I plan to see what Augur of Bolas and K. Transmutation bring to the table, watch how meta evolves and what walker needs to be in the sideboard.
KT seems like a big upgrade over Freeze, one mana cheaper is huge and sometimes that wall stops Obsessed Trickster and Surge Mare from attack.
Lazotep Plating seems nice vs control and their discard/edict package, while 1/1 can still wear important hats.
Opponent might have "God hand" of Thoughtseize into Goyf into Liliana, so if we played a creature and have Conclave out then Liliana might "Edict" us, but she is going down on our next turn. For me, it is important to always have something to do with my mana or at least not have my opponent be so comfortable to tapout and play planeswalker without fear.
MoW is essential against Burn because we need to turn the game around quickly, give them less topdecks, Kopala is just a 2/2 for three that has trouble blocking Swiftspear (or even Guide and Eidolon since then it is only Grey Ogre which haven't leveraged the tax ability) and we get dmg casting it vs Eidolon. If there is low amount of devotion on turn 4/5 that might mean our life total is higher because we chumped to survive or they used burn spells to clear the way, Master will still Moat the ground and be ready to turn the corner. Burn is usually 3-colored deck with low land count, so our Seas help devotion even if they Searing-ed everything else, then you need Mow for cleaning duty.
Some of the decks I have played against had Carny as their only creature, with planeswalkers.
The counter argument is valid.
How about I counterspell ALL your creatures and then cast the Tyrant?
I thought we were talking about relevant tier1 and tier2 decks.
What deck is going to counter ALL my creatures and then cast Tyrant? I would love to play against those decks, they sound like bye.
FANAttIC->"Just slap Metamorphic Alteration on random creature, copy the most unfair creature ever and go to their face, they can block or not. Or copy your Djinn and go to town."
Nope.
In Responce, I counterspell
In Responce, I kill your creature
In Responce, I kill your Djinn
Counter/Kill, don't work on Death Lizard, and is why he is format defining
Counter/Kill, destroys Metamorphic Alteration, and is why it is just dinky.
Fanattic ->"MonoR is not the worst matchup for us, we have every tool to beat them. Not sure which is the worst, but that one is not."
So, why can't I beat Mono-Red ?
When opponent casts Tyrant, how many counterspells should I expect from them?
The same for creature kill. So, they have mana to cast Carnage and removal but I have none for Alteration + protection?
And if they have removal for Djinn, that Djinn would be dead long before Alteration is even on the stack.
Our deck has setup to protect a creature with aura, otherwise CO wouldn't be played.
How can you even use Counter argument? Then no spell should be worth playing, except Tyrant, Niv, Banefire and few others.
Only you know your decklist. I have enough respect to play 4 Surge Mare in 75, red and green does not go through that. Including few Entrancing Melody for problematic creatures like Steam-Kin, CCC creatures, Adanto, Wildgrowth Walker...
Did you watch Nikachu's videos on Arena? On his way to Mythic he had to beat all red decks.

There is no number of duals we could play in Standard that can enable mana to consistently play splashed cards, and for us to still have relevant-sized Djinn.
Deck is still great and obv unrespected.

CO is a pushed card, glad to have it.
