Drain Life, as far as scapegoat is concerned it has been a huge allstar in the deck. yes it resets your board, but say you have purphoros out still or something similar. you almost most insta win on the recasting.

ISB, what do think about all the changlings? There's a few new ones that have come out. Would they be worth running or are we looking for cheap with good effects?

It's been awhile since I've commented. I've re-sleeved this deck preparing for the new cards to test. ISB, is the OP the current version? And what cards are you currently considering dropping? I'll work on some of your suggestions for testing and see how it pans out.

So my playgroup is trying out block format edh. We all roll a random block and a random core set to support it. We included the special sets such as commander and battlebond as a lumped together "core set".

Anyway, I rolled Scars of Mirrodin and 7th Edition. I decided to go with Glissa and do an infect/artifact theme. I've chosen all the cards that I like, I excluded any higher dollar cards that I do not own.

Current list is 162 cards and I'm trying figure out what to use to be on theme and still be a decent deck. Infect theme is the main focus with artifact sac/recursion backing it up.

Any and all thoughts are welcome, and I have a link to the list below.

You forgot to add that some players are just vengeful or a have a raging nerd boner for an individual that played a really good deck at one point. I was that guy that played a very tuned Nekusar list. It was brutal, but very stopable. I retired it and play a whole different style and way now, But I have 2 people in my group that auto target me due that deck. It doesn't matter what I play anymore even an ultra budget list that literally does nothing, I'm still public enemy number one. And God forbid a wheel effect or cyclonic rift is played, cause those individuals auto scoop to those effects. But basically the point is I agree with isbpathfinder, it happens and you just have to figure out what to do. Even if its helping people with deckbuilding, card choices, strategies and so on. It's all about helping others having fun and learning the game more.

As far as Scapegoat goes, it's been treating me well. I always get value off of it. I'm kinda inclined to say based on my meta, spot removal is needed for creatures. Mainly for the sole purpose of getting rid of something that totally blanks our board state to where we can't attack.

It's been awhile since I've posted an update, been rather busy. But I have played quite a few games lately. One card is sticking out at the moment....Legion's Landing. Never seems like I get to do much with it or at all. Have you ran across this at all ISB?

As to the mana base I'm running ISB, its your list card for card. I don't have any budget limitations as I have most of the cards. Specially the older stuff. Just jamming your list till I get some rebuilds done on my other decks. So I thought I would try yours out and help with the feedback.

Well, more reports. Minions' Murmurs is fantastic. Being able to dump your hand in the first couple turns and then refill was great. I'm surprised how fast and consistent this deck stays. Golden Demise I've concluded is a meta call. It's good for token/swarm and offing utility creatures. Other than that it should probably go. The only other problem I'm seeing atm is the land base needs some tweeking. Having red or white mana right off or when you need it can be really hard sometimes. I'm currently trying to find what would help alleviate this.

Elsewise ISB, deck is awesome and runs well. The others love it and hate it all at the same time. And as a sidenote, Necropotence is a kill on sight/counter now. My playgroups realized the power it brings to the deck and are aware I will jam it asap so it has earn a reputation.

Well, I technically have 2 in there with Rift and Silence the Believers. But the for the reason for no traditional wipes is that since most of the deck is a counter engine and I can play stuff fairly quick I can out tempo my opponents to the point where they are wasting all their resources dealing with me while the engine continues to go. Eventually they will run out of steam and I roll over them. Sometimes the deck takes off and never looks back. Definitely though there are changes to be made, just haven't really taken a hard look at anything quite yet. But feel free to make some suggestions. And if you happen to play the list, let me know how things turn out.

What is Baral doing in the list? Jace's Archivist is too slow, and the Discount Crew (Goblin Electromancer, Nightscape Familiar etc.. would be better off replaced by cards that actually do something.

Baral is part of the discount crew. The purpose of them is cheapen cost of spells to "storm" out so to speak. Makes a huge difference if paradox engine gets taken out or if its on the field. Paying 1 mana to wheel is pretty good imo. Archivist is a continual wheel with paradox in play, but I agree he may be too slow. I may need a better tutor or counter package or more cantrip draw. I'm unsure at this point. This is a low curve combo build, so I feel the higher cmc cards hurt the deck and would be suited more for a midrange style similar to my old list.

The comments are much appreciated and love the card suggestions. We all know fine tuning is rough due to slot availability. But keep them coming and I'll keep ya updated on progress.
