Would really appreciate a sanity check on the RVS double standard thing.

Rodemy is attacking Killjoy, literally saying he must justify an opinion because it's unjustifiable. He is, by his own paramaters, putting Killjoy in an impossible position. Again, for saying the words "potential light scumread"

Shadow was probing for meaning in Eternal/Vaimes' posts while his own seemed crafted to have none. But both him and Eternal really seem to be at the same place from different directions. Where Shadow was random early on real solving seems to have steadily crept in, and really that's all Eternal seems to have been doing with yes serious but not super serious pushing he just doesn't think of it as random at all.

So, to answer your question @Latin:
I think that was likely a town v town argument with a fair helping of meta clash.

Do you not like THAT I voted without giving reasoning? Or do you not like the reasoning I eventually gave?

Toastboy and tubba's entrances both feel like town working their way in to the game. Which may not mean as much for toast as he seems relatively experienced (though I particularly like him working through of shadow vs eternal) but iirc tubba is in his first game and that's pretty meaningful.

Both of their "to the heart of things" questions is exactly what I'm NOT seeing from blues.

Rodemy, do you think Killjoy intends to keep a light scumread on your first two posts going for the whole day? Do you have any opinion on Jey's post of ~reasoning right before the one you quoted?

    Jey, are you pocketing me?

More importantly, does your intuition tell you what inside information eternal has?

    Potential light scumread on Rodemy.

Oh? Explain. give me a PBP (read 2 posts.) I don't buy scumreads based off 2 rvs posts. The only thing you can get a scumlean from my first post is the fact i am voting seppel (my only meta) which would mean you'd mention Jey's vote on iso.. buuut hey you don't mention him at all. So it would have to be my one post about Eternal fearmongoring. What about that pings your scumdar?

This needs to be unburied from the megapost. Does anyone find this reaction to a "potential light scumread" 40 posts in to a game reasonable? Especially coming from someone who purports to believe RVS doesn't mean anything.

Eternal you are severely overestimating how much I care about you. You're a moderate townread who's posts I'd rather were shorter.

The post you made right before I voted you had 2 instances of it. One was eternal, the discussion on which went on at great length. The other was vaimes' lack of rvs vote.

I'm currently figuring out what exactly constitutes being random or serious in this meta. I'm currently leaning on you being a middle ground between, say, what eternal was doing which was pushing on things that didn't really matter just because you have nothing better to push on. Whereas Rodemy is actually demanding killjoy explain his read on him while saying it's unexplainable because RVS.

Oh right. Because apparently on this site you vote randomly to start for an indeterminate period, but all votes must be explained in great detail.

I voted Jey for talking about going with her intuition when confronted with actual evidence in 96. But in her latest set of posts she talked through it a little.

I am now voting Blues because the questions he claims help build understanding do not.

Rodemy's primary reason for voting people seems to be that he hasn't read their posts. Which is noted I guess.

The "thing", as mentioned, is random voting while holding people accountable for their random votes from the same time period. Still not quite sure what to make of it. Shadow's was more subtle where Rodemy's was blatant. Lurker sort of did it with his "I wouldn't have voted there if it was later" but that struck me as more pushing on what's there when there wasn't much to go on yet.

A keystone read is someone who's alignment helps me figure out more people. As of right now, I think Latin is town. As for what that means, I'll have to get back to you.

I see there was a couple Shadow posts I didn't see before my last one. Will have to remember to refresh this forum after posting.

He actually calls Eternal out in one of them (67) on the same thing I was seeing in him, though I see what Eternal was doing as a bit different. And then Rodemy did it just so blatantly in his notes post. So now I'm forced to wonder if that's just a normal thing when phases are this long. It seems really exploitable for scum if that's just a part of the meta. Will have to do some pondering on this.

Latin has a way of assuming peoples intentions that just... seems so innocent. It's kind of adorable actually. And I think it comes from town.

Blues' questions seem largely to be busywork.

Shadow continues to try to have it both ways. Sort of still being "random" but attacking people without having that in mind. It's a sort of manipulative use of the RVS stage that doesn't sit well with me. That said, he seems to be an aggressive sort and I'm vaguely open to the idea that it's just playstyle.

Eternal solidifying his town status. I like that all his thoughts are out there, and I don't see anything that doesn't track

Latin already looks like a keystone read. More on this, as it develops.

Soooo...if random voting sucks, I'ma have to assume that your Lancer vote isn't random.

    You assume correctly.

    Random voting sucks.

Early townreads to Eternal for casting a real vote and Kabazame for refusing to take part in the randomness.
