Really busy the last few days. I should be bringing more to the game, but sadly, I currently cannot. However, I have reviewed the Blues-D_V dialogue, and I have to say, I feel Blues is making some strong points against D_V and I'm not really buying his defense. I'd like to see a response to #319, something other than "you stated your case but it wasn't good".

Olli is not looking like the best lynch option anymore. Currently I'd agree to a D_V lynch, and I would gladly see an Audio lynch as well, should he not respond to my two questions. I have read him as tunneling town, as seen from my roster run, but his posts following that are again very anti-town.

I would be unwilling to lynch outside the mentioned three at this point. Currently D_V seems like the best option, and it will most likely give us the most data to process D2.

    Unvote
    Vote: D_V

Also I know someone asked me If I was reading the thread. I'm not. I'm lightly skimming cause I already caught a scum, so like...get bent person asking me if I read.

Are you serious or is this sarcarsm?

Why the **** are people posting full reads list on day 1? Stop. All of you. Now.

    Jesus christ.

    Please elaborate why.

Forgot about Juls. My stance on him is still where it was, more or less. I want more from him.

    @Bloodmoon, you left me out.

Having slept on it and re-skimming the last couple of pages, I now believe D_V vs. EL is most likely town vs. town. It seems unlikely that two experienced players would get so heated that one was basically requesting a substitution and the other could not control himself and got force replaced if they were scum. Usually when playing scum, players tend to be more careful, but they both went full on heads against the wall. This does not mean it is not possible one or both are scum, but at the moment, I do not feel like they are and am unwilling to lynch either of them.

I am also not willing to lynch Blues, since the case on him did not really persuade me. On top of it, I think he is one of the best contributors in the thread, so even if he is scum, we'll have more time to catch him later on, and can use him either way to have a discussion. His demeanor is calm and civilized, his posts have lots of substance, both is something we desperately need right now.

Currently my strongest town read is Bloodmoon. I can't really make a solid case as to why, but the general feel regarding her behavior sends a good vibe to me. She contributes and I can relate to her queries often.

I'm on the fence regarding Torg - I see more sense in EL's defence than D_V's attack, but to be honest, he is giving me some feelings of intentionally flying under the radar. Will not disagree with his lynch, but will not push for it.

Mograppler is, to me, a bit of an enigma. His actions seem that of an inexperienced player, but that does not nullify his actions - what's been bothering me the most is the fact that he is ghosting EL, or at least it feels that way, even though I (somewhat rudely) made him aware he is doing this. Regarding his lynch, I feel the same as with Torg.

Audio seems townish. Tunneled, but townish nonetheless. Unwillingness to change vote, blindness to everything else that's going on... It's anti-town behavior, but I can't see how scum would benefit from these kind of actions; his persecution could have backfired, it is quite a gamble I think.

Rhand... I can't really get a grip on. His case on Blues did not persuade me, and he is sort of standing by the sidelines since. I feel neutral about him, but he, I think, is not a lynch candidate at the moment.

Folza. Folza seems better since he posted his roster run. Currently I am eager to see the screenshot of his whole list, but the sole fact that he decided to write it makes me feel better about him. Better read on him will be possible once I can read the whole thing.

Olliwog has 5 posts under his belt. 1) character reveal and hello, 2) a call to play in character and a vote on me without reads on other players, 3) correction of vote formatting, 4) short defense and explanation that the vote on me was to test the waters, 5) expressing belief that either (or both) D_V and Torg are scum and a vote for Torg, based on two posts, without further explanation as to why or any impression on the rest of the playing field.

Vote: Fuggingolliwog - I'd rather lynch him than D_V at this point. Either way, more votes on him might at least pressure him on contributing more.

In other news, I am actually feeling a bit lost. Had to catch up quite a bit and it was in no way fun to read through the last couple of pages. It is entirely possible I am missing something and I would be grateful if you can point it out to me if that is indeed the case (not used to not having a grip on the game, which is exactly how I feel right now, and I have neither the time nor the desire to re-read the thread, I hope you can understand).

It's 2am as I'm starting to write this. I am tackling all the info for quite some time now and somewhere in between I managed to close the tab where I was writing it. I hope I cover the main points at least from memory. Lots has been said and I am way behind - sorry about that, had a hectic couple of days. I have now re-read the thread (that's a sick flow rhyme right there) up to page 7, which I have only skimmed, and I have gathered my thoughts here.

Lurker has made a bad post we all ignored in #126. At the same time he suggests Sen Triplets character might be cop and it would not surprise him, thus suggesting a connection between characters and roles, but immediately after admits to sharing his character with us to legitimize a RVS vote on Folza. This makes little to no sense; if he actually believes characters might hint roles, why hurry and share who his is with us? And if he does not actually believe that, why would he hint it to Jugs and Olliwog, to steer them on the wrong path? A couple of posts later, Blues also shares his character without addressing the possible connection between characters and roles proposed by Lurker, which is... unusual to say the least, coming from a player who is a thorough reader judging by the game so far.

Folza suggesting a replacement has been seen by some as a townie thing to do, but I'd like to remind you he was suggesting it, not requesting it. Big difference. Suggesting it could be scum play to gain brownie points. Not saying that actually happened, but I do feel this needs to be considered as an option.

Rhand presents a case on Blues. While I can relate to some of his points, I do feel like he is tunneling a bit, giving more weight to some arguments than they should have. Currently I still have my concerns regarding Blues, never stopped having them, but I am liking his recent contributions, especially how he challenged Audio's case on Lurker and later D_V's case on Lurker.

