I had Kindred Dominance in the list before cuts, its a great sweeper.
My thought with doubling cube was big, big, mana. With black market, mana geyser and coffurborg, was hoping to get to ridiculous levels.
So here is my first edition of Xantcha. Needs playtesting, would rank this as a 'focused' deck, 6/10, if 10 being most competitive deck for edh. Questions or comments appreciated.
I think you chose well with your precon. Keep those crucibles, they will jump right back up in price, they dipped in X Edition but constantly went up from there. Best thing to do is play the deck, decide which commander you like best and slowly tweak from there. Hope you like the esper control, but remember your not 'tied' to that archetype. Play what you like to do and do a lot of search either on Scryfall or Gatherer of keywords you want to develop. Ie 'top of library' or cmc 7,9,11 ect
Command Zone released a Deck Tech for Xantcha today. But just a heads up, this was recorded before c18 was released, the infinite mana is NOT an instant table kill. Xantcha still goes back to your control when the host, er opponent controlling Xantcha is defeated. So you also require a sac outlet ie Phyrexian Altar
Some great ideas there.
Baron Sengir cant save himself, even with vigilance. WotC errated its simple text/ability, so oracle says " regenerate another target vampire"
I would suggest Lightning Greaves, Swiftfoot Boots to give him haste and protection.
Built Xantcha and awaiting it in the mail, as I wasnt going to spend $$$ on that precon. Bought Esper and Izzet.
The Aminatou Deck seems really cool, and going to keep it a precon untill after I get some c18 precon vs, precon games in. Then its off to upgrading and tossing out the cards that dont jive. I really like its synergy with black and Corpse Dance, so thinking a bit of reainimation, a bit of blink and a couple of miracles and manipulation is where that is going.
I bought the Izzet deck because half of the reprints were already in Jhoira, and the new stuff was worth getting as a whole instead of ordering pieces. Keeping Brudiclad in there as there are alot of token makers, its sweet Jhoira triggers off of cards like Feldon of the Third Path and Pia and Kiran Nalaar
Basically the best spells, I wanna call this the "swiss army knife".
Then you can blink Brago, King Eternal, Reanimate/recur with Sun Titan, Rally the Ancestors.
Kinda like Eternal Witness is for green, Spellseeker is for blue. To me this is a slam dunk staple, but Im not seeing it pop up in decklists much. Maybe im blind.
Whats everyone else's thoughts and opinions here?
It will keep other opponents open to be attacked, especially with Saboteur creatures like Master of Cruelties
Also try Bestial Fury, it replaces itself and gives a huge boost if Xantcha becomes chump blocked. Or other evasion granting cards, Dauthi Embrace is a good mention because its not an aura.
Welcome to Rakdos, planning ---> havoc.
Sure does look like Dig, but the question remains, Why the @#$% didnt they use the new awesome art? Another UMA fail.
MM17 > UMA aka Should of been M25
Aminatou, the Fateshifter
Or Estrid, the Masked
But how do you win??

Some great ideas there.
Lots of similar ideas, big mana and punisher cards, plus things that control combat.
Keldon Twilight
Its a nonbo with forced attack cards, but great in a staxy group slug deck.
I would suggest Lightning Greaves, Swiftfoot Boots to give him haste and protection.
