Sleight of Hand, nice.
Ashiok, like mono Black needed more power, well here you go.
Somnophage, should have been GB not UB with a mulch affect and different name.
Moonshaker Cavalry, would they stop designing Commander cards for Standard sets, jeesh WotC who is ever going to play this in Standard at 8 mana. Stop it!
Restless Fortress: Huzzah!!! Man lands and this one is good.
General Observations:
Can't say I like the art on the full art lands.
Tough Cookie: Un sets called they want their artwork back.
Enchanting Tales: Some nice choices there just wish there weren't basically all mythic for the good ones.
Tomorrow we get previews or a first look into Wilds of Eldraine. Usually the Wizards Presents thing happens the latter half of August, so I dunno how this is gonna go down.
Thank you for that bit of information. I know spoiler season is incessant. Better communication on the part of WotC would be appreciated.
So the real question now is When do these spoilers/reveals start? When and where do we tune in? I don't feel like devoting any more mental energy at this point. Spoil it WotC!!!
Just wait until they put out trailers for the teasers for the announcements.
They may have already done this lol
They have had an announcement for announcement day in previous years for sure. I understand building hype but sometimes it seems quite pointless.
Can't wait to play all the other Deckmaster games.
Have you tried out Jyhad? aka Vampire: The Eternal Struggle. Got the Deckmaster stamp right on it. Don't know why it never caught on. I guess there are 2 others as well, Netrunner and Battletech, never played them myself.
Seriously though, a Redwall plane would be so dope. I loved those books.
I just read the 3 books about Martin many years ago. They were enjoyable and well written. I suppose I should read the others. I love tribal cards and this set would probably have less overall tribes but more tribal support for say beasts, cats, birds, etc. I wish they would just come out and make the announcements, the waiting gets old.
1- On Maro blog there had been talks about a Redwall like world which this points too.
Interesting. A world with no humans, elves, goblins, dwarves, etc. Just anthropomorphic creatures. A little bit like Lorwyn, Ikoria and Eldraine without bipeds. I'd be down with a set like that, hope it comes to fruition.
That looks 100% like Martin the Warrior from Redwall.
Okay I am going to walk back my edit a bit, The Old Rutstein image COULD indicate that we are going to see the Wild West set coming. A hat (and Duster!) like that is very out of place in Innistrad. Rutstein is a trader, he may have traded for that hat/duster from a Planeswalker visiting Innistrad from wherever the Wild West Plane is located or from someone who has visited that plane and traded the hat (via an Omenpath). The hat/duster could indicate we are about to see Wild West (which I am ecstatic about) or could just be a Red Herring. But I don't see why they would spoil that image if the hat & duster wasn't the tease. A return to Innistrad so soon seems out of the question, but again just my theory. Guess we will see soon.
I was really hoping Talrand was going to be in this set. It's been very hard to find a copy and luckily this set's is really affordable because it's just all reprints, like old core sets.
Nice sarcasm. I say that non-sacastically as well.
Hey there WotC. I'm a 20+ yr player of the game, mostly in paper formats.
I wish I could say Arena was great, but it needs work.
Example:
Tonight I played against an Explosive Singularity deck that hit me for 20 damage (I guess that's bugged!), then Mono-Red 12 games in a row.
Yep. 12 times, regardless of which deck I played.
So I'm taking a break from Arena Bo1, maybe forever. Your game is severely lacking if I only ever get to face one deck type.
Not a bad idea. I haven't touched Arena ever. Playing in paper since '94. You could try Magic Online but it isn't a lot "better" in the respect you are finding disappointing. They could tweak it (Arena) but they won't. I play a little MTGO but many of the same problems exist there. The e-formats are just pale comparisons to that of paper for we PRE digital players. Best wishes and hope you can find a solution.
The 30th Anniversary proxies flopped because of the price tag. If they want to sell such proxies in cheaper packs, they can do so without making a new game. It is unlikely that such proxies would be any more valuable than a serialized tournament-quality card in a comparable product.
Nobody is debating that and that isn't what I am saying. Yes you are correct in that point, but that isn't the point being discussed.
So again, for the third time. If you print a Black Lotus and make it playable in a Magic 2.0 game it is not a PROXY but a tournament legal card in Magic 2.0 Sure it could be used as a proxy in original Magic.
Tournament LEGAL is what will give it a greater monetary value. And if it has a greater monetary value, it can/will sell packs.
Is that information still coming soon?

That is the wait and we are still waiting.

Never mind, that is more than likely Old Rutstein and back to Innistrad yet again, yawn.