D_V vs. Lurker. A lot to process. Both had some great points, and both conveniently ignored certain points of discussion when they felt like it. However, I do find D_V's roster run where he places Lurker on 3rd scum slot begind Torg on 1st out of place, and I am not a huge fan of self voting. D_V, I'd love to discuss this matter with you after the game is over. I dislike the self-vote, but I hate #315 even more. I don't know the circumstances, but this should have been handled differently.

Post #315, post #126, some other concerns I am way too tired to get into right now but will gladly do that tomorrow, let's make things interesting,

    Vote: EternalLurker

In other news, this Maelstrom is looking more and more like a *****storm. Aren't we here to enjoy ourselves? Last couple of pages make me feel anything but enjoyment - it's more of a contest who can insult another with being bad at mafia more. Come on, guys... we can do better than that.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Things have been rather crazy. Was able to skim the thread a bit a couple of times, but never managed to actually post or thoroughly read through. I expect I'll manage to do that in a couple of hours, if the site won't crash on me again as it did yesterday.

Yessss, finally some action Smile Welcome, D_V and Rhand!

@AudioTsunami: Post #56 is humor and a null tell. Same goes for the ending of post #105, if that's what caught your eye. Post #61 is different, though. I have my own theory why EL wrote it, and it is, again, a WIFOM situation and a null tell.

@D_V: In post #176 you say you thought your slot was scum before subbing in. Why? You also claim Folza is neutral because he is inexperienced, but if he were experienced, it would be townie. I don't get that at all. Please explain.

@EternalLurker: In post #183, are you referring to me? Because I would like to see how you got the idea I have town-read you Smile

@Rhand: Looking forward to see your case on Blues. Hope you manage to provide it soon. Regarding Folza, is there a particular part of his replacement post that make you feel he's town, or is it a general vibe?

Having thought about it more and having re-read the first page, the GG post from Mystic does seem a bit off. If you insist on his wagon, I'll join. However, I'm also up for Folza, Skogs, fuggingolliwog or Tsunami wagon. Folza has no opinion, Skogs I feel was fishing for pity points, fugg had that role play idea paired with a weak vote and is since silent, Tsunami's post is very disappointing for a first and only post in a game that has been running for more than 1 IRL week now.

I'll start with a vote for Folza to put on some pressure and I'll wait for your responses. Let's get this ball rolling. Or that ball. Any ball, really.

    Vote: Folza

@Mograppler: I highly doubt that. There was no scum slip. There was a simple accusation, far from anything certain, which was followed by 2 posts that could be read as gloating, and then he left. Do you honestly believe he is scum and he felt was caught and just left? That is your best explanation? Or are you just auto-agreeing with EL, which you seem to be doing quite a lot since you called him a loose cannon and claiming you tenitavely trust him?

@AudioTsunami: You have been missing the entire game, and all you bother to contribute is this?

EternalLurker: No, I will not join the Sunray wagon at this point. I read his posts as coming from a frustrated new player. His first post is solid. You are hung on his die throwing comparison, but I see inexperience rather than scum in suggesting this. You vote him on that grounds, he responds with an instant revenge vote, another inexperience tell, then Torg joins, you make that smug remark about ez game ez lief and I think he was just pissed off and left. That's the way it seems to me, anyway. The recent substitution seems to be in favor of my theory rather than yours.

I find it unsettling that you are willing to drive that bus all the way down town. You pushed Mograppler early on. Where is your stance on him currently? Are you satisfied with the way Jugs is contributing? How do you feel about Folza, who has no opinion? I could go on. Point is, there are plenty of targets for D1 lynch, and you have been pushing Sunray since page 1. I believe others have given better reasons for a lynch, yet you still push him. That makes me feel that you are either tunneling or have an agenda. Either way, I need to keep an eye on you.

I do like your response to Blues, though.

@BluesEclipse: You are still doing it. You are too friendly and too kind and too helping for my taste. And don't give me that "help the newer players" excuse again. They have mentors. You are trying to influence their actions.

It may be true what EL said, us three being the more experienced and active so far, but that does not mean I trust you. It seems a bit early to start distancing from one another, so I am currently thinking you are not both scum, but one of you being is certainly an option.

Off-topic: KingBacon made me lol Smile nagobcnik means muzzle (the device for dogs, not the body or gun part) in my mother tongue. You can call me Bacon though if that's easier. Smile

@JulsSkogs: where did EL jump on a bandwagon? I missed that.

@Folza: getting a feel of the game while sitting idly by and not actually participating will be hard to do. I suggest you start contributing.

@fuggingolliwog: I'm not here to hold hands and hug trees, I'm here to hunt scum. And I disagree with talking in character, as EL explained.

Some issues have been raised and some of you did not even bother to comment. This way, we as a town haven't got a lot to work with. Which is bad for us and good for scum. Which is why we need to start actually participating and stop being afraid to go out into the water. If you are town, you shouldn't be too worried if you get voted or even lynched, since all votes and lynches are data we can work with. We are the majority, but are uninformed. Our best chance to get informed by day, not by night. Start talking.

@Wheat_Gringer: any news on Mummy and Tsunami?

I had half a mind to just post the vote, so you could see how it feels not getting any info. Smile but since we are not alone in this game...

While I can understand you are busy, posting once every three days as a minimum shouldn't be too hard to do. If it is, you were aware of it before you signed up. It's not like you had no access to the Internet or no time for mtgsalvation - you were on the forums. Also, you getting upset seems faked. I think you are looking for pity points. If being pressured into posting at all offends you, mafia is not for you. It can get worse.

I am not buying your excuses and I think you are scum (before you get upset, I think you are not a townie, this is not an attack on your personality).
