If this deck cannot beat Tron, does that make this a worse version of it? I feel like all the good and bad matchups are the same, but the only difference is Tron wins the "mirror". I hope I am wrong as I have just started with the deck and I am having a good time. It may be less of an underdog vs Burn and Affinity which could help the win %.
Hypothetically, if anything gets banned from this deck, which card would they choose? Amulet or Bloom or both? Would the deck still be playable with no bloom, but with amulet?
I understand what you are all saying and I feel like I have been using my mulligans aggressively because of it. This is what is causing problems. I guess I could be running bad, or maybe going too aggressive on mulligans. I am testing both Chris Anderson style and the list that got 2nd at the last GP which both play differently. Tips on the differences would be welcome also Thanks for the help so far
I just picked up this deck the past week or so and I am struggling hard on the mulligan front. I feel like I need to mull to 5 or less around 25% of my games. I know my sample size is small, but I have gotten decimated over 20 or so matches on MTGO through terrible hands which feels like every time. Is there a good guide on which hands I should be keeping?
I think you need a larger sample of mirror matches. Like elconquistador said, I also have not lost a match where I land him in the mirror. I almost never beat an opponent that sticks one either. I would need exactly Path to Exile or 1 of 2 Skullcrack in my hand to have a chance.
In the current format I wanted 6 Anti-Life gain effects so I run 6 Atarka's/Skullcrack at 4/2. I want to be able to use Atarka offensively while holding a Crack for D.
Things I am considering... adding a 2nd Grim Lavamancer. Adding 2 Ensnaring Bridge to SB. Any thoughts? I could also throw 2 Lightning Helix back in over Exquisite Firecraft and/or a Searing Blaze/Shard Volley
wow, Bridge sounds awesome against several decks. I may try 1 or 2 over Molten Rain since we are already strong in Molten Rain matchups and weak in matchups we would bring Bridge in
P.S. What about Void Winnower vs Scapeshift?
Probably Affinity and Merfolk from tier 1. Amulet Bloom is another one. We also can't beat Ad Nauseum, but no use putting SB hate in
