This is probably too cute, but what do you think of Teferi's Puzzle Box as a lock piece for this "archetype".
It's not great on its own, but the ability can help dig for other pieces for the combo.
I have added Emry since it was released and I think it's one of the stronger 3 drops in blue even with all the competition. It's in no danger of getting cut anytime soon from my list (size 720).
A new 2 mana dork in green with incidental graveyard hate. Note that it can attack as a 3/3 after using the mana ability twice, since the third counter is added on tapping (attacking).
Sure 4/4 for 2G is good rate, but it's not like we haven't seen 4/4's (or better) for 3 CMC before.
I think the combination of trample and proliferate on damage has some potential. I always liked proliferate as a mechanic, but there was never any good cards with it before. I will probably give this one a spin.
I just cut Skyfisher to try out Guardian of New Benalia. I do have moxes in my cube, but my cube size is 720, so it is not a given you would have a mox to go with it. Additionally I have a humans subtheme.
Ultimately, I think Skyfisher shines in small/medium powered cubes, but the powerful synergies get watered down with increasing cube size.
This card caught my attention. A hasty 15/15 Golem token for 3GG is a nice rate.
I like the flexibility of the card, can be cast as a 2/3 beater on turn two that you can upgrade to a 6/6 on turn five. Or a 5/5 on turn five that you upgrade to a 15/15 on turn 6. Plus many synergies with creature/artifact recursion.
Boros is one of the weakest guilds in cube. Could this be interesting for medium-large sized cubes?
In my cube most RW decks are aggressive where this would not fit in, but I could see it do some work in a Welder/Artifact deck or potentially in Naya Pod or Mardu Reanimator.
I like Nahiri more. You can ultimate her surprisingly fast and she can somewhat defend herself with her -2.
Ajani feels too low impact to me and has low starting loyalty + low uptick.
I am really conflicted with this card. It might be the best Boros planeswalker since all its modes are really powerful for the cost (even if you don't have full control).
As a legacy player, I hate that it is legal in eternal formats.
For cube, I kinda like it. It is definitely good enough in a 720 card cube like mine. I will try it out to see if my playgroup likes it.
I really like this card. The +3/+1 is nice compared to Chupacabra, but I think flash is the most important part on this card and I like it more overall than the 4 CMC non-flash variants. I will be including this.

I think this is comparable to our current best options for green 2 CMC mana producing creatures (outside of Rofellos) like Wall of Roots, Tangled Florahedron, Devoted Druid, Biophagus, Sanctum Weaver, Bloom Tender, Sylvan Caryatid, Llanowar Loamspeaker. I currently run the first 4 of these in my 720 card cube.
Is it better than some of these?

I will likely try to find room and test it.

I will try it over Trinket Mage or Spellseeker.
Ponder >> Narset >> Arcane
Ponder is probably the best cantrip in cube.
I also play Kogla and like the ape, but it is probably the right cut for this card.
