First MTG product I bought was an Odyssey tournament pack (thinking it was a preconstructed deck) and the first rare I saw was Karmic Justice. I don't remember any of the other rares in it, but I was pretty disappointed by that first rare I saw. Tongue

To be honest, I don't know if this is the right place for this kind of thread. If it's not, sorry in advance Mods. Anyways...

My friend and I went through a box of old cards my friend's brother gave him awhile ago (mostly old cards). We found a booster unopened (French booster, mind you) that we can't seem to identify. Tried Google, random card selling sites...we just can't find what set it's from. Looking for some help. Has a Copyright year of 1995.

I have taken pics of the front and back, to see if maybe someone can help us out. Thanks! Grin

(Sorry for the quality, it's taken from my phone. xD)

    Instant
Affinity for multicolored creatures (This spell costs 1 mana less to play for each multicolored creature you control.)
Monocolored creatures get -2/-2 until end of turn. Then, each player removes a card in their hand from the game for each creature put into the graveyard by this spell.

Eh. I'm not sure i'm too happy with this one. But, I'll stick with it for now.

(Been too long since I've made a card for one of these contests. :D)

    Good luck to all.

    So, here's the situation:

Friend has a Phantom Tiger out, with one +1/+1 counter on it as well as an Armadillo Cloak. I paid 6 mana and played Banefire to deal 5 damage to the Tiger, making the damage "unpreventable". So, here's the question. Does the Tiger die or not, since Banefire reads if X is 5 or more, damage can't be prevented.

I'm pretty sure the Tiger would die, even though it's a Phantom but my friend believes it can't be killed that way. So, who's right?

    Thanks. Smile

    *Gasp*

Over a week since a post was made? Well, let's fix that.

    Deathseed Vine
    :2mana::symgb::symgb:
    Enchantment Creature - Aura Vine
    Enchant creature

Enchanted creature gets +2/+0 and has deathtouch.
When enchanted creature goes into the graveyard, attach Deathseed Vine to another creature.

That seems reasonably costed I suppose.

    Anywho, next: Firing Range

  • posted a message on What is YOUR favourite ELF?
My favorite elf vote would go to Wellwisher. Back in the Onslaught days, I had made a Elf deck primarily because of this card. My casual group ended up banning it because of how quickly you could get your life up to unkillable amounts. Grin

Honorable Mentions would go to....probably Timberwatch Elf and Wirewood Herald.

(What can I say? I like Tribal decks, :p)

Probably the overall most impressive one of these things I've ever seen. Custom Super Mario World stages may have gone too far, I think.

    That was seriously awesome. OMG

To think, someone would actually have the patience to create that and sync it with the music is mind-boggling.

$4.15 I believe is the average price a gallon around where I live.

It's insane, to look back a couple pages on this thread, seeing 3 months ago prices were more than a dollar a gallon cheaper than they are now.

It's getting....ridiculous to say the least.

Speaking as both a player and a longtime judge, I think this round actually stifled creativity with the bonus.
As really you cannot change the card too much without in my opinion it being far removed from the original.

I thought a lot of cards were actually a little too far from the original and felt more new , All wotcs reprints were either colour shifted , type shifted or at least very very close to the original.
Now having read Kraj's judgings (specifically Cantrips) , I think he obviously meant a lot more lenience in deviation from original than is implied.
I thought cantrips was too far from the original , but turns out it wasn't so I think creativity will be down on this round as most people didn't want to risk not fitting the round reqs.

That was essentially the problem I came across ALOT when I was going over the cards in the Reserve List. I'd pick one, start trying to recreate it and then turning around, and seeing how much it was just like the original or going way too far from it.

I'm not disagreeing with Kraj on the rounds requirements, because I actually liked it. It made me actually think alot before putting my card together. But it was very tough.

Although, he did warn all of us on the difficulty of this months FCC. I didn't believe him at first, but now im wondering just how hard round 3 and 4 is going to be. Grin
