I've heard talk about Cardsphere as an alternative to Pucatrade, but have not used it myself. Also rather on the downswing is MOTL (http://forums.magictraders.com/Ultimate.cgi), but there are still people trading there.
Really you see I don't think Jace's Plan with Vraska is going to smoothly. I think Vraska probably dies for Jace Angst, maybe Lili snaps and kills her. What amazes me actually is Bolas (to our knowledge) never sent anyone to check on Vraska Story? She apparently turned Azor and a bunch of others into Gold Statues seems Bolas could have an Agent walk over to Ixalan and look around to see any evidence of such amazing feats.
They pointed out in the memory that Vraska did the gold trick cuz she had a boost from the immortal sun. Also Bolas is arrogant and has no reason at all to think Vraska would betray him.
Or even beyond whether she would betray him, I doubt he thinks that she could hide it from him if she did betray him. I doubt he would look super close for outside tinkering in her mind after seeing that her thoughts showed what he wanted.
So, after all this time and the hype, I felt that Jodah was rather meh. I mean, I haven't read the old material with him just recaps and such, but from what everyone said, he seemed super hyped.
Also, Ajani seemed rather pointless here. If he only showed up to meet up with the gatewatch and go elsewhere, what was the point of meeting with Jhoira and the Weatherlight, especially as he already knew where he was supposed to meet the gatewatch?
I don't know. It's possible, but Aryel seems much stronger. The +1/+1 is very big in itself. Also having vigilance to have the possibility to attack and then use the ability is fairly strong. And then, the first ability is very useful by itself, not needing to use the second ability for it to be good, and it gives a reason to hold mana, causing question to whether you have removal or are going to create instant speed creatures. The second ability is just icing, if you are able to reach it. Consider what you would think of it if it didn't have the second ability. Would you consider it comparable to Triad or just a much better card. It is also strengthened due to knight tribal.
All of this not to say that it is amazing and will be played a ton (although who knows), but that I personally feel that comparison is poor, even if they are the same color and cost and have multiple abilities, as Triad is very clearly a much weaker card.
So, should Benalish Marshal be considered for anything here? An extra anthem with a body from sideboard, after they supposedly side out spot removal, possibly?
Oh, I have no doubt she's Standard-playable.
At her worst, she's eating the Push out of your opponent's hand. But then you probably drop Lyra Dawnbringer the next turn, and your opponent wishes they still had removal.
At her best, she's keeping all your other goons alive FTW.

In other words, you completely forgot about one of the formats these sets are designed for.
I mean, if they don't play or keep up with that format, they won't be likely to judge cards by it or even necessarily know what would be used or how.
I know that, but it's the part where they said that they couldn't think of any other format than EDH or a few specific decks in Modern that led me to say that.
Just because one doesn't like a certain format doesn't mean they should forget that format exists, or that that format is a major factor in why cards are designed a certain way.
That's fair.
I know that I tend not to think about standard application so much either, as I haven't played it in a few years, but stuff printed in new standard sets most certainly apply there.
I will be using Shalai on my Souls Sisters deck, but that's about the only place i can see her being played (other then EDH)

I am definitely enjoying the stories so far. They are fast paced, but don't seem really rushed. Also, there is a lot of time to cover to get to when Jace is supposed to arrive.
I did a bunch of testing with this list, and I have to say that I'm impressed. I was admittedly a little skeptical at first, but this setup does a lot of things well. It's as fast as traditional aggressive builds, but packs almost as much disruption and removal as the top control-focused Tokens lists. Little Gideon is perhaps the weakest card in the mainboard, but he works, and works well at that, which I think stands as a testament to how much synergy this deck has and how well balanced it is.

Hello ChainVeil. All credits for the list goes to Marcofra17! I saw the list on an italian facebook group reported by him playing it at last GP Lyon and i decided to test with some little changes (the 4th path and changing a field of ruin for the vault of archangel) and I was impressed too! I tested a lot online and I won almost every match against midrange and aggro (4-0 against Jund currently). Also against combo the list is super fast and with the support of discards we can win by means of a fast race! The most impressive thing is that the deck can also change to a more control gameplan by means of the Gideons pack. I am really enjoying the list, for sure some changes can be done but right now it is super fast!
What sideboards did you both work with. Did the changes in the deck bring much changes there?

Can't be exiled by path to exile, or such cards, when you have less devotion. Also, most enchantment hate is destroy, so it is very hard to remove when not a creature; much harder than when it is a creature.
