I was searching around on commanders spellbook for a way to go infinite with Tergrid's Lantern and I found the Strionic Resonator + Sands of Time combo. As I read how the combo works on spellbook, it claims I can activate the resonator to copy Sands of Times trigger "when any player goes to their upkeep". I'm a little confused. The way I read it, if I copy the trigger on an opponents turn, won't it just untap/tap their stuff and not mine?
Can I go infinite with Tergrid's Lantern on an opponents upkeep or just my own?
At first glance I wasn't a fan but once I got thinking a bit I really like it. Reanimating any permanent type at instant speed is no joke. You can respond to removal with protection auras and keep bringing back that Aura Shards or keep that Fiend Artisan alive till you combo
I really like the new Prossh lite. I stopped playing Prossh cause hes too good for my playgroup. Korvold, Fae-Cursed King seems like a nicely tuned down more casual option
My issue with chainer was not having any creatues I wanted to bring back or no creatures in the yard at all so I was just discarding to enable madness, which is fine but with Anje you also get to draw after which is basically always good.
Edit: Chainer is amazing and better then Anje imo but you're gonna need to ensure there is a high enough cresture count for there to always be something relevant in the yard as well as maybe some dredge or something.
Although I love Greven and hes my second fav commander from the set after Krrik, he would be pretty bad at leading the stock precon. On the Flip side, I really don't like Anje but in terms of leading the stock precon she's probably the best option
You choose what to sacrifice when the trigger resolves. If Ilharg's trigger resolves first and gives you another creature, you can sacrifice that creature to Greven. So all you need to do is stack the triggers correctly.
Awesome, thats what I thought but wasn't sure thx.
If Greven, Predator Captain and Ilharg, the Raze-Boar both attack, can Greven sac the creature Ilharg makes? Or would the sacrificed creature need to be declared before ilharg cheats a creature out?
You do it during the end step of the player whose turn is before you. They untap on your untap and get sacrificed at the beginning of YOUR end step.
Does this actually work? I thought if you made any action on a players end step it would resolve first due to how the stack works and then the tokens would immediately disappear. I mean, I could be wrong, im no rules guru but that doesn't sound right to me.
Edit: Just looked it up and I stand corrected, interesting. Thanks for the tip.
Typically a necro this old would get locked - but since this has seen quite a bit of interest and activity, (no doubt due to Anje), I'll leave this conversation to proceed naturally.
Just be aware if quoting someone... they might not be looking for the same answer today... =p
Oh man, I totally missed this was a necro or I wouldn't have posted and especially wouldn't have quoted a years old post lol

Thank you in advance for helping to clarify this.
Edit: Ooh they're mainly insect type creatures. Super lame. I expected a more going wide theme. Even still. 3 bugs in play is hardly a "swarm"
Haven't played the deck in years so I'm pretty rusty but I'll do my best.
Edit: I just responded on TappedOut. My username is Aphoticate
