.
