My favorite Combo in Pauper right now is „Virus Factory“
4 of Nettle Sentinel + Goblin Electromancer + Thermo Alchemist and any green reduction Familiar + Sprouting Swarm = infinite tapped Tokens.
5 of the same + Sprouting Swarm = infinite untapped tokens or infinite damage plus tapped tokens if Thermo Alchemist has no summoning sickness.
Sorry guys, but I really, really want to play with Colossus Hammer Moreso I want to have it on Goblin Gaveleer. I am so happy now over something so dumb
I also have to say my goodbyes to this places as long as it is alive. This is the first big fomum I have been active, where I have taken over a thread, even if I maybe did a lousy job in there. It was fun. I feel like I learned a lot here and I hope we find a new creative home when this one collapses. The funniest thing about it is that I am enjoying Critical role very much atm. ... A show that is sponsored by DnD Beyond... Only in a perfect circle of life one passion eats the other.
I am very much for making a new primer for Modern Cheeri0s as soon as a new platform is available. Please count me in!
Some of us here have been advocats of playing thecombo on turn with counter backup. Don't forget t2 will always be an option. But against some decks on the draw you might want to do some things in a different way. Especially with a sideboard card.
Potentially Teferi is indeed a good piece to use in Cheeri0s, but he has 3 big downsides imo.
1. We have only 15 lands. Playing a 3 drop on turn 3 isn't always possible.
2. He doesn't do much inside the combo turn itself and only might help to set up the combo with his -3.
3. He can be killed in the meantime after we played him and we don't have many ways to defend him.
Positive:
1. He defends himself with the -3.
2. Most importantly he can get rid of any hindering piece like Damping Sphere, Eidolon of the great Revel and Chalice of the Void.
3. He allows us to go off in response to our opponent tapping out. This way we can put a lot more pressure against control decks.
I want to see him play out as a sideboard tech. Maybe he gets a promotion from there on.
This Ugin looks fun, but I think his true potential lies within combo decks that can reach 6 mana. 6 mana and win sounds better than 6 mana and have cheaper gameplay.
The effect is pretty strong though... I could see it in some sort of eggs shell.
I see the points against Boom/Bust and for Abrade instead of Bolt as valid. Also the current problem with Bloodmoon I can agree. I didn't think about Ancient Stirrings when I first saw Kozilek's Return in the deck. Still, I specifically don't like Blisterpod and Oblivion Sower in your Eldrazi suite.
Have you thought about the "normal" Stompy cards like Utopia Sprawl? I think at least this card (without the killable elf) might lead to a good start with T1 Sprawl into T2 LMC with 1 cmc Land destruction into T3 Karn. I think its important to deny as much lands as possible to steal fluid plays from our opponent. I never liked Trinisphere, therefore I would never put it in the Main, but it might be a powerful weapon for the sideboard.
Edit: 2 LMC out with Karn is a perfect way to interact with fetchlands. Therefore I wouldn't mind drawing 2.
